Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Is This Job In Ivory Coast Real by Folaawori: 2:16pm On Sep 07, 2023
It's quite sad to keep seeing people being involved in fraudulent activities, especially young ones. It is always mainly because people just want to get rich quickly; this is the root of many of our problems. Most people just want easy money to spend, and most businesses involve easy, hard work. The QNET in question involves direct selling, and direct selling, as I know it from other companies in the market, involves serious hard work. Although it has a flexible work schedule, it still involves a lot of work hours and dedication. Distributors must work hard to build their network and develop their sales and marketing skills to help with the required product sales to earn and maintain strong customer relationships. It's a lot harder than these fraudsters make it seem

Everly14:

I investigated the situation, and the young man admitted to being involved with QNET. He's engaged in fraudulent activities. I confronted him earlier today. It's unsettling to think about how many people might have been deceived by them.
Investment / Funding And Investment Opportunities by Folaawori: 2:50pm On Sep 04, 2023
In today's business world, entrepreneurs are constantly seeking ways to get funding for businesses, and investors are looking for startups or companies to invest in to generate returns. There are a host of options available to both groups.

For entrepreneurs, traditional options include bank loans, where you can approach financial institutions for capital based on your business plan and creditworthiness. Venture capital firms are another option, providing funding in exchange for equity or ownership in your company.

Investors, on the other hand, have the option of becoming Angel investors. These individuals invest their money into promising startups in exchange for a stake in the business. Crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and BetterWorld allow you to raise funds from many individuals who believe in your vision. Government grants and business incubators can also provide financial support and resources for specific industries or startups.

So, research and evaluate each option to find the one that best aligns with your business needs.

I think we underestimate how our street food has been saving lives, especially during SAPA. With as low as 200 naira, you can be sure you can get something to eat. Ranging from
Suya
Puff puff
Akara
Moi moi
Boli
Roasted corn
Egg bons, meat pie, etc.

Even foreigners who visit Nigeria know of these foods and enjoy them. Not everytime Pizza and Sharwarma, lol.

Nairaland / General / Some Corporate Social Responsibilities Of QNET by Folaawori: 4:17pm On Mar 08, 2023
I just came across something that surprised and impressed me at the same time. I'm not sure many people know that QNET has a long history of engaging in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities worldwide through its CSR arm, the RYTHM Foundation (which stands for ‘Raise Yourself to Help Mankind’), to promote sustainable development. The company advocates the need to work towards a goal beyond financial success. They believe that money is just a by-product when people work towards driving lasting change in their lives.

Did you also know that the company works closely with the RYTHM Foundation on several projects in developing countries like Nigeria to make a difference in local communities and work towards sustainable change?

As part of its CSR, the company launched FinGreen, its signature financial literacy programme in Nigeria. It aims to develop healthy financial habits through education and training in the most vulnerable communities, especially among women, young adults, and aspiring entrepreneurs. FinGreen aligns with the United Nations SDGs and the Addis Ababa Agenda to provide adequate skills and developmental training for all, particularly youth, women, and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The company also partnered with Transblue to donate products to 2 different orphanages last year in Lagos. CSR is part of the critical principles of QNET, enabling the company to reach out to vulnerable individuals in society.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Just Received An Interview Notification From QNET. Can I Trust It? by Folaawori: 2:28pm On Feb 13, 2023
Is there any proof that QNET is the biggest scamming platform in Africa, as you said? If there isn’t, you’re just talking based on hearsay, and that isn’t right. What you described here is a recruitment company, and QNET does not offer employment; some posts on this platform have explained they only offer business opportunities for entrepreneurs. Find more about them before making conclusions.

When they succeed in scamming you, they will ask you to introduce your relatives or anyone very close to you

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Could This Job Offer Be Scam!!! by Folaawori: 10:40am On Jan 26, 2023
Do you guys know that some people in network marketing may engage in unethical practices, making some companies an easy target for badmouthing like this? QNET has always complied with local regulations in any country it has operated in, paid taxes, contributed to numerous philanthropic activities, and reinvested in the country. Instead of badmouthing a company that wasn’t even referred to in the post, find out who they are first; you can find out more on this site www.qnet.net.

