Well said, I love your matured response/contibution. Rather than blaming the institution the fellow graduated from, why can't people ask about the kind of elementary education and high school education the fellow received. Foundation and continuous learning matters! I can remember vividly while @ Orientation camp, a fellow that graduated from Unilorin couldn't write a formal letter. Then Majority started blaming Unilorin. I told them its individual problem and not institutional. SkyBlue1: Tribalism is a mental disease. The irony of its biggest offenders is they somehow see themselves as better than the people for whom they hold their bigotry.

To your question, It is very possible provided we have serious government that will not play politics with our power sector. It takes time though. As for me, I am not expecting much from Buhari. We can have constant power within ten years of serious work. Raxxye: Bonny could ring a bell in the ears of many as the town where the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas(NLNG) plant is situated, but for those who do not know, it is an island by the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and one of the 23 local government areas of Rivers State, as well as home to the newly a established Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas.
The most remarkable thing about this town is that there is never power failure! Yes, you heard well; Bonny residents enjoy 24/7 electricity supply all year round!
In my two-years stay in the town so far, the total time of power outage is less than 6 hours. Such outages are usually due to routine maintenance by the BUC(Bonny Utility Company). The residents hardly know how much kerosene or cooking gas sells for because they cook with electric cookers and power availability is guaranteed for their daily cookings.
My question is: if this could work in Bonny, can't this model be studied and replicated in other parts of Nigeria?

Romance › Re: 5 Qualities That Women Find Irresistible In Men by fOFT: 4:27pm On May 24, 2015 |
Very good write-up You made me remember lilan(a swiss babe, undergraduate tho) dating a technician(who has prospect) dunmorris: There's a reason you're attracted to certain people. One of those reasons is whether or not that person is masculine or feminine.
We're most strongly sexually attracted to people who have the opposite sexual essence of our own. This is not a male-female thing (you can be a man who identifies as more feminine, and vice versa); it's more about energy.
What this means is that the traits that make you distinctly masculine are the traits that attracts the feminine the most.
By no means am I saying that as a man, you must have these qualities to appear attractive to a female. Nor am I saying that every woman is going to want a man with the qualities that I describe below. But I'm saying that a lot of women do.
Here are five distinctly masculine traits that the feminine finds irresistible:
1. Presence
There is something about a man who is present that is just flat-out irresistible to a woman. There's no getting around it; it's just true.
What I mean when I say presence is your ability to be consciously connected to the here and now.
A woman can feel your presence when you listen to her. She can feel your presence when you are deeply engaged in a task that 's important to you. She can feel your presence when you're connected to your core.
Presence is a practice. It's something you can get better at. Culturally, we're in an epidemic of not being present; we find many ways to distract ourselves all day long. But if you want to learn to be more present, you can! The easiest way to do so is to start a meditation practice. Meditation will train you to connect to the here and now.
2. Purpose
A man with a purpose in life is hot.
Your purpose can be any number of things. It can be to change the world. It can be to push your body to its limits. It can be to build a business or build homes. It can be to be to make art, or to be the kindest person you know.
It's not about what your purpose is (although, honestly, the more it benefits humanity, the better — but that's just my opinion). What matters is that you have a purpose or that you're in the process of discovering it.
If you don't feel connected to your purpose yet, the best way to find it is to ask yourself what you're most passionate about. Your purpose is usually about sharing your passion with the world.
3. Direction
With purpose comes direction. Purpose is knowing what you are here to do and direction is doing it.
The feminine essence is more an essence of feeling and being. Yes, we do things (most of us do a lot!). But we're very attracted to men who get things done. He has a plan, and he's taking steps (even small ones) to accomplish it. This is a man's direction.
Your clear direction makes the feminine feel safe. If she knows that you can navigate well on your own, then she has more room to relax in your presence. She doesn't have to show you how to do it, because you already know how. (We like that.)
4. Honesty and trust
Obviously, trust and honesty are important qualities in all relationships. Trust comes from acting in honest ways, but the definition goes beyond that. What I mean when I say trust is, can a woman trust that you're being honest with yourself?
One of the distinct feminine qualities is intuition — and with our intuition comes the ability to sense your BS from a mile away.
When you learn to be deeply honest with yourself (about your struggles, shortcomings, challenges, strengths, all of it), then a woman will feel your integrity. And she'll trust you, too.
5. Humor
As you already know, humor is at the top of every woman's list for a potential partner. But why is this? Because humor has the ability to lighten a mood!
The feminine gets bogged down with her emotions, as well as her to-do lists. This is very stressful for us! If you can make a woman laugh, it's a gateway to flow. Women are very grateful for your ability to add joy and light to day-to-day life.
For all you men out there, keep in mind that your masculinity is a gift, to your partner and to the world. It is part of what makes you uniquely you. We appreciate the ways you're different from us.
In the comments below, women, please share with us the qualities of the masculine that you appreciate the most, and men please tell the masculine qualities that you appreciate most about yourself. I look forward to hearing from all of you! SOURCE: http://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-12345/5-qualities-that-women-find-irresistible-in-men.html |

