There were lots of inconsistencies in her story hence the case dismissal. However, it was established there was a sexual encounter between those two, let's not forget that.

And yeah, an out of court settlement was better. It would have been way messier if Khan was subject to cross examination if the courts were to proceed on the matter.

The housekeeper was even an asylum seeker and had a boyfriend whom she'd been communicating with, she targeted Strauss Khan because she knew he was wealthy and in a higher position, even there were phone records then that evidenced her knowing her intention from the get go. I was highly invested in this case in my younger years.
