usmanpogo: " Yes, in the past, the Roman Catholic Church, particularly during the period of the Inquisition, did execute individuals deemed apostates, heretics, or those accused of witchcraft, although the extent and nature of these actions are complex and subject to historical debate.
"
Like Okpa said earlier, Christianity has undergone a lot of reforms.
These reforms are going to be very difficult in Islam due to fanaticism. Exactly. I don't see how any reform can take place without some people losing their heads especially in the north here where you see some people condemning Saudi Arabia on BBC Hausa for deviating from Islam. |

OkpaNsukkaisBae: The Bible also does not support protest against the government. Holding your leaders accountable is against Christian ideology according to the book of Romans. That's to tell you that religion is a man-made institution to control the masses. Absolutely |

shoodboi2: Before seconding such, why don't you condemn the so-called "Christian" nations destroying the so-called "Muslim" ones?
You cut down an old tree outside your house for no reason and then you're complaining of having lizards in your house?
Why didn't you leave the lizards to live in their tree in peace? Arabs and middle easterners do not want to be the Sweden either. This is a fair opinion. These white gangsters have bombed more innocent people than all Muslim terrorists combined, so they deserve all the extremists they get. Sweden pretended to be against the Iraq war but they ended up assisting USA in their terror campaign |

usmanpogo: Surah Al-Baqarah (2:256): "There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong." This verse emphasizes freedom of belief and rejects forced conversion, advocating for respect for different faiths.
The Prophet (SAW) spoke about the equality of all human beings, regardless of their race, color, language or traditional background. Clear elicitation of tolerance is expressed from the verse of Quran for the Muslims that is: “For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.” (Quran 109: 6) I think most of the problem comes from certain hadiths like those that call for the death of people for blasphemy, those that call for the killing of apostates, etc. If you ask me, killing someone for leaving Islam contradicts the surah that you just quoted. |

OkpaNsukkaisBae: I agree with you here. Just like those terrorist that murdered Deborah in Sokoto. Why not allow the the gods to fight for himself? No reasonable country will give such freedom to these believers. That's what I still don't understand about them. When you insult their religion, they ignore the existence of the hereafter and start spilling blood but when their government destroys their today and tomorrow, they remember judgment day and even tell themselves that protesting is Haram. |

drehdinho: To those who don’t understand the point in this news: the USA established a policy of which the sole purpose is to discourage importation of goods. The practical way to implement this policy is to increase tariff on the imported goods.
The consequence is it makes those goods expensive to people living in the USA. Hence the people would begin to prefer cheaper versions of those items. The cheaper items are the localized goods - made in and by the USA.
It’s a way to promote and encourage local manufacturers in the USA.
Nigeria does the same when we placed a 25% tariff on USA imported goods . The implication : USA imported goods prices go up and becomes unaffordable. Reason you see many foreign products in Nigeria these days are so expensive- from Turkey wear to foreign shoes and bags and electronics.
From time immemorial this is a policy efficient for economic strengthening and development. Some companies pay $1-20 per hour for labor outside America. I. USA, those same companies would have to pay American workers $50 per hour, so no, producing goods in America will not make them cheaper. |

These are the kinds of people they empower to say nonsense about us. Funny enough, White Pilots crash more planes than blacks even when you make comparison in proportion to their population. I read somewhere that 80% of pilots are whites but they're responsible for 99% of plane crashes. |

This is the 17th of its type to be destroyed by the Houthis since October 7, 2023, and the 3rd since U.S. President Donald Trump took office on January 20. USA has been sending this drone to Yemen for ages, but no one would call it aggression. Android17: I don't believe Trump is pro-war. That's the only thing I disagree with in this post by the way. I think Trump is realizing bluster and boasting won't solve some of the problems bedeviling America so he is needing to play some of the dirty politics to buy his administration some respite.
This is Miriam Adelson all over. That is why he is asking us to primary Thomas Massie (NEVER) but keep Lindsey F@ggot Graham who has backstabbing Trump at every chance. But he's Israel first so Miriam's $200m to his campaign is why Trump has to play fiddle.
Same with some of his terrible appointments. Same with allowing Satanyahu perpetuate himself in power by allowing him to hide behind the war.
The problem with dealing with evil people is, they're never satisfied. I've written this bombings down as Trump's biggest mistake in office currently. He will regret it. We can agree to disagree on Trump. I don't know much about the internal politics of USA and how they influence his decisions. But make no mistake about it, Trump will not stop at Yemen. He'll make ridiculous demands that Iran would reject and then use that as an excuse to attack them on behalf of Israel. I can see that happening |

