It's been over 36 hours and counting.
We are still waiting for the 2 training grounds and more that were destroyed. Or is it by your word of mouth we will believe?
No serious country would allow the press to take images of military sites whether they have been damaged or not. We can only rely on satellite images and FPV tapes which may or may never be released so yes, we have to go by the words of Russia or Ukraine. The only pictures you will get are those of damaged civilian buildings. That's war for you.

"In the final days of the war with Israel, we used a missile that, upon impact, broke into 80 small bombs and destroyed the entire surrounding area. Perhaps one reason Israel declared a ceasefire so early was that.

In the recent war with Israel, we used only 30% of our capabilities and had prepared ourselves for at least two months of fighting. They should realize that if another war breaks out, we will redefine our red lines, and consequences will follow that I do not consider appropriate to reveal at this time."

Former senior Iranian commander in an interview with IRIB Channel 6

The chest beating continues. The war should have lasted 30 days at least

If in the coming round 2 USreal destroys the recently delivered S400s and HQ-9s, how many more will Russia/China send after hostilities end?

The morons are acting like these munitions are in infinite supply.
Russia has to build for themselves, Belarus, India, Algeria. You know, their priority customers that have no payment issues.

They should get a nuke or Iran will be the incinerator for Axis weaponry.
Weaponry better saved up for the confrontation with NATO in both the Eastern and Western fronts.
That rubbish they're planning for recurrent warfare and ceasefires is completely stupid.
When the choice is between a nuke and the billions in war (both for the cost of munitions and damage) every other year or so, what choice will a sensible person make?
We're not even talking about the loss of lives.

It would not take them years to finalize the process to make a bomb.
That is shalaye for NPC consumption.
Iran can make a bomb within weeks.

They should have started after the ceasefire held in one of their several facilities that was not attacked and by now they'd have at least 3 with one ready for immediate test.
That's assuming they've never made preparations for a rapid assembly, with or without Khamenei's knowledge, before the 12D war.

The only way this gambit does not blow up in the mullahs' faces is if for whatever reason USreal do not attack within the next 2-3 years.
That'll give them plenty of time to properly beef up defenses and conventional deterrence.
But we all know a round 2 is imminent, so it's either a nuke or a miracle.

-Lord
That's good news.

I doubt they will deploy the new systems without getting the right ADs to take care of stand-off munitions and stealth drones though. They will stay hidden like their F4s unless Israeli jets comes within proper range.

Round 2 will definitely happen before Trump leaves office. Israel is fast running out of favor with the American populace and any leader seeking a second term will have to watch how much support he renders to them. A lot of democrats refused to vote in the last election and now even Magas are feeling betrayed.

I'm not a fan of Churchill but his famous quote applies perfectly to Iran. They had to choose between war and dishonor. They chose dishonor, and they'll still get war grin

Iran had all the opportunity to create a bomb by using the 12day unprovoked war as an excuse. But I know the regime is playing some games that is not known to the public. It will be foolhardy of them not to get a bomb which they know. They tested an ICBM 10 days ago everyone knows what that means. I believe they will test the bomb and it will come as a rude shock to everyone.

They can't come out to tell everyone they have one. They won't abandon the NPT so as not to raise a suspicion all they have been doing is to avoid the snapback of EU sanctions and EU has proved yet again that they are just US puppets by reintroducing sanctions.
You're right. Pezeshkian's meekness is logical for a country working round the clock for a surprise missile test, but we have to keep the Iran factor in mind. I can't say I share your optimism about them

Unlike prior to the 12D war. Everyone accepts the Israeli attack is imminent.
It is unclear if they will conduct a pre-emptive strike.

Those are the details I have set out. Tell me how many enemy military infrastructure was decimated. It would wise if you did some thinking before posting
It's not that I didn't do any thinking. The problem is that you don't know that details do not instantly emerge after an event. It's your type that complain when they hear death tolls rising because you don't understand how coverage works.

