Rickyzagy: In as much as the man is wrong for beating his wife in front of the kids. The woman still stand on what she vowed for at the alter.
BTW will you marry her if she divorce the husband? 1. Is the husband upholding his own vows? 2. If no 1 marries her after she leaves an abusive marriage that could leas to death, do you think it should be so worrisome? |

Why do women even bring their issues online? We live in a chauvnistic world. My mantra is to do what's best for my marriage however i avoid stress nonetheless especially the psychological one. These people, women inclusive will only judge you (cos they are enduring it too) and make you feel worse of yourself. Gosh! |
Family › Re: Help, My Husband Is Causing Me Pain by foi59: 1:24am On Dec 19, 2019 |
It's really shameful. This post reflects the mindset n attitude of 99% of Nigerian men. Albeit divorce may not be the next or even the best thing, "submission" however doesn't even guaranty a peaceful and long lasting marriage. A woman should be "submissive" no matter what, is all i see here. If this post was by a man, the woman would still have been castigated as "that is how all women behave". Women are not just for sex and child bearing na. We'll probably get there someday. That day, we must have realised that firstly, a woman is a human being as well. She's not a property, she has aspirations n dreams. She has the power to make changes and also make things work. Dora Akuyili, Asisat Oshoala etc. are women too and we are all happy with their impacts. This makes me ask should we all remain house wives (n then they'll say women have nothing to contribute except sex) or follow our dreams, perhaps our partners will be supportive. The truth is everyone is different hence the uniqueness of each marriage however, MUTUAL respect can do alot of good. Some women prefer to stay home fully others don't so maybe there's so much to consider before getting married and also backing it up with prayers that your partner remains the same. There's so much to add but i've been weakened by the comments. Peace! |

LadySarah: Bearing in mind that your name sounds muslim, are you sure a second wife isnt loading?
What needs to be said. 1a.When someone says hurtful things to you during a quarell, that is wht they have been thinking about you. 1b. 5x and you always come back. You are a good woman but Its time to change tactic.
2.The house belongs to both of you.If he says leave, dont leave. If he didnt push you or your stuff out, stay.Dont give him room to keep disrespecting you.Go to the fridge, take enough food then back to the sitting room.Make sure you stretch your legs well on the cushion and watch your favorite movie. You can Play a song and sing away .you can also Run around the house with your bby
If your presence irritates him, then he should leave. If he doesnt come back and the house is rented, make sure you stay till the last day of rentage and go back to ur parents, thats if he refuses to renew it. Thankfully, their home is opened for you.
3.The baby's welfare should be paramount to both of you.so,if he didnt buy it,both of you should endure the crying.Do not initiate any discussion anymore .
4.At this stage, you shouldnt think of another baby.Theres no peace here.Work on yourselves.
5.Pray.Counselling is also neccessary. If he refuses to go then let him be. 6.If it gets physical,Nne,run!!!!!!!!!! .
PLS,Thankfully you work.Stop these arguments.Ignore him when he tries to provoke you.Dont watch warroom .Pls make yourself happy. You owe it to yourself.Dont let any human define your happiness. Pls accept my ehug. I hug really tight tho |

Rence22: Good anytime. I studied communication and media and I have been lecturing in Nigeria and about to journey to canny and without French background. Since you are interested in moving into my field, the French they speak there has its own comma so you have to familiarize yourself with it. If you have good writing skills and reading as well, With those two, go into editing and content writing. I like that as well. Thanks |

maternal: Teaching French with the school board is a good profession. I'd carry on with that. If you don't want too I'd try working with the federal government doing something like communications. But continuing teaching would be very lucrative. Specifically with the school board. Thanks for the info. |

234ng44uk: People don't really want to teach. I lectured in a UK college and know this for sure. The teaching profession is very demanding with pay that doesn't match the workload, those natives you refer to avoid teaching. I'll advise you to process your teacher's qualifications here in Nigeria so you can hit the ground running immediately you arrive. Thanks! |

234ng44uk: Why do you think so? Any particular reason or just a confidence issue? Confidence? Absolutely not! I'm only trying to make a good decision based on recommendations from those who might know better in this field. Plus it goes without saying that in a country where French is their second official language, they'd have so many natives at their service. It's just the reality. |

Good day people.
Please i have some questions on my mind to help me settle in proper on arrival in canny. I studied French language in the university and have been teaching it ever since(over 5years) but I'm considering a career change in Canada because i want something more liberal and stuff that will give me the ability to relate more with people i.e adults. Although i wouldn't using French skill as well. I like the media i.e radio n TV (i also have some experience in it but no certification). Please what do you advise? What kind of careers are currently in high demand? Is media OK? What about HR? I just need general advise based on the present situation in Canada. Thanks a lot. |

Ifeoma77: 1. It's up to you and depends on your scores or if you intend to use it professionally when you get to Canada. 2. TEF is the only way you can prove it. 3. From my research, you will absolutely love Montreal and life there is crazy cheap. For example, rent on a two bedroom apartment in Montreal is less than $1000 Thanks a lot. I totally forgot about Montreal. Didn't even know about the cost of living. |

Hi good people. Please I have few questions to ask as intend to now go on this journey. I'll appreciate your advice 1. I speak French language so for the crs do I have to write ielts and TEF? 2. If I don't have write TEF how would it be known that I speak French (as an advantage in the pool) 3. based on the above information, whigh province would you advice? Ottawa, Quebec or just Alberta. This is important to me cos albeit I'd like a French environment, I'm also concerned about cost of living et al cos I'll be going alone with a child. Thanks in advance |
