I thought Bishop Kukah was an erudite scholar and a neutral fellow who mediates among all contestants and calls for fair-play.
Could he have descended into the gutter as well?
What a shame! cool cool

There is nothing shameful about his actions. With the current state of our country, we can't afford to be neutral anymore. Everybody must get involved.

Can You Write Something So Deep That It Would Make You Feel Something?

1. If you have a plan B, your plan A is less likely to work.

2. Even bad days have tomorrows.

3. The memory of happiness is perhaps also happiness.

4. Younger you probably wouldn’t listen to older you’s advice.

5. Some people are like ads, just skip them.

6. Dating is as much about choosing the person as being chosen.

7. Faking a smile is easier than explaining why you’re sad.

8. Cheating is a choice, not a mistake.

9. Sitting alone and enjoy your own company is better than being surrounded by fake people.

10. Your apology needs to be as loud as your disrespect was.

11. Loving does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction.

12. Healing is about accepting, not forgetting.

Career / Re: Is This A Norm In Nigeria Among Bosses And Masters?? by Folasadepitan(f): 10:56am On Aug 12, 2022

I think I it used to be then, when people learn for free, but such rarely happen now as most of them now pay thier boss alot of money to gain the experience.

How will you pay a boss to teach you, and he/she is using you to play.....

Additionally, it also depend on individual ability to put his or her mind in the little that the boss teaches...

My wife learnt tailoring for just 3month while waiting for NYSC and used YouTube to master the remaining, she's now a master in sewing....

That is quite sad. Nigerians just have this mentality of making things hard for people below them.

My mother learnt tailoring years ago & till date, she still tells us stories of the unpleasant things her boss made her do.

Thank God for internet, most of these things can be learnt online.
Business / FREELANCING: DON'T Send Proposals This Week Without Reading This! by Folasadepitan(f): 10:21am On Aug 12, 2022
As a freelancer, you send out proposals and cold DMS, every day.

One thing you should know is that several freelancers are sending proposals and cold DMS to these same people!

How can you stand out? How can you rise above the competition? WHY SHOULD THEY CHOOSE YOU?

One of the very important things you should pay close attention to is your offer that is contained in your proposals or cold dm

So let's talk about that, shall we?

WHAT IS AN OFFER?
An offer is a value you are willing to give in exchange for money. Your offer is not your skill itself but how you present it.

This is what separates a HIGHLY PAID FREELANCER from others.

So how do you present your offer?
As a graphic designer, you can't just say 'I'm a graphic designer, please hire me'

Instead, you should say 'I'm a graphics designer that helps eCommerce brands in such a way that increases followers & sales"

This is something an average graphic designer can do but because you made it about THEM and not you, you will stand a higher chance than the first dude even if he is better than you.

Nobody cares about you my dear #hard truth

WHAT MAKES A GOOD OFFER:

It solves a problem!

This seems basic but it is way more than that.

What is your customer's core need? What do they really want? Just like Sabri Suby said in his book Sell LikeCrazy, "what keeps them awake in the night?" (Have started reading it or I should mind my business) if you need a copy, dm!

Also, apart from getting your service, what else will they need? You will also present that to them (Godfather Offer)

In a nutshell, a good offer is one that clearly states the prospect's problem and how you as a freelancer can solve that problem.

HOW TO CREATE A GOOD OFFER?
1) Niche down! You can't work for everybody. Take, for example, you have heart disease & you are dying (God forbid) & then you are presented with a general surgeon & a cardiologist, who will you choose? Cardiologists abi? Exactly!

You too niche down. Only you cannot be a copywriter, Web designer, graphic designer, etc... kilo de?

2) Pick an industry you resonate with
Let's say you decide to be a graphics designer, but you still can't be a graphics designer that designers for everybody. Pick one industry. Health, aviation, E-commerce, etc. (Refer back to my general surgeon & Cardiologists example)

Now, because I said niche down, you will now go super deep that you will have very few customers imagine being a Cardiologist that only treats BLACK WOMEN!

Niche down but don’t go too deep.... especially as a beginner.

CRITERIA FOR A GOOD OFFER
1) The person has a problem you can solve
2) you can solve it fast
3) the changes you will cause by solving that problem are crystal clear!

As much as I'd love to continue, I can't teach everything about OFFER here.

I hope you got value

Want to know more about offer, I have an OFFER for you

I have a FREE video that explains how you can earn $500 monthly as a freelancer.

If it's what you want, contact me on WhatsApp via +2347015112161

Career / Re: I Finally Re-signed And I'm Free From My Abusive Boss by Folasadepitan(f): 9:37am On Aug 11, 2022
Faithntruth:
my quest to learn fashion design drove my thoughts far as to how to raise the needed amount of money to pursue my dream, due to my family background I knew the only way I could achieve it is to look for a small job and save from there. few months ago I was linked by a friend to a man who needed a secretary in his establishment, having attended an interview I was given the job and placed on 20k monthly pay, little did I know that was the beginning of a new chapter of problem. at first I was very comfortable with the environment not knowing the man I work for is a devil.

my boss abuses me at will and does have time correct me when I make mistakes, I tried talking to him that it is my first time of working as a secretary and I am open for corrections.my first month pay was 14k instead of 20k with an excuse that I waste paper and data which of a truth I only use them in line with the job.
he suddenly started being friendly(giving me transport and buying snacks) which was surprising but knowing who I was dealing with I was also cautious until he opened up one day that he likes me and want a secret romance which I turned him down(he is older than my late father) and the real devil came alive. I was sometimes pay 13k monthly and had to endure series of harrasment that I sometimes wakeup to cry at night knowing what I had to go through at work. while my search for another job yielded no result I had to endure the torture. on Friday while I was typing a document he gave me the previous day,he came in and started shouting at me and stretch his hands and touched my breast,I stood up and pushed him to the ground and went straight home and later returned with my resignation letter. Terrible experience I will never forget in my life. THANK GOD

Thank God you are finally free. I had a similar experience too. My boss was a Lebanese.