Android17: - Tell us when they did this with evidence. - Tell us if they ever stopped after the ceasefire deal and which faction broke that ceasefire deal. He can never do that. It's a lot easier to just call them terrorists and wage war on them while still claiming to value world peace. Once you label someone a terrorist, everything you do and whoever you kill in the process of 'fighting' that terrorist is justified. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by FoolishBoy419: 11:41pm On Mar 29, 2025 |
bemeruca: Israel already destroyed their SAMS. Thanks to Israel, Iran's airspace is not secured. They don't have fighter jets to counter Israel's airforce.
You question shows you don't know how things work. Israel have sabotaged Iran's nuclear sites several times, they know where they are. It is underground but bombs can reach there.
Iran is bing does not mean they cannot destroy their nuclear sites. Remember how they killed Hamas chief in Iran, their spies are part of the program you may not know. Look how fast you've changed from claiming they can destroy Iran to saying they can destroy Iranian nuclear sites. Why do you guys always struggle to stick to one argument? The tale about destroying Iranian SAM's is nothing but Israel's claim. They have zero proof and we both know they would have provided evidence if they had it. Iran also claimed to have destroyed several F35 jets in their second attack on Israel— I'm sure you don't believe Iran , but you're quick to treat IDF lies as the gospel. And are you aware that some underground structures can withstand nuclear explosions, assuming Israel manages to locate and dodge Iranian multilayered AD protecting those locations Israel TRIED unsuccessfully to sabotage Iran's nuclear program. Take note of your word usage. Im willing to bet Iran already has atomic bombs currently unless the Ayotollah is as stupid as he is making himself look on this matter. Modified That picture you added came up after Iran had dealt a heavy blow to Israel, and USA was trying to avoid an escalation because they knew they'd certainly have to help them from serious destruction if push gets to shove. Mind you, Israel needed help from several countries, especially USA and Jordan to survive Iran's highly TELEGRAPHED attack. Hell, Israel needed American help to survive Hamas and Hezbollah rockets. I'm sorry to burst your bubble sir, but your darling is not as invincible as you think |

bemeruca: Nonsense. Houthis have fired at least 175 missiles and drone at the Americans, they have sank some ships, killed sailors and kidnap some in a ship they hijacked.
Everything going on in the middle east has Iran in it. US does not need to attack Iran directly, it is the US holding them back from destroying Iran in the first place.
If you ask me I will say attacking Iran now and topple the idiots there is the right thing to do. The US is preventing Israel from destroying Iran? Can you explain to me in simple terms how Israel can achieve that, given the size of Iran, its military strength, and the distance between Iran and Israel. The other time, Basilico was telling us a very crazy story similar to this. I wonder what sort of psychological tricks Fox News is doing to shut down your thinking faculties, if you guys possess any. |

Android17: I knew he would do some bidding for Miriam Adelson but I didn't know he would completely set to flames most of the promises he made just prior to winning. I agree though, he deceived me. Trump is as pro-war as they come and with the Houthis, he could easily hide under the guise of fighting terrorism to do Israel's bidding. He also warned that Iran would be held responsible for any retaliatory strikes from Yemen, so taking on Iran on behalf of Israel is also very much on the table. I'm yet to see any proof that Iran or Yemen poses a security threat to America (America first, right?) Even the game he is playing in Europe is more about his ego than anything else. He wants to be remembered as the guy who ended the war in Ukraine. |

Android17: I've noticed most of you are just the same pseudo-intellects. You only turn on when the party being scrutinized is against your side of the divide.
- Supported terrorist rally =/= terrorism - Wrote an op-ed =/= terrorism
The stupid labels you argue with were created by your media: pro-palestine, pro-Israel and so on.
You're not antisemitic because you don't support genocide of women and children by Israel.
You're not pro-palestine for speaking up against atrocities caused by Israel in Gaza or the middle east.
Vet your stories as your guzzle it. Ask yourselves what-if questions as you peruse your news asking the right posers as you go.
Who is a terrorist? What is a terrorist? What judicial procedures should be followed prior to deportations?
The same evil you condone today will be used against you tomorrow.
I can go through all the Andrew Tate nonsense. Marco Rubio lies. Mike Waltz being a Deepstate hack that is clearly a mole in Trump's camp. You guys see this and play Ostrich. Always chasing shadows.
Trump was supposed to be pro-peace all through. Nobody voted for Satanyahu's wars. Nobody voted lawfaring or deporting people who don't kow-tow to Israel.
Trump is making gigantic mistakes that he will end up regretting big time. From his CDC nominations to pretending Pam Bondi cares for anything other than Israel and being on FOX news.
Scamala would have been significantly worse but Trump is shitting the bed.
BTW, Yemen had been bombing Israeli ships not USA ships. JD Vance basically outted it in that Signal fiasco story. The US is fighting a war on behalf of Israel in Yemen rather than mandate them to comply with the ceasefire terms.
You're justifying the indiscriminate killing of women, children, journalists, Healthcare worker's. Something that both Biden and Trump now have in common. Did you seriously expect Trump to be any different? Come on Unconditional support for Israel will always be part of American foreign policy even if they round up all Palestinians and gas them to an excusiating death. It's just that while Biden and his gang would pretend to disagree with the way Netanyahoo is conducting his ethnic cleansing (while arming them to the teeth and protecting them from the UN and ICC), Donald Trump doesn't bother with any yeye eye service. |
