Super Eagles’ Onazi Ogenyi's success in football kicked off after he joined Prophet TB Joshua's Lagos-based football club called ‘My Team’. From there he joined the team that represented Nigeria in the 2009 U-17 FIFA World Cup and later, an Italian club S.S. Lazio.

He is pictured here praying at the popular Man of God's prayer mountain in Lagos. Onazi shared the pic with this caption:

Prayer is the key to all success. Prayer mountain SCOAN. Daddy thank you for the grace to be here to pray and put the coming season into God's hand. Better is not good enough the best is yet to come Amen. #TBJ

Politics / Re: Military Takes Over Anambra Prison - PUNCH by FOREXMARTS: 3:46pm On Jul 05, 2015
sunshine1974:
Following the relocation of Boko Haram detainees to the Ekwulobia Prisons in Anambra State, the military have taken over the security of the facility.

SUNDAY PUNCH investigations showed that security operations in the Federal Government facility are no longer the exclusive preserve of the officials of the Nigeria Prison Service.

The development, sources told our correspondent, is not unconnected with the calibre of the detainees being held behind the walls of the facility.

A visit by our correspondent to the prison on Saturday showed that armed military personnel were located in strategic locations around the prison.

The development has also brought some form of hardship to residents of the host communities of the prison.

Free human and vehicular movement is no longer allowed around the place. Our correspondent sighted soldiers compelling passers-by to raise up their arms and get frisked before they were allowed passage. Vehicles were also searched.

Residents of Anambra had last week taken to the streets protesting against the relocation of the detainees. But the Federal Government had reacted saying it was a mere rumour.

But happenings around the facility on Friday further learnt credence to the report that the Boko Haram detainees had been relocated to the quiet Anambra town.

“It is like a war situation. We no longer move freely; we don’t even talk freely because you don’t know who is who now. Armoured vehicles are everywhere” Stanley Ezechukwu, a primary school teacher in the area told our correspondent.

One of the soldiers who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “We are here to ensure that the prison is not attacked by the people who have demonstrated their resentment over the transfer of the detainees.”

Professor Chuwuemeka Ike, the traditional Ruler of Ndikerionwu, a neighboring community to Ekwulobia , condemned the transfer of the detainees to the area.

He acknowledged, however that prisons transfers are normal, but maintained that with the sensitive nature of the prisoners, the transfer of the Boko Haram detainee could have been avoided.

A press statement on Saturday by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Media, Mr James Eze, was not specific on whether the detainees had been relocated or not.

The statement titled; “The Transfer of Boko Haram Detainees to Ekwulobia Prisons:   the true position,” maintained that the governor had not made any official press statement on the issue as reported in some national dailies.

The statement read in parts, “We wish to inform the general public that Governor Obiano never made any comments to these publications. Since the eruption of this controversy, Governor Obiano’s position has been consistent. This was fully reflected in the two press Statements issued on Sunday, June 28, 2015 and Wednesday July 1, 2015. In both statements, his message was simple – he re-assured Ndi Anambra that he was on top of the situation and that he was speaking with the relevant authorities to achieve a peaceful resolution of the issue. Governor Obiano’s commitment to this extremely sensitive issue remains the same.”

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Uche Eze in his reaction said the police would not want to comment on the matter as “it is purely an affair of the Nigerian Prisons Service.”

The member representing the area in the House of Representatives, Mrs. Eucharia Azodo however urged the Federal Government to rescind the decision in view of its security implications on the people of her constituency.

In a statement in Awka on Saturday, Azodo said the Boko Haram detainees would be better taken care of in a maximum security prison, arguing that Ekwulobia Prison did not have the capacity to accommodate such high risk prisoners.

She said, “The rising tension following rumours that Boko Haram suspects were relocated from some Northern prisons to the South-East, precisely, Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government of Anambra State, gives me great concern.

“We all are aware of the fact that Ekwulobia Prison in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State is not a maximum security prison.

“Whereas a large number of prisoners, about 134 inmates, are there already in a prison built to accommodate 85 inmates, a total number of 47 Boko Haram prisoners were brought to Ekwulobia Prison in the dead of the night of Sunday, June 28, 2015 amidst tight security.”

The youth wing of the apex Igbo socio- cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has flayed the Federal Government over the relocation.

The National President of Ohanaeze Youth Council, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro who spoke with our correspondent in Umuahia, described the action as “ exportation of terrorism to the peaceful South-East region.”

michaelobinna:

Please this story isn't about me ,a female shared it and I decided to share here..

I have been married to my hubby for 8 years and we are blessed with 4 boys which I had vaginally. After my last boy, my marriage went from bad to worse, as in, getting my hubby’s attention over the years has been very difficult. To have sex with him is even on ‘appointment’ basis. The rate at which my marriage was going, I knew that if I didn’t do something about it, it would move from worse to worst.