I just had to leave.

Now I work from home. No stress.

They all laughed as I stood there with tears falling down my face.

As I walked out of his office, I was DEVASTATED!

That moment, I swore to never work for anyone again, even if it would mean more hunger for me.

You see, my boss was a Lebanese. And if you've worked with one before, you'll know how unpleasant it can be.

In fact, I was spending half of my salary on transportation alone.

That day, he insulted my parents in the presence of some other staff and they all laughed while I cried.

So I quit the job.

But what's next?

I had no job.

No money.

Nothing except pure grit and determination... I thought hard about it and came up with two options.

1) The soft life:

Look for another job and stand the risk of getting fired or insulted again.

2) Hard-core method:

What if I devote the next 30 days to mastering a high income skill that puts me in control of my life.

Instead of being paid 17k monthly, I could make at least 170k.

However, I knew it wasn't going to be easy. At least, until I started making money with this new skill, I will be super broke.

But after suffering under different bosses:

The insults

The embarrassment

The pressure

Only to end up with less than the minimum monthly wage...

The idea of financial freedom felt like a dream to me. A dream I'd do anything legal to realize.

So for the next 30 days, I picked Copywriting.

I studied like crazy.

Stayed up at night.

It wasn't here but I eventually mastered it.

But then, how what do I do with my skills?

How do I get clients that will pay me for my skills?

A friend of mine sent a video on How to Be a Highly Paid Freelancer to me.

That video changed my life forever.

Today, my lowest Copywriting fee is $80 per project.

Calculate that with 750x80, you'll have your answer.

I'll tell you how to do it do.

But wait. Remember this didn't come easy. I had to go through hell to be here.

To be a freelancer, you first need to learn a high income skill then you need to learn how to sell the skill.

If you already have a skill, congratulations, you've passed the first stage

If you don't have a skill, don't worry! With the right guidance, you can learn one within 3 - 4 weeks

If you read to this point, it means you are interested in being a Highly Paid Freelancer.

I'm ready to share that same video with you, for FREE

Only if you are ready to work to practice hard and consistently implement whatever you learn.

2-3 months from now, you'll thank yourself.

As a freelancer, I work for several people and get paid without leaving my house.

I could go on and on. But I'll stop here for now, I can't talk about everything here...

You will learn all you need to know in the video.

It will also help you if you are freelancer that is tired of $50 gigs and wants to scale up.

If you're comfortable with your current income or if you aren't ready to learn and practice like crazy, don't even bother.

This is something that changed my life. It can change yours too.

Investment / 7 Things You Should Budget For by Folasadepitan(f): 9:47am On Jul 13, 2022
Sometimes we work so hard that we forget to make provision for some important things in our lives.

So what are some of the things your budget should make an allowance for?

1) Enjoying yourself: all work & no play make Jack a dull boy. Problem no dey finish.

Once in a while, take yourself out & have fun.

2) Developing your capacity: you cannot remain in one position forever.

Like I always say, money is only attracted to value.

Invest in yourself, grow your capacity & watch income 10x (it's pure science, it's not magic)

3) Making your life easier: how can you make life easier for yourself?

It's by leveraging!

When you've grown to a certain extent, there are some things you shouldn't do yourself.

Delegate!

It will allow you to have time for more important things.

4) Providing for your future: You only live once yes, but don't you want to live long?

Invest in things like stocks & crypto for long term.

Don't leave your money in the bank please, inflation no bi anybody mate..lol.. but Invest.

Developing your capacity is another way of investing in your future.

5) Helping other people: there is joy & blessing that comes with helping others. Don't deprive yourself of it.

6) Solving your own problems: because they said 'help others', you will neglect your own problems & turn yourself into mother Teresa.

Strike a balance!

7) Emergencies: we don't pray for bad things but bad things happen all the same.

What if you fall sick?

What if you get involved in ancient?

What if you lose your job?

Don't shout God forbid!

Prepare for it.

I hope you find this helpful.

A Simple Hack To Boost Your Productivity.

30 minutes weekend is over again and Behold, it's MONDAY

Have you noticed how fast days go by?

It's almost like 24hrs has been reduced to 12hrs

Within a blink of an eye, it's morning!

Within another blink, it's night!

Before you know it....Boom the month is over

You were not able to achieve as much as you wanted that month so you carry the remaining tasks over to the next month.

Afterall we muuuueeeevvvveeee

So how can you boost your productivity?

What is that hack you can use to make sure you are able to do all that you planned for the day even if 24 hrs is now 12 hrs?

SET A DEFINITE TIME LIMIT ⏲️

Yeah, give yourself a definite time limit and be realistic about it.

Instead of saying "I must finish this task today or I won't leave here till I'm done"

Just say "I must complete this task within 30 minutes"

Again, be realistic.

Don't set a time limit that is too short, you will get discouraged.

Don't set a time limit that is too long either, you will get lazy.

Be moderate

I hope you find this helpful.
