No, You can combine them as long as they meet the NOC you are claiming points for. If you have 3 years + work experience in one company out of the 5 for the NOC you are claiming points for then you can stick with that company alone. The rest of the work activity can be reported in your personal history. The most important thing is satisfying the requirement for the points claimed. You do not have to include all the 5 establishments as long as you have exceeded 3 years plus work experience in either. This saves you having to provide work reference letters from all the 5 establishments. I hope this helps. kentoski: Good afternoon people, I took the first step towards my PR journey today, I pray that favour shall be all our portion in this journey.
I have about years work experience but in like 5 different establishments, and internships included, please in calculating the CRS points, in order to get the points for having 3 years experience, does the experience necessarily have to be in one role/company?
Any help in clarifying this will be greatly appreciated. |

ken2sure: Please how is this question relevant? Besides, financial institution doesn't necessarily have to be a bank! But to satisfy your curiosity, yes,it is a bank!Any relevant response will be appreciated. Thanks. @bolded, Don't you think I know so! There's your response below. The reason I wanted you to be specific was for you to get better assistance. Financial Institution is a broad terminology, I hope you get my logic. Valid. Just the NOC work history you are claiming points for. Everything you do in PRE-ITA, the work reference field will be waiting for you during e-APR. So all other work history goes under "personal history". hiscules: Thank you for the clarification.
I require another clarification, on my profile ,i provided only the work history for which i want to claim points and left out all my other work experiences, does this make sense or am i expected to include all of my work history on the profile? |

Can anyone assist with the NOC for these job roles. Been racking my brain for the ideal NOC but the more I look, the more confused I get. Contributions Will be highly appreciated.

I assume its PRE-ITA profile. If you say "YES" and you get the ITA, you will need to provide work reference. Kindly note that it was stated there in the details if your read it properly. To avoid that click on "NO", then when you get ITA, you put the work history in the "Personal history" field made available for your spouse during your e-APR. Since your spouse is not claiming any points for work experience except he/she has canadian work experience. hiscules: Hello House,
when completing the profile, can i just select "NO" for the spouse work history part?
If i select "YES" will i need to provide spouse work reference letters?
Thanks

Nice...great news revlane: Thanks for the input. I raised the issue here so many people can learn from it. Sometimes they minute on your application and just leave it like that for months not touching it. You won't know what is going on. My advice is to take note of all these info here before submitting any application and when you notice their isn't movement for a long while (Not London V.O) try to order GCMS to at least see your application status. I have been asked to pay RPRF sha so I guess am lucky. |

I was last aware of N298 as at mid september. So my advice is to use N300. Foreign Exchange rates are stabilizing. ysmd: @Folamingo. This is an eye opener. Pls wat the black market rate as at today. |

Shu! You should be thanking God, the application was not cancelled/rejected. If I were you, I would have calculated using black market rate by now, gotten the shortfall in my account, printed another statement and raised a CSE with the new POF details. In my opinion, how can rates be locked in My advice to people use Black market rate (this gives a buffer from official rate)...you know the naira is subject to foreign exchange fluctuations. Abi eventually when you get PPR and travel, is not the current black market dollar/PTA rate you will use for conversion? Even sometimes they ask for POF at the point of entry... My 2 cents...we are learning. revlane: I received copy of my GCMS yesterday and on it the case analyst said in bold letters that according to the GTB exchange rate at the time of my application, I do not meet the minimum required funds for single applicant. Hence under Eligibility, it shows Review Required. I fixed 3M which at that time was about 12,700cad using Oanda which I uploaded. My question is did I miss something, or the funds I fixed should have been more than that? Is it now advisable to use bank rate? AOR May 25 MP July 5 NA2 July 5 Application at Ottawa |

Very soon "beggar on the road will say you are rude for ignoring them". Na wa o, who is looking for information? The fact that you require someone to help you is enough reason to be humble. This is a public forum and you do not expect everyone to share your ideologies. So my advice, if you get a response that you perceive is rude....waka pass....eventually someone will be nice enough to give you what you desire and if paraventure it never comes "research, research, and research". If someone says google, search, read from "0", it's for your own good in my opinion. Once you have acquired the knowledge, no one can take it from you. Also you really need to understand what you are getting yourself into. This is permanent residency (relocation) and not visiting visa! A word is good enough for the wise.... KweenCee: What baffles me is how someone who claims he/she has toured the whole world can be so rude to people on here. With the "claimed" level of exposure, I expected more. The most annoying part is the guts of some other person who hasn't even attempted IELTS.
some other persons hobby is to instigate trouble in a bid to run down folks.
To everybody, not just the newbies, focus on the mark and do not be discouraged by those rude and arrogant responses. Do not batter words with the high and mighty, pick the answers you need and ignore the proud. |

They just issue COPR for the US citizen Canadianfly: So do they give a letter for US citizens instead of the visa? How does it work? And in a case one has Nigerian and American passports, does it matter which passport you use for the application? I plan to use all Nigerian passports for everybody. Uniform things...less complication. hope they won't ask for the American passport? |

If it was stated in your passport request letter to send only a copy of the data page then you do so. If it was not stated, please send the physical passport. I fell victim of that mistake and incurred extra shipping cost sending it. Cheers ranjitksubraman: Thanks you! It's a Great Relief!!! Another Question... My Daughter is a US Citizen. Even though it is Visa exempt country, I want to be sure and do want to end up sending her original passport again...