NickD:

It's a scam, I'm sure it's those amezcua qnet criminals. Better run. They also contacted a colleague of mine last week asking him to send NIN, Passport and to keep 550k for documentations like holding number, international work permit and other stuff...interview is to be held in Port Harcourt somewhere in Eleme. They're scammers and stay away from that in law of yours. He is not a good person

Nairaland / General / Thoughts On New Year's Resolutions by Folaawori: 8:52am On Jan 16, 2023
I enjoy reading on social media about the changes people claim to be willing to undertake differently from last year. Well, this is alright. We all need reset buttons that will whip us to sanity.

I am curious to know how realistic these resolutions are because I’ve never had any. I have also made resolutions for myself this year to satisfy my curiosity.

1. Exercise daily.
2. Reduce my screen time to the bare minimum.
3. Eat healthy
4. Say NO to procrastination.
5. Maintain a fixed sleep schedule.
6. Read a lot.

I will be able to tell whether or not it’s an effective mechanism come the end of the year. I will keep you posted on my progress.

Happy New Year, guys. Cheers to a more fulfilling 2023!
Business / Rules Governing Direct Selling - Does QNET Abide By Those Rules? by Folaawori: 9:27pm On Dec 07, 2022
A trending assumption these days is the availability of Direct selling “job” opportunities. Even though Direct selling companies may have vacancies in specific departments, “direct selling” is not a job. It is simply a sales channel companies use to promote their products away from a physical retail location.

Like many other industries, the industry is guided by specific rules and regulations that every organisation must follow in its business operations. For example, the World Federation of Direct Selling Association (WFDSA) has a Code of Ethics that sets standards for members on many relevant topics, including recruiting practices, products and service guarantees, sale and return of product inventory and earnings claims. They also have the authority to enforce the rules with remedies from fines to suspension from the national Direct Selling Association (DSA) membership.

Contrary to most posts I have read here, one of the most compliant direct-selling brands I know operating in the Nigerian market is QNET.
I was invited to a seminar by a friend last weekend. I thought it would be one of those talk shops people usually will organise. To my amazement, it was a great network of young professionals who were being trained about the “red lines” of QNET and the direct selling module. They addressed integrity, honesty, transparency and interpersonal relations as key to successful and trustworthy Independent Representatives.

As a leader in the industry, I realised that such initiatives are all to have stakeholders adhere to all regulations of the practice as expected by regulators. The WFDSA encourages member companies to provide adequate training to enable independent salespeople to operate ethically.

Additionally, the company has developed an organisational code of ethics as part of its corporate policies to ensure that all Independent Representatives (IRs) it network mandatorily uphold these principles in all their dealings and activities.
Do not be deceived into believing that direct selling involves you introducing your close family and friends to a business away from home for any fee.

Business / Re: What Is A Direct Selling Company? by Folaawori: 8:21pm On Nov 18, 2022
QNET officially marked its launch in Nigeria earlier this year in April. During the event, QNET announced a major partnership with Transblue Limited, a customer service logistics company. This partnership has in effect made Transblue QNET’s lead market partner in Nigeria. Important newspaper outlets like The Vanguard, This Day, and others covered the event and published the story. So yes, the company is legally operating in the country.

Based on what I’ve noticed from their activities since April, especially from their Financial literacy initiative, FinGreen, it is clear that QNET in partnership with Transblue has brought its global experience to Nigeria with the intent to boost entrepreneurship in Nigeria through a well-established international e-commerce and Direct Selling ecosystem.

Apart from Transblue, QNET also partnered with Financial Literacy For All (FLFA), a Nigerian based non-governmental organization, committed to economic empowerment and poverty eradication through financial information dissemination and economic education. FLFA is the major channel through which young people were enlisted to be a part of the FinGreen initiative.

QNET has also equipped People Living With Disabilities (PLWD) with essential learning skills through Sports education in the country. They provided the foundation with school materials such as uniforms, educational materials, and learning accessories to ease their financial burden. This was also covered by important media outlets in the country.

All these show that currently, QNET is operating in the country, and all their operations so far have been legal.

Direct Selling business sectors have grown rapidly over the last few years, lifting millions of Nigerians and Africans out of poverty. The entry of QNET in Nigeria is in line with the government of Nigeria’s vision to partner with the private sector to effectively achieve the desired economic recovery and transformative growth.