Vitali has so far said over 20 locations have been attacked. Of course, he only mentioned the civilian structures.

So far, four civilians have been confirmed dead — that's quite low for a country that is said to be intentionally targeting civilians. 500 drones, with interceptions taken into account, would fetch nothing less than 300 civilian casualties

The US Secretary of State is now demanding direct talks with Iran after the reimposition of sactions.
The European troika that activated the snapback are also demanding Iran does not retaliate by escalating.

The nerve of the 🤡🤡🤡

They can make these demands because the mullahs are oafs.
A serious country will test a bomb within weeks and wait out the 20 years until the West crawls back with a recognition that Iran is a de-facto nuclear power.
At which time, the West will be even less powerful than it is now.

-Lord
I hope it is not too late for them. It could still take them months or years to finalize the process and create a bomb. It's crazy to think they really did not take any concrete steps to at least secretly assemble the means to generate one in days should the need arise despite all that USA was doing in the Middle East

Me thinks fighting and getting ceasefires will become their new reality for several years to come. They had another opportunity to create deterrence by prolonging the 12D war no matter the cost, using Gaza genocide as their excuse. Their advantage was growing daily and it would have made further attacks unthinkable for Israel but na, they chose the easier and more foolish option. Iran matter don dey tire me.

Another large attack. Over 600 drones, around 60 missiles.
Zero miliary casualties.
Less than 10 people killed (All civilians)
Kyiv still standing.
Zelensky still alive.
Over 1 billion dollars burnt in a night, zero miliary objectives achieved.
Somebody is hurting badly inside the Kremlin. 🤡🤡🤡

Meanwhile, another refinery is alight. Almost four years of war, Ukraine's energy infrastructure is not yet destroyed while cheap Russian gas is buying fuel at high prices amid high shortage. At the same time, Europe is yet to freeze to death.
Israel has gotten you so addicted to killing that you think it's the only relevant thing in warfare. Decimating enemy military infrastructure with drones is more logical than taking out personnel that move in small formations. There are more effective ways to take care of ground troops

⚡Russian forces launched 500–650 drones, 55 Tu-95 missiles, 8 Kalibr missiles, 2 Kinzhal hypersonics, and several Kh-59s across Ukraine.

The heaviest strikes were reported in Kyiv and surrounding areas, with major impacts also recorded near Zaporozhye, Vinnitsa, and Chernigov.

Map shows approximate UAV & missile flight paths (Sept 27–28). One of the largest single-night assaults since the war began.
Russian drone production capacity is scary. Most of them are suicide drones and yet they unleash hundreds of them per night as if they're AK47 rounds.

Is this so?
I usually go out of my way to differentiate between Russia, china, Iran and north Korea in my posts here. It's like i said earlier. That classification system of reducing the complex relationship of the world to just two sides is flawed. What happened to the Sunni (Saudi Arabia) and Shia(Iran) rivalry. Did it just disappear?
All those left wing western palestinian supporters, are they pro russia now? undecided
Going by this explanation, you may even be implying that people like me is pro Russian because I do not agree with many western policies.
This same logic can also be applied to righteousness. He calls the west evil and says that it's going to be destroyed because of their "immorality", but later praise Trump and say that he's doing the "Lord's work". Does this make him pro russia? undecided

we see the same happening to christians. They call the west evil and then support trump and other right wing westerners. Does this make them pro Russia?

You say that Muslim are angry at Saudi Arabia for going "astray", what about christians being angry at the west for turning into what they call "Sodom and Gomorrah" and then later back Trump, does this make them pro russia?

This black and white world view you guys posses is essentially talking a diverse world, with many sides and opinions, and just reducing it to just pro west and pro russia. You say something bad about the west and it suddenly makes you pro russia. You say something bad about the "anti west camp" and then it suddenly makes you pro west.