I sought the advice of one of my very close friends and she told me what to do. As funny as this sounds, it was working very well and I don’t want what I am doing to end.

I got a new phone and sim card, then opened new accounts on all the social media, putting all my best body parts as the display/profile picture, especially on facebook, whatsapp and bbm. I then sent a friend request to my husband. The silly man did not waste any time in accepting my requests. At first, he played hard to get but I still relented. Because my identity is not revealed to him, I went back to being the way I used to be with him that made him fall in love with me. I flirted with him badly, and he keeps falling more and more.

NHW, you won’t believe I send pictures of my p&%**y to him every morning and if you see how excited he gets. Can you imagine, he does not recognize ‘it’! The relationship has been going on strong for 6 months. In that 6 months, if you know how much he has sent to me. He has been begging to see my face, but I know that if I try that…the relationship will be over.

Back as his wife, his attention to me has greatly waned but he has been very polite and somewhat ‘nice’. He now locks his phone, as if…

NHW, I would rather have my hubby as a boyfriend than a husband. What do you think?

Should I continue or should I stop?

Cunning man die cunning man bury am, let the scamming continue.

the production wasn't poor - the street feel was deliberate. it was recorded in the same studio nas did illmatic. DJ premier blessed both albums. actually, it's the street feel that made it the most influential rap album in that era. biggie became the king of NY on the back of the success of that album & nas was nowhere to be found.

RTD was a better album than illmatic.
illmatic was too short - it's the kinda album you just listen to & nod your head cos it's deep & highly intellectual.

RTD was just pure entertainment. it's a story book. the intro was about how biggie was born & the last track was how he committed suicide. it's a documentary of a drug dealer - alcoholism, sëx, drugs, robbery, etc. it had it all. biggie was more personal, nas used a 3rd person narrative in illmatic.

RTD>>>>>>>illmatic.

This debate has been on ever since both albums came out lol. I respect your opinion but disagree totally. Quoting you " cos it's deep & highly intellectual." That's what hip hop is about to me, deep and highly intellectual, get the listener to think. Don't forget hip hop sprung up from stand up poetry which were later accompanied by background music. Once again "Deep and intellectual". Just my opinion.

well to me its not weird man, you speak my language. I gat those guys too, but the only guys i dont have is Meshuggah and Neurosis. I'll check them out, thanks man.

Well you may survive meshuggah's Kolos album but Neurosis's Through silver in blood album? You have to be a real metal head like me, like Scott said "It's not meant to be enjoyed" lol so careful lol. We talking, stomach churning , bone crushing,. Abrasive rock music lol. Just a warning.
Finally the album is a journey from track 1 to the last so to go on this journey of abrasive sweet torture you gotta get the full neurosis album.
Music/Radio / Re: What Music Are You Listening To Right Now? by FOREXMARTS: 6:57am On Jun 13, 2015

i would have to disagree with this.
RTD was everything - it was my favourite album that era. juicy & gimme the loot are 1/10th of the story.

"warning" nko? "the what" featuring method man? then you have....

•everyday struggle
•one more chance
•respect
•unbelievable
•ready to die(title track)

biggie's story telling was unique. he wasn't a lyricist or a classic poet like nas but he had this street vibe about him that had nuccas on the block feel relevant. he spoke about the struggle of the common man. you need to redownload RTD. you are not a hip-hop fan if you don't have RTD. cheesy

i'm listening to "gimme the loot" now with biggie robbing pregnant women off their baby rings & mom pendants. cheesy

Lol I am an audiophile, also a professional sound engineer, asides the fact that Bigie was unnecessary violent and dirty The sound quality was damn below par. Legends handled Nas's illmatic album. Illmatic didn't make platinum, RTD did. Sales ain't a criteria in My kind of hiphop. I still got RTD in my laptop just not on my phone. Don't be biassed lol you know RTD's production was poor and unnecessarily long. Illmatic was short always leaving me saying let's do it again.

Biggie is among the legends true dat but I will always put Nas'illmatic before RTD. 1994 is revered as the golden era of hip hop and 4 classic albums of that year were Dr. Dre's The chronic, Nas's Illmatic, Biggie's RTD and Snoop's debut album(with "the shiznit" as my favourite). Just my preference lol. Of all these albums RTD had the poorest production.

never heard anything more homophöbic since their era. no tongue in cheek, buju banton would shoot to kill any faggöt that comes near him. grin

that album was far ahead of its time..... nas was too prophetic on that joint. one of my favourite hip hop album of all time.
lol read a review about it and how the whole album happened, "Nas created a classic album unintentionally by just spitting from the heart", I couldn't agree less. I have compared it side by side with Big's ready to die and still prefer illmatic, even deleted big's RTD from my phone. Except for "gimmie the loot" and "juicy".