Travel › Re: Info For All Those Who Want To Travel To Vietnam To Buy Clothes/shoes Etc by fOFT: 6:44pm On May 23, 2015 |
Nice You're a good person. How I wish our youth emulate this kind of behaviour iykbethany: This info is for genuine business people who wants to travel to Vietnam to buy items which they want to resell in Nigeria. For those who wants to travel overseas for hustling, please dont contact me as I am not a visa agent. Vietnam is a poor country, theirs nothing to hustle in South East Asia. Its this hustling thing that is landing our brothers in jail. Four Nigerian brothers were executed in Indonesia last week, what a painful way to die, a lot more are on death row in many countries, and thousands are serving different jail terms in many Asia countries.
Now straight to topic. As a Nigerian who wants to travel to Vietnam to buy things especially clothes, shoes etc, to get Vietnam visa a Vietnam based company MUST send you Visa Invitation/Approval Letter which you will take to the Vietnamese embassy in ABUJA to get your visa. The Vietnam based company will process the visa in Vietnam with their company documents, they will write that you are one of their customers coming to Vietnam to buy goods, it takes between 5 to 7 days to process the visa in Vietnam. Once the visa is approved in Vietnam, the Vietnam contact will mail you copy of the visa approval letter which you will take to Vietnam embassy to collect your visa. Once you arrive at the Vietnam embassy you submit the visa approval letter together with your passport, within 2 hours the visa will be stamped on your passport.
The most important document is the INVITATION /APPROVAL LETTER from a company in Vietnam, the visa is processed in Vietnam and the visa approval copy faxed to Abuja by the Vietnam foreign ministry. All you have to do is take copy of the approval letter to Abuja together with your passport and visa fee. Nothing like bank statements or taxes or any document. VIETNAM VISA IS PROCESSED in Vietnam by the person or company that is inviting you. you dont have any role to play, when visa is approved in Vietnam the person or company in Vietnam will send you approval copy to take to Abuja to collect your visa, no question is asked, no other document is required in Abuja other than the visa approval copy and your passport and visa fee.
CONDITION: You can source your own company that will process visa for you. But if you must use my contacts to get visa then my contacts will demand that they ship your goods for you, that's their benefit for giving visa assistance. The companies I work with are shipping companies owned by Nigerians living in Vietnam. The shipping cost from Vietnam to Nigeria is $5 per kilo, this is what every other company charge. The sad thing is, many people disturb me when they need visa, but once they receive the visa they change their number and never contact me again. For this reason my contacts are not interested to give visa assistance to anyone.
AIRLINE: Many airlines go to Vietnam, there is Turkish Airways, Emirates, Ethihad Airways etc. Personally I prefer Emirates though their fares are a little bit higher.
AIRFARE: As you know Airfare changes almost everyday like forex. So to know the exact cost of airfare just go to any travel agency in your city and confirm, or you go to any Turkish or Emirates airlines office nearest to you.
SHIPPING COMPANIES TO USE: I have 5 different shippers/cargo companies that i work with. I use only the best. Some companies are slow, you give them goods today and in 1 week you still never receive your goods in Nigeria. But some companies will deliver within 3 days.
HOTELS: Hotels are extremely cheap in Vietnam. There are many 3 star hotels for $20 per night. My preferred hotels are Hotel Tien Phu, Ngoc Hoi. Contact me for more hotel names.
TAXIS: Most Vietnam Taxis do not speak English, your hotel or agent should be the one to arrange taxi for you. I have only 2 taxi drivers that speak English. Every taxi has a meter so no cheating.
Please note that I am not a visa agent, I just help people who want to travel with my vast international connections. I give this info/assistance free of charge coz freely i receive and freely i give. Whatever you need just contact me, I am ready to help within my capacity. If you want to buy or source items directly from Manufacturers, warehouses, wholesalers etc just let me know, i will connect you to some trusted contacts on ground in Vietnam. During my first visit to Vietnam I wasted lots of money to so called agents bc i was a novice then. For instance, the first agent i worked with was charging me 50 cents per whatever item i buy. For example, lets say he took me to a shop where i buy 200 pairs of shoes, i paid him 50 US cents times by 200. You do the maths. Same thing if i buy 200 pieces of ladies wears, he gets 50 cents per wear. Later on i meet honest people who are ready to help with very little fee. With me you wont make same mistake. Just mention what items you want to buy, i have boys that will take you shopping for days or weeks, when you are returning to Nigeria you give them whatever fee you feel comfortable with. truth is, if you treat them well next time they will be happy to assist/shop with you, but if you are stingy next time you wont see their break light.
WHAT NIGERIANS USUALLY SHIP FROM VIETNAM: When it comes to highest quality clothes/shoes at the cheapest prices no country comes close to Vietnam. Vietnam is the number one choice for anything FASHION. I have imported clothes/shoes from many countries like Hong Kong, China, Turkey, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, India etc before i settled with Vietnam. So the following items you could buy and make money in Nigeria; clothes, shoes, football, tiles, furniture, bullet proof doors, sanitary wares, diapers, energy bulbs, aluminum products etc.
HOW MUCH TO START WITH: Many people have asked me this question and I dont think I am the one to tell you how much money to start a business with? Let me break down some of the expenses so that you will have an idea of how much money to start with. To get the visa will cost you around 500 or 600$, airfare is around $1,200 (more or less) depending on which airline you use, food/hotel/ground transportation will cost you another $300 depending on how many days/weeks you stay in Vietnam. Now do the maths. Apart from your expenses money, if you are traveling that far to buy clothes you should keep at least $4,000 minimum to buy your items. This $4,000 is excluding your expenses money like flight/hotel etc. Not that you cant start with less amount, but my opinion is for someone to travel that far and spend all these money for flight and everything you must have enough capital to buy goods, bc the more items you buy, the more profit you make. Am sure by now you will know how much money to travel with?
Finally, i want to give personal advise as a Nigerian brother. If you plan of going to Vietnam to buy or sell drugs please stop now because there is 99% chance you will be caught. Cocaine business is touch and die in Asia. If you are on Facebook, open the Facebook page of Cambodian or Vietnam Drug Law enforcement agency, you will see the sheer number of our brothers serving different jail terms in Vietnam and Cambodia. So many of them are serving 35 years in prison.
If there's any info I didn't remember today I will add later. if you have questions feel free to ask.
Stay safe and best regards. IykBethany |

