IIRC, Evra already left before Van Gaal even came in and as such, united had no option than to act fast and fill in the LB depth as soon as possible. There's no way they would wait till late summer for Van gaal to do that. They told Van Gaal while he was still at worldcup and he gave them the go ahead. I doubt Van Gaal even gave them any serious thought in the convo that ensued, considering he had his Holland team to worry about!

BTW. The bible advised Christians to obey constituted authorities. Romans 13:1-7.

From Romans 13:1-7, an instance of how that applies is this: if government says a Church should not erect building in a country, a state, or a region without permit, then the church must abide by that. Like giving unto Caesar.... If the 'church' hasn't lost its power like of 'old', then government wouldn't be dictating to a 'church' how it should be run. Look through the old testament, it was the real men of God that told kings (even heathen kings)how things should be done. 'Men of God' of nowadays, they've lost that touch. Nigeria has been in problem for years, no solution from the 'church'. In the bible, solution always came from the Church. Even US, their breakthrough came from the Church.

When government start to control and make decree on the 'church'... it was the other way round in the bible.

Good you said was... Remember the match against boro, after manu was trailing, Fellaini was subbed out, it was only Pogba and Herrera in the midfield. You could see how he was dictating play from deep, remember his contribution towards the first goal?

PS: People talking of Pogba improving based on system bla bla bla are clearly wrong. He was just adjusting to the nature of EPL. Wasn't it in the same old setup he shone in his first EPL game?

Many disagreed, mourinho Neva likes defenders who plays out from the back or is comfortable on the ball, he prefers defenders who just clear everything in their path and thinks "safety first " which was why Luis was sold in the first place. Zouma really flourished because he is the typical clear-out defender, just like Jones now, they just clear everything in their path and that's why I am very skeptical about zoumas suitability to this formation which requires a ball playing defender.
