When did we have record of religious disharmony?

Iwo has churches and mosques almost side by side without noise againsg each other. That is tolerance

There was no fight. The only noise in Osun was orchestrated by Politicians to destabilize Aregbe government.

In the school I went to in Ondo state, I studied both Islamic religion studies and Christian religion studies. Friday is dedicated for Muslim where we praise Allah while Monday to Thursday is for Christian worshipping. That is how it is till today.

It is only in Southwest you can find a Muslim celebrating Sallah with Christian friend and family. Here we dont care about the skydaddy you worship.

PoliticsAPC Accuses Fayose Of Funding Biafra Secession by FOLYKAZE(op): 7:49am On Sep 22, 2017
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has accused Governor Ayodele Fayose of allegedly funding the leader of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, and his organisation (IPOB), to distabilise Nigeria for the actualisation of the Republic of Biafra.

The party said the governor's counsel in his press release at the weekend urging dialogue in the resolution of the Biafran crisis is an afterthought after the Nigerian Army swung into action to perform their constitutional role of preserving the unity of Nigeria and bringing all secessionists and their backers to justice.

Fayose had at the weekend urged the Federal Government to embrace dialogue in the resolution of the Biafran agitation after the Nigerian Military had declared IPOB a terrorist organisation.

In a statement by Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, the party dismissed Fayose's counsel as afterthought, stressing that the governor's actions and utterances had shown that he was "solidly behind any activity that will bring Nigeria down".

He said: "On April 26 and as published by The Nigerian Tribune Newspaper and its Tribuneonline publication on April 27, 2017, Fayose said he was working in conjunction with Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, to raise funds for Kanu, stressing that he was taking his support for Kanu beyond showing solidarity in court by raising funds that would be deposited in an account opened in Kanu’s name."

Quoting Fayose as saying that "as many lawyers willing to fight the oppression should join the struggle for liberation from the oppression", Olatunbosun said Fayose was not new to seditious and treasonable activities to bring Nigeria down.

He explained: "He led a campaign to the Chinese Embassy in Abuja and later to Shanghai, the Chinese capital, to urge the Chinese government not to lend hands in helping Nigeria out of recession.

"Relentlessly, he led hate campaigns against the symbol of the Nigerian authority, President Muhammadu Buhari, wishing him dead, including hounding and haunting the President across the world, including on his sick bed, and threatening to expose the President on a life-support machine, all these in spite of swearing to uphold the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to be loyal to the Nigerian state and her President.

"He went further as reported in the media on May 25, 2017 that 'Ekiti State is now part of Biafra', which drew the ire of several Yoruba groups as reported in the media.

"Not done, while Nigerians and indeed the country's leaders were celebrating Nigeria's exit from recession, Fayose was the only governor across the country who dismissed the celebration as a ruse, maintaining that Nigeria was still in a deep economic mess even though in his state, he is the biggest stumbling block to the survival of Ekiti people by diverting all loans he took to pay workers salary to needless projects contracts awarded to his friends' companies in which he allegedly has interest."

Olatunbosun added that Fayose demonstrated the seriousness of his support for the collapse of Nigeria when he released his telephone number 070300000393 and email:mystory2006@yahoo.com as reported in the media on April 27, 2017, urging all that were interested in the Biafra cause to contact him through the phone number and email address.

He also quoted Fayose as saying: “We are just driving the cause. As soon as we receive his account details, we will be made available.

"People have the right to agitate for independence. Even in traditional institution, people agitate for autonomy.

“As many as lawyers willing to fight the oppression should join the struggle for liberation from the oppression.”

Olatunbosun pointed out that while all the governors in the South East, including notable leaders, such as Ohanaeze leaders, Senate Deputy President Ekeremadu, among others, were condemning Kanu for his distabiliation activities, it was Fayose alone that was giving him moral and financial support.

"All the South East governors, including the Deputy Senate President Ike Ikeremadu, have opposed Kanu in his secessionist activities while Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has warned Kanu and IPOB to stay away from Rivers but Fayose declared Ekiti State as part of Biafra and that has confirmed the report that he is part of Biafra's financiers as he had publicly declared to the media.

"No wonder, just four months after Fayose started mobilising funds for Biafra, thousands of deadly weapons, including military assault rifles, were smuggled into the country but were intercepted by the Nigerian Customs while it was also discovered that uniformed Biafran militants already have military training camps where they are planning deadly assaults against Nigeria after threatening her leaders.

"We had earlier alerted the security agencies to the presence of armed gangs and stockpiling of arms in the Ekiti State Government House and his present activities in raising funds for Kanu only confirm that he is part of rebellion against the Nigerian state.

"We have always insisted that Fayose is a threat to the Nigeria's unity and the economic survival of her people," he explained.

Urging the security agencies and Interpol to investigate Fayose in his support for funding IPOB with "the latest influx of military assault rifles into the country", Olatunbosun said:

"His support for Kanu in funds mobilisation for his treasonable act and the activities of Fayose's media men in promoting the Biafran cause only point to one agenda to distabilise Nigeria and that has proved us right that Fayose has no agenda than the destabilisation of Nigeria to enable him escape all illegal and criminal activities linked to him in recent past."

wordproof:
This is far from the truth. Rather, it was a group of suspected IPOB militants that blocked the road against troops of 145 Battalion while on show of force along FMC-Word Bank Road in Umuahia town, Abia State at about 6.00-6.30pm, today. They insisted that the military vehicles would not pass and started pelting the soldiers with stones and broken bottles to the point of injuring an innocent female passerby and a soldier, Corporal Kolawole Mathew.

I agree with the army, they did not attack him, it was only a show of force around his house.

In all the whole part of Umuahia, Kanu's street is the only place to demonstrate your "show of force"?