Salam Alaykum AbuuUsaamah I respect you brother. May Allah continue to increase you in knowledge and piety. I hope it is thesame AbuuUsaamah that graduated from FUTA(B.Eng Agricultural Engineering?) AbuuUsaamah: Dr Fuad-deen Olabisi Kekere-ekun wrote:
THE IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING THE FEMALE VIRGINITY BEFORE MARRIAGE IN ISLAM.
Virginity is a very strong sign of chastity in Islam. It cannot be underestimated today no matter what reasons we choose to profer here or else where. The Prophet s.a.w. recommended marrying virgins.
That does not mean only those with intact hymens but those who have never attempted premarital sex till the time of nikah. Meeting the hymen intact or seeing blood stains on the first night is not as important as knowing that no man has touched the lady before getting married for the first time.
The nikah of those married as virgins are not the same with those married after they have lost their virginity through premarital sex because their first partner remains on their mind. Women should strive to keep their virginity till their first night in marriage for their first ever legal husband. That is the joy of it all and that is the culture that Islam treasures a lot and also a practice treasured in so many tribes and cultures of the world.
Virginity may not tell you the state of the heart but it definitely sends a strong message of morality, fidelity, chastity, loyalty and good home training and upbringing. No right thinking man will like to wish away such rare and invaluable precious qualities in a woman.
We are not marrying from Hollywood, Bollywood or Nollywood. We are marrying from a pool of well trained muslim sisters from good Islamic homes. That is why Allah says that the fornicator should marry the fornicatress, and the pure and chaste men should also marry the pure and chaste women.
Besides it does not matter or make much difference if a lady has been in jahiliyah or not prior to the time of practising Islam well and getting married. Jahiliyah is different from jahiliyah. There is jahiliyah with good home training and moral upbringing and there is jahiliyah with lack of home training and reckless and immoral upbringing. The fact that a lady grew up without Islam doesn't mean that she must have grown up loose without morality and chastity. Jahiliyah is not synonymous with reckless and immoral living and engaging in premarital sex and affairs. Most of our pious predecessors including the Prophet s.a.w. married before Islam during jahiliyah(ignorant) period and they married chaste women. In most cultures in the world, both Muslim and non-muslim, virginity and chastity are two inseparable twin qualities of good marriable spinsters.
We are not saying that only virgins are chaste but being virgins at the time of nikah is a sure proof of chastity. Of course there are exceptions but they must remain exceptions because the accepted and recommended norm in Islam is to marry muhsanat which means chaste women either from the never married who are expected to be virgins and previously married chaste women from among the widows and divorcees who must have been married as virgins the first time they got married.
However virgins are given priority over the previously married chaste women in the Sunnah of the Prophet (s.a.w.). Exceptions are chaste women who lost their virginity through rape or exercises when small but they must feel the loss and wish they didn't lose it physically though they remain chaste because virginity is a virtue and remains a virtue in today's immoral world though lack of hayah i.e. Islamic shyness and modesty in women is making many to disregard the sanctity and sacredness attached to virginity.
Those who lost their virginity before developing islamic consciousness but later sincerely repented are among the chaste women but they are not equal with those who eventually married as virgins. That is why the Prophet s.a.w. said that paradise is guaranteed for any muslim man who succeeds in raising three, two or even one daughter with sound morals till he marries them out. This is their reward for marrying out their daughters as virgins. And he (s.a.w.) also said that the cuckold men who allow their wives and daughters to go out of the home indiscriminately and live immoral lives will not smell the aroma of paradise and will not enter it. Our young muslim girls must be taught to value, cherish and jealously guard their virginity till they get married. They must be made to know and understand the implication of carelessly losing their virginity and the importance of keeping it intact till they reach maturity age of getting married so that they are not discriminated against when looking for marriage partners in the future.
Parents too must learn to protect their young girls from possible sexual abuse and rape incidences by never leaving them alone with strange men and grown male relatives who may abuse them. They must also be protected from useless sporting events and exercises that can lead to the loss of virginity. These measures are strictly observed in many non-muslim tribes and cultures of the world where they value and cherish virginity. Why not in the muslim community where it is a sunnah to marry virgins? Keeping virginity till marriage from time immemorial has been the best proof of chastity and the best way to remove all forms of suspicions of immorality and engagement in promiscuity.
There is no way of establishing or differentiating the way of losing a virginity once it is lost. No one can say the difference between a ''one-time offender'' , a ''chronic offender'' and a completely innocent lady who has lost her virginity so it is better kept intact till the nikah day.
We as Muslims and as good cultured and morally upright people of the world must continue to praise, glorify and recommend it as the Prophet s.a.w. did and taught us to do as a valid and strong sunnah that has come to stay.
May Allah keep us guided. Amin. |