Hi guys, finally application approved, COPR and Visas on hand. The journey came with its delays, from waiting to get medical passed to BG status changing to IP2 and the wait for the Golden email to the finally getting passports on hand but God saw us through it all. Hallelujah! Initially the journey started with an application to SNP in December 2016, because we never thought that the draws will fall below 450 (which nobody anticipated following earlier trends). Lo and behold, 2017 ushered in a new dawn and we are grateful to God and scores dropped like the walls of jerico (those that knew scores in 2015/2016 will understand) and there it was ITA. I immediately withdrew the SNP application and commenced gathering of documents. Areas that gave me sleepless nights: 1. Marriage certificate uploaded was a black and white photocopy (for some weird reason I was worried it wasn't uploaded in color) and Rank/Profession discrepancy, thanks to the registry. 2. Used 90% gift deed from father with proper letter of explanation and supporting documents. 3. GTB Bank statement were in black and white except front and back pages that had stamps (reason for this was to shrink the document to fit 4MB as the statement was voluminous)....and I used gift deed....I know right. But at the end of the day....the rest is history!!! The timeline goes thus: Family size -----------------------Principal + 4 dependants ITA ------------------------------- 22 Feb AOR - ---------------------------- 11 Apr Meds passed -------------------- 14 June BGC: IP1 --- ---------------------15 June BGC: NA ------------------------- 19 June ADR(1) -------------------------- 12 July - Schedule A (IMM5669) - PA .... I submitted 13th July ADR(2) -------------------------- 17 July - Schedule A (IMM5669) - Spouse.....I submitted 18 July BGC: IP 2 ----------------------- 27 July PPR------------------------------- 4 Aug (Email received Aug 5 - 4.41am.....i saw d email 8am) Passports sent to Accra --------- 7 Aug Delivered ------------ ------------9 Aug Additional Passport Request ----18 Aug Passport sent to Accra - -------- 18 Aug Delivered------------------------- 21 Aug Application Approved-------------31 Aug Pick up mail sent -----------------11 Sep (mysteriously it was sent to my spouse's email after sending mails and calling) COPR & VOH ----------------------15 Sep AOR - PPR - 116 days PPR - COPR - 42 days ....delayed partly because I did not send my kids US passport initially (sent only data color page), they later requested for it which you saw in the timeline and also Pick up mail wasn't sent out the next day. Canny Land here we come..... |

Yes, for instance, ignoring a full stop, or downplaying minor errors in speaking, e.g stopped talking when not told to do so, the examples could be endless. If a marker was strict or extremely detailed and they decided to be less strict during remark, what will you call that? So unmerited might be a harsh word...it can be "let my people go"......at least you deserve that for your wasted time, effort and monies paid. After all they know your reason for a remark. elfmann: Robbery is not only when money is involved. Keeping u from using ur trf for 9weeks and still confirm ur final bands is purely robbery. Some people can't wait and have to redo.. Some do both. Do you mean they take pity on folks and give them unmerited bands? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by folamingo: 9:54pm On Sep 04, 2017 |
Robbing? You are still paying for the remark. In order for you not to lose both ways, I believe they empathise, overlook and add marks. Remember the difference between bands could be one mark. So don't push your luck...lol elfmann: Great stuff! British Council is robbing folks. People should always challenge them even as they make a remark request unattractive. However, I don't know if the guy meant Writing or Reading, but no matter which, people should always encircle all bands to hedge their bets ( the N15, 000) and show British Council we don't believe them any more whether on objective or subjective sections. |

But if there are gray areas, please leave it out, so as not to pour sand in your garri. mzjennypher: Please is it compulsory to add payslips. i have read severally on this thread that payslips may be excluded but today i am reading something else on payslips. I didn't include mine for my son and was later called to send it. So I incurred double cost . This applies if you used the US passport during the application. Cheers

In respect of Nicole's post, I believe everyone is right from their perspective. While I can understand she is looking out for herself (which is entirely human), there is someone else's life involved. This is someone that she claims she is planning to marry and suddenly the thought of relocating is bringing out doubts! That comes out "screaming at anyone", so which means circumstance will change how you see your spouse when you eventually get married. No condition is permanent. The poor man you see today, could be the richest man tomorrow.
Learn to trust your partner's struggle. Its really for better and for worse. You saw some qualities in him to date him, and eventually believed you could settle down with him. There is no perfect woman or man. You mould them by accepting their weaknesses and building on their strengths.
Let your foundation be LOVE and trust in God as circumstances change!
