Then there's not much difference with what we are saying now madam. Everything is attributed to who is more powerful, some women would go to that ogba river like as if they're going to their kitchen but their power will still fail them if the deity backing the husband or family is stronger or vice versa. Power pass power like you said.
But wait ooo I don dey suspect you, this one you've been to both ogba and igboba maybe ovia too self. I hope we are safe? No be say small vex person go vex you for here you go touch phone turn person to grasshopper sharp.

Yes. I understand what you're saying.

Power pass power for Benin. That na normal thing.

Lol, it's Ikpoba (not Igboba). Hahahaha, Ovia river is on another level entirely. That river has claimed lives, even a popular Benin-based clergy, Pastor Charles Osazuwa went to that river to pray and pour anointing oil. This was years ago though.

Hahahaha. If I naked swear for person, e go affect am. angry

Small stealing for the community wey dem dey call ayelala or Oba's curse on human traffickers(madam),cases like this make people think twice before indulging in some things...

Lol yes, there are still checks. I totally agree with that.

All these do not stop people from doing wrong deeds though.

I'm not insinuating that. I mean for the woman's spiritual fortification to override the husband's lock on her from the deity they did the rites to. Note my emphasis is only on married woman ooo not single, divorces or widows.

There are also married women that have spiritual fortification and even if they go outside to cheat, nothing will happen to them.

Power pass power.

Do you think all those curses Israel DMW was laying on his estranged wife will affect her? Somebody that will prosper. grin

He's right but it also depends on how strong the fortification of the said husband is or how strong the woman is also spiritually though this one is rare. Some men actually don't really do anything when claiming to but the fear of the rites will make the wives not to trespass because of other people's incidents.

Lol and who told you that it is rare for Edo women to be spiritually fortified.

Have you been to Ikpoba River or Ogba River on a daily basis? How many of the people seen at the said rivers are men?

I've been to both rivers and I know what I'm saying.

There are also some set of women that are not meant for marriage. Any man that decides to make it official with them dies. These women belong to the gods, although they are free to enter several sexual relationships with men. I have a friend whose mum is unmarried and have different kids with different men. She too cannot marry.

I'm surprised it is coming from her,an Edo woman....For all their shortcomings,Paternity fraud, adultery is what I could vouch and swear they could never do.

I don't think cheating/paternity fraud/adultery is solely tied to a specific gender or tribe.

But I can tell you for free that Edo women have a healthy appetite for sex. Just like every other tribe.

He wanted me to get pregnant for him, I said NO. He went ballistic and called me a swine. Lol. No wahala. Oga, if you must want the milk, come pay for the cow that pumps the milk, simple.

Plus, he lived a fast life and I did not want to be part of it. Had a lot of disgusting vices I could not condone too. I complained so much he nicknamed me "nag". I tried all I could to make him a homebody like me, but his choices were baddies which he tried all he could to make me be (which isn't bad), but I was uninterested. Two contrasting humans. We just stopped communicating but he is still generous surprisingly. grin

Oh wow. I really detest men that always push for pregnancy out of wedlock. Just like kuku do the right thing and put a ring on it.

Lol. To be baddie nor bad oh, at least there's God fearing Baddie. grin

You tried sha. I haven't met these set of men that'd want to date me and I pray they keep avoiding my path.

Darling,

It does not work that way. Not every supposedly generous guy is generous in the whole sense of it. Some men are very ready to sponsor your vanities but will never fund a dime to set you on the foot of financial liberation. I mean, these sort of men will rather buy you hairs worth millions than fund your potentials that can make you soar. As a girl who wants something different for yourself, what must you do if you meet such man? Must you not ask and misappropriate the funds for your own good?

Sometimes, misappropriation of funds in this context is not a bad choice. Unless there is a pattern, then it should be looked into. Until then, all I can see is a woman is very entrepreuneurial and ready to financially liberate herself.

Thank you, Uyai.

Point taken. But I find it very weird though. Splurging on women for vanities but not doing same for financial liberation.

Men are weird. Later they'd be bashing materialistic women. angry

Not glad he did because he went contrary to his beliefs as a gospel-propagating Christian.

And NO! He shouldn't use any form military to drive home his points... We're not in a military rule.
We have the civil courts go take care of issues like this.

Besides some of these people are shady... Always with a skeleton in there cupboard.
So don't ever expect someone in such caliber to accept guilt.

I totally get your point but let's put it this way. Let's put aside "gospel-propagating Christian", he is a brand on his own and it is within his own right to protect the brand's image.

Lol I agree we're not in military rule but this is Nigeria, people are gullible, there's also herd mentality, rumours and rumour mongers who spread false information about people and people unknowingly accept that narrative without knowing the truth.

There's also the civil courts for that too. Yes.
But oh well....

Looool I see where you're headed though.

Kukutente23:

You still do not get it.

You are fixated on spending and not the reasoning behind the spending

You keep pushing the narrative of everyone is free to do what they like with their money which is correct. But you should also know that more importantly, anything you have as resources should be well managed to yield maximum benefit.

Again, someone who can only think of frying yams is on the lowest rung of the economic ladder. Such persons have no business wearing a N250k hair. The boyfriend who gave her the money is more foolish because from the lady's response, it is obvious he has not taken care of things she feels are more important to her before going to N250k hair. If he had already satisfied more cogent needs for her, there's no reason she would have gone to buy yams and oil with the money he gave her for hair.

The lady is wiser than him obviously. If she does not have a job or means of sustenance, and he has not provided her one but is giving her 250k for hair, it shows how shallow and frivolous he is. The lady is more sensible than the guy obviously.

That said, someone who prefers uber to driving and can afford it is within his rights to do so. But he should also be aware of the limitations such as moving at night and cross country movements. So with that, you'll see that having a personal means of movement is more desirable than using uber and its not just the economics alone but the convenience.

And again, wearing a 250k hair to jump buses is utter foolishness. There are some things that make sense and some don't.

Lastly, you now think it's because I can't afford it that's why I'm against the spending. When I said you're a parasite, you denied it. Well, you're now thinking as one

It is futile going back and forth with you.

I agree with you. I'm a parasite indeed. A wonderful one at that.

Thank you.

Kindly accept the assurance of my warmest regards.

The gospel singer won't like a defamation trial.

Lol yeah.

But intimidation tactics is the best way for them to retract such statements. Anytime they hear 'sue", they always go into panic mode. I'm sure he's using that to drive home his point.

Please, is it that you wannabe Nairaland feminist derive joy making an issue out of nothing?

As a graduate of law, you ought to be brilliant to know when someone used the word "Nearly Impossible"

Someone used "Totally Impossible" but me wen use "Nearly Impossible" you guys are already in my mention with placards of unsolicited sermons.

Anytime a female user disagrees with y'all, the next thing is to label feminism. That format is really stale please. Be creative and get a new label. kiss

Since you want to play smart, you should know by now what "Nearly impossible" means and its synonym. Kindly find attached.

Don't also try to make a big deal out of it because your mother is also a Nigerian lady. You didn't think about this when you subtly shaded Nigerian women?