jobless without a stable job:- yes, how can someone who is not eating 3 square meals remember ppl at home? this month he/she works and next month no job again and house rent ,water ,light etc are there to balance up.
Fraudster:- forget this kind of ppl and loose hope in them because they will never come home due to their crimes been committed within the country and he can't even near the airport if he is a wanted criminal. Abroad no be 9ja o ones they have your biometrics ,even if you bleach from black to green dey will get u.

Illegal migrants:- 78% of Nigerians living abroad are living illegal ,majority came with 3weeks, 2month, 1month visas but will not have the chance to renew there visas until they finally meet up with the country requirements and mind you if you don't make the steps early enough, just forget visiting police station if you dont want to be deported. so this are the kind of ppl that spend more than 10years without visiting home.
The marriage scammers:- these group of ppl will never visit home because they have forcefully marry a citizen of the country dey reside just to get residence permit. oyinbo wife no be like nja o if you mention say u wan go your country ehh be ready to spend some weeks in jail

You have spoken well(with high level of maturity). I wonder why OP posted 78%. calebo101: OP I'm sure you mingle with the wrong set of people. How did you arrive at 78% illegal immigrants abroad?
I know lots of professionals across various spheres working and running businesses that when you see them you're proud of being Nigerian. And they visit Nigeria quite often. Do you know the number of flights that leave for Nigeria daily from London and vice versa?
I personally visit Nigeria at least twice yearly cos I have a running business back home and also family there. Besides, all the reasons you gave are basically negative and could stem from the fact that either you're in the wrong circle which you need to change or you're unfortunate in the choice of people you meet.
And please don't say 78% when you don't know. So you met them and they told you they're illegal immigrants |