Maybe it's about time that you guys give a clear and concise definition of what it means to be pro west and pro russian aside just saying "if you don't like some western attributes means you are pro russia. And if you don't like some attributes of Russia, China, Iran and north korea means you are pro west.
I don't have time for all these stories. Okay, we will do it your way. The question is about which side Nigerians prefer between USA and Russia on geopolitical matters. I hope that is clear enough.

Also, Facebook app has translation features. Go to the site, search 'BBC Hausa Putin' or 'BBC Hausa Russia's' then choose like 10 different topics and open the comments. Do that, then try doing the same with any US/Trump related topic and get back to us. Simple.

Nigerians are not pro Russia. grin

Even in Muslim North of all places. The problem here is that you are reducing the world to just pro Russia and pro west. And you're also ignoring the fact that there's no solid "pro west". "The west" exist on a scale with both ends of the scale representing far right and far left. Even I myself who calls myself "pro west" is not 100% "pro west" and only support them where interests and ideology align. The north support Muslim cause via sunni led Saudi Arabia and co (who are western aligned) and the Christian south support far right western Christianity and oppose the western left.

Contrary to your claims, I've never seen any "Pro west" or "pro russia" Nigerian in real life tongue. It's just a fringe online thing.

And you seem to have missed the point entirely. I'm simply saying that we (Nigerians) have more in common with the west (Muslims via western aligned Saudi Arabia and Christians via the right wing west) than with Russia, China, Iran etc. even Muslims mostly travel to western countries as against Russia and China.
Gosh

We all know that per our tradition on this thread, Pro-West refers to those who support NATO (and their allies) and Pro-Russia is a blanket word for those that support the Eastern axis and their allies . If we're to go any deeper into the meanings of both names, then even I could be said to be pro West because I'd pick democracy over the systems in Iran, North Korea, Yemen, etc even though I agree with their foreign policies. It is in this context that I'm saying Nigerians are mostly Pro-Russia.

Claiming that Northerners prefer the West over Russia because Saudi Arabia is more aligned with the West is wrongful assumption, my friend because the issue is one of the things that make me sad for Africa. It is very common to see Muslims whining about Arab alliance with Westerners, often saying "Allah wadaran naka ya lalace" meaning "may Allah forbid your own from growing astray" as though Arabs are really their brothers grin

But don't take my words for it. I have an assignment for you. Go to BBC Hausa on Twitter or Facebook and find any topic that has to do with USA, then read the comments. After that, do the same for Russia and notice the difference. Northerners are very much pro Russia, and I think the main reason is that they hold a grudge against USA for all that they have been doing in the Middle East so it's a case of 'the enemy of my enemy is a friend' and not Russiophilia

Modified.

Actually, Northerners have even been mocked on NL Front page for complaining about recent Saudi reforms and their relations with USA.

Last i remember, you're anti Nigerian government and pro military regime.

Do you want to get on the bad books of FG and millions of Nigerians?

Pro Russia propaganda already struggles on FP and you think that going mainstream will suddenly improve your propaganda? grin

You seem to be out of touch with Nigerian internal dynamics such as religious bigotry, tribalism, mass illiteracy and the great political divide between APC and other parties. And you think pro Russia will thrive and even overshadow these other issues. cheesy
Pro Russian content doesnt have to overshadow our internal issues to thrive and I believe majority of Nigerians are more Pro Russian than pro-West because even on Nairaland here, one cannot conclude with confidence that people prefer USA to Russia. Most Nairaland comments and WriterN's little polls on every thread confirms that. Add in the fact that as a northerner, I have never seen a Hausa Muslim that prefers USA to Russia. I'm not saying they don't exist, but I have never met one before.

The only challenge would be the FG. They would never allow a channel like that to exist even if 90% of Nigerians want it. It's not even possible unless he's going to do it subtly like our Radio Stations in the North.

Alternate financial systems will definitely emerge.

The West used to do a good job of pretending to be for fairness, global economic growth and independence. Every economic sanction and military intervention were justified with human rights protection narrative and with their dominance of the media, most countries rationalized their criminality. It is only now that the world seeing what they really stand for.