As for the SW that's allowing themselves to be used as promoters of this madness, when the time comes you will receive fire from both angles, because Fulani cannot different BTW Yoruba and Igbo...the Igbo's can differentiate but who cares?
Stop forcing Yoruba into your problem. Nnamdi Kanu's house is in Nigeria and the NA has every right to patrol every corner in the region they are assigned to.

From the video posted yesterday, there is nothing like bullet wound on the guy that pretended like a fallen corpse. The guy was just acting and fooling himself.

The video shows rather how the touts attacked the NA with sticks and bottles. One of the men was injured nd also an innocent person. You are silent on the innocent woman that was injured. It ia one of your people and a collateral for your being stupid.

Despite the fact that the Army were blocked and petted with stones according to the video, they kept their cool and didn't fire direct shot on the miscreants. The warning shot is all you got and next time, the bullet will be driven into your heart and head. The Army can roll their machine anywhere in Nigeria, and if Kanu is not ok with that, he should move out of where Army is. Any further blockage of the government road will result to body counts.

The world you call out to have seen that IPOD is violent. You don't block the Government Security Men from patrolling on the road built by the Government.

PoliticsRESTRUCTURING SUMMIT: Yoruba Mobilise Govs, Lawmakers by FOLYKAZE(op): 6:58pm On Sep 09, 2017
AHEAD of its planned Yoruba Summit on restructuring scheduled for Thursday, September 7, 2017, the South West says it intends to unify the zone irrespective of party affiliation.

https://www.vanguardngr.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/naira-restructuring.jpg

It, however, said that the north is not invited to its summit because it has not gotten invitation from the region in the past. Secretary of the Planning Committee of the Yoruba Summit, Mr Yinka Odumakin, who spoke to Sunday Vanguard, said the six state governors, National Assembly members, elders, opinion leaders and groups, irrespective of party affiliation are expected to be at the summit. Odumakin said invitation has been sent to all Yoruba-speaking areas in the country and other zones like the South East and South South as steps taken to mobilize people. When asked whether the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, will be in attendance, he said invitations have been extended to all in the South West. He said: “Massive Mobilisation has commenced in Yoruba-speaking areas of Nigeria with our governors, National Assembly members, opinion leaders, various groups, individuals and the rest of them. We have commenced this process to ensure we have an all-inclusive summit where all opinions will be represented and since we are talking about Yoruba affirming its joint position on the most popular issue in Nigeria today, which is restructuring of the polity, the Yoruba summit is across board.” On those the summit is reaching out to outside the South West, he said “aside from Yoruba within the South west, we have also extended invitation to Ohanaeze Ndigbo, we have also invited PANDEF to come and show solidarity with us at the summit.” Asked whether any invitation has been extended to the North, he said “we have not received any invitation from the north in the past.” Stating what it intends to achieve at the end of the summit, Odumakin said “the major goal of the Yoruba summit is to articulate our position, unify our thoughts on the restructuring debate so that henceforth, we will have a position of the Yoruba and all groups and individual shall speak from the same page. That is the goal of the summit. “Our expectation is to have a robust gathering where issues will be articulated, a position taken and from there, we will negotiate with other regions in the country”, he said.

What you call due process cannot work in the Nigerian national assembly. Other zones will vote it off. No Nigerian national assembly will vote to give Biafra independence and cause the disintegration of Nigeria. So anyone trying to make suggestion is just being mischevous.
You know no one will support because your struggle is more or less an insult on the people who are supposed to support. You guys curse and throw bale on every other tribes like you own them. If you want support, work for it.

Election to Assembly is to choose a person who is going to represent the people will and opinions. You guys in the East will rather vote for people who go to Abuja to party and enrich their pocket. The politicians have forgotten you guys...recall them and push for those who will drive your agenda. Vote for person and not political party or hatred.

The Lancaster house meeting was just were representatives of the people went to decide the body of laws guiding Nigeria after independence. I need to see a document signed by the Igbo nation or it representatives where Igbos fomally gave up their sovereignty for Nigeria.

The Lancaster house meeting is no different to any partnership where a memorandum of association is drawn up. Any partner can still pull out at any time.
There is no nation called Igbo. It is just a group of people conquered by the Britain and handled over to Nigeria which your representative in person of Akizwe consented. And mind you, Azikwe was the one who pushed against secession clause when Awolowo pushed for it. The decision he took then wasn't his but the people he represented.

At the moment, there is no secession clause. No sitting president will give you the voice to call for secession, he/she will rather give you war. Maybe wae is what you all want, quickly push for it rather than making noise over all the place. The end is bleak as war or violence will not give you Igbo Nation.

The best bet is due process. Force your representatives in the Assembly to do their job; the call for their people bidding. Restructure is the best bet which can give you guys referendum. The party now is entertainment. Everyone will have fun and return home.

Well at least you know that before anyone can be a wife, there must have been a marriage first. Britain is a marriage becausethe Kingdoms of Scotland, Wales and England signed the 1707 "Act Of Union" that produced the United Kingdom. So at least they agreed to be together, so they can talk about due process.

At no time did the Igbo nation agree to be part of Nigeria. Like others, we were all roped into this British colonial contraption called Nigeria.

Now the Igbo nation is making it clear that this illegal country created in 1914 can no longer stand and we demand a referendum to determine our continued participation in Nigeria, or not.

Yes indeed, we are people kidnapped.
You guys twist fact just to suit yourselves. However, the lies don't work, due process does.

All regions were represented in the Lancaster House Conference in 1957. Igbo were represented by Azikwe while others regions had their delegate fronting for them. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancaster_House_Conferences_(Nigeria).

The journey to independence in 1960 was a collective contribution of every region including Igbos. The marriage was consented to by all parties involved. Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and the minorites in the house of the parents (Britain)
