Takes like 63-70 days to pass medicals now, so you are still in order

No, I am not worried about it (for now). It only crossed my mind when Dupyshoo mentioned it yesterday.

AOR was 31st March and nothing has changed since then.

You just have to know your right and the reason behind any bank's decision, then you can take the appropriate steps. Perhaps because I worked in a bank for 8 years, so I know what is obtainable. I am just informing you, because they will try and bamboozle you, just ask to see the manager or the operations manager and let them understand you know what you are talking about.

I got my reference letter from GTB on my savings account and I did not know any OGA! Also nobody is sticking out any neck, it's not a letter of guarantee, its just providing information about your account. Remember, there is a caveat at the end of the letter.

KYC (Know your customer) is the key word here, since savings account do not meet the KYC level the bank is comfortable with, they will not issue the reference letter.

Also do not use words like "Never" when you are not absolutely sure

Remember, a bank is rendering service not the other way round.

But if you have a current account, request they get an approval for the reference letter on your savings account because it's the same customer.

But if you do not have a current account, tell them you can provide references on the account to allow them issue you the reference letter or open a current account, whichever is more convenient.

GTB is so messed up. If you have an alternative please don't keep your POF in GTB, they are claiming they give no reference letter whatsoever for savings account. So pissed off! Seems I'll have to make do with just my statement of account.

Just put tourism/vacation. I do not think they are interested in the details.

But if you are not comfortable with the purpose above, then "Medical Tourism" is the appropriate term.

Its a bank and they are full of issues. Im owing them cos i used up thier credit card and also some other expenses here and there. Im sure dey would ask me to pay it before giving me. What will the LOE entail. Pls give a valid instance

Actually I have update for the team after I raised cse to upload eca,ielts and subsequent cse for my spouses visa history.

Thankfully I got Medical passed 12th may
I also got request for additional information on travel and personal history.
Background check was stated as the next thing to be done.
I hope to submit today latest tomao.

Please we should all be careful when uploading application documents after getting your ITA.

Someone's application was rejected and cancelled for erroneously uploading his son's birth certificate in the Passport page field.

So I was able to deduce that passing of medicals for Nigeria takes about 47 to 65 days after eAOR going by other applicants info. It has analytics where you can see all status up to PPR.

The information said Valid Travel Document that you will use to travel.

Unless the uploading all is just providing surplus to requirements.

Its a dicey one. I will appreciate seniors that have gotten PR to comment on this, so we don't end up uploading documents that have no impact on the application.

You should upload scanned (colored) copies of ALL your passport pages (i.e old + new passports). Leave out the blank pages and upload only pages with stamps and markings.

If you end up with a lot of pages that exceed the 4MB limit, then make use of pdf mergers / compressor / etc. on the internet.

And what is the big deal in that? VO does not think the way we do. You are the one assuming that it cannot be gifted, evidence and fact is what they work with. Indeed, his statement can show his turnover, but not the POF sitting in there for 6 months. That is actually part of the reason people use gift deed to eliminate the 6 month period.

You work for ten years and all your funds will be liquid and in the same place? and you assume everyone is earning the same income as well? I as a person dislike idle funds, when money can be doing better things.

So lets be sensitive to the fact that we are all trying to meet the requirements. If he brings in funds from anywhere right now whether his or not has to be explained, that is the bottomline. So those options are what we should be making available to him.

So my advice is get the gift deed to the tune that you can in addition with what you have that has been sitting for 6 months/can be explained (sale of land, property, etc). It doesn't have to be on the dot, it can be in excess.

@revlane, Your mother tongue is your native language, so I suggest you put Yoruba. You have your IELTS result which shows your English proficiency.

Its essential to be aware of opportunities that are available whilst in Canada. Nobody is going there to intentionally be a burden but if there are benefits that are available by the virtue of having a PR/citizenship status, it only makes common sense to access them. The fact that Nigeria doesn't have them available, doesn't mean it's a taboo in Canada. If you are eligible or you fall within the requirements, you go for it. Sometimes some people perish because of lack of information. But also its a thing of choice, if you feel the it's against your principles you can decide to struggle and reject all benefits. But please all information to make life easy and improve standard of living will be appreciated,(nothing is useless) that is why most of us are relocating in the first place.

Hi, stumbled on this after much digging. I think you should follow the "at least" 35 x 45mm...which should be the least for the frame as instructed when uploading.

The 50 x 70mm is for the PR card but to play safe I just did the 50 x 70mm frame while ensuring the size of the head, from chin to crown, was between 31mm and 36mm.

Hello everyone, I just got ITA, and presently , I am gathering documents. Please, what is the size of the digital photo we are expected to upload? Some sites say 35x 45mm, while some say 50x70mm. For those that have passed through this stage and have been successful, what size did you upload? Also, is reference letter alone enough or one has to add payslips?

This is a follow up question, is offer of employment needed? I thought is was just the work reference letter. Please gurus in the house, kindly help clarify

I have received it thankfully. I'm now putting my documents together and I have a set back. for one of my jobs I cannot find the offer letter. I thought I had it with me but I just realized it's lost. The company has gone of business, so I'm confused, is there anyway around the offer of employment, this is the job I based my application on.

I think its advisable to just follow the specifications I posted earlier to avoid this as that is what they will use for the PR card

Its the first one you wrote. Its stated when you click on the infromation (I) adjacent upload passport

If you go through their FAQs, you will see the various options you have for the proof of address.

What I did was to provide the following that were included in the FAQs:

1. Drivers license with my current address there
2. Bank Statement with my current address
3. Rent Receipt showing my name and current address

I also chose the normal option of 10 business days and chose 2 free options for delivery:

1. To an address in UK
2. To my current address in Nigeria

In 8 working days, I was informed it had arrived the UK location, while I believe the one to Nigeria is in transit.

So I had them scan the one received in the UK which I have uploaded. Shikena.

Well, I did mine at "The Childrens Practice and Consultant Practice" and I used photocopies of passports for myself and family. Apparently, I forgot them at home and I honestly wanted to go back but the lady said I could print them out if I had the soft copies which I did. So I am sure if you explain your situation, they would accommodate you. Try calling on the phone to explain the situation, I am sure they will understand. I hope this helps.

I recently applied for SOWP with my daughter via paper route as my husband is presently in Canada studying and our passports are presently with the Canadian embassy, few weeks after we applied My husband got ITA for express entry for Feb our score being 441, now we wanna start our application for PPR but my passport and that of my daughter is still at the embassy and we wanna go for our medicals. Now my question is 1.Can i present a photocopy of my passport at the Hospital for medicals? Is it acceptable? 2 Has anyone ever been in my shoes ? 3. Should i request for my passport from the Canadian embassy. Dont really know what to do. Appreciate your comments.
