Thank you Oga forgiveness for your candid opinion....oh you run academy or you be agent, though I have a brother also an agent based in UK.....would have given you a boy, very solid player, real age 17 year old,200 level university student,6.1 ft tall...this boy back in January 2024 three months to his 15 year birthday, played Kwara State under 18 youth league as a starter for his club that won the league, the said boy would have joined Beyond or Imperia but at 17 year old already 200 level university student.
Baba, tell the boy to go for trial now at Beyond Limit first because once he is over 17 year they will not accept him again. If he is very good, they know what to do.

Yes, I run an academy presently. I will advise he finishes his academy since he is already in 200 level. Except he is located in Lagos or Ogun state then he can be training.

ATTENTION my people, there is need for us to discuss what is going on with Nigeria football, listening to Segun Odegbami podcast with Charles Anazodo...when asked what's wrong with Nigeria football?he said the issue started in early 2000s and we're reaping it now and nothing anyone can do about it,cuz the system was designed in a way that it would be difficult for those that understand the administrative aspect of the game to win NFF elections, from his point of view,Gusau is going to be re elected unless...

Through that interview I discovered why we are failing in our youth systems...NFF now resulted to academy for scouting which is good but with what I discovered not the best .. Nigeria football academy is being running like private secondary school, for instance a ward pay nothing less than 5.6 million naira to enter Buruj football academy, meaning the rich kids are in our various football academies, the bests are still on the streets praying to God to be discovered cuz they didn't have the money.

Seyi Olofinjana said in his interview that it's high time football academies in Nigeria need regulations, football is all about talent not money, not getting the bests from the streets into academy is killing Nigeria grassroots football....I listened to one young Okorie who is presently in UK for summer camping, with his look and command of English I thought he was UK based until he said he came from Nigeria for the camping,I might be wrong but when one see footballer from Nigeria person go know sha....

Nigeria football academy started with serious talent hunting,a player doesn't need to have big money before making it,Seyi Olofinjana picked Taiwo Awoniyi from nowhere and paid all the expenses for the boy to excel, Victor Osimhen,Kelechi Iheanacho,Nwakali,Chuckwueze made it into academy not cuz they have money but pure talents but now one must get the millions to get registered, possibly player like Muiz Adeleke might not be the best we can parade.

Yes the academy need finances to sustain but a ward paying 5.6 million naira in a year, damn too much.
Chaiii! na true oo. I just went on there website to verify. shocked grin

I am aspiring to make our club the best in Nigeria. To be frank, it cost a lot to operate a standard football academy but because I also know you can't get the best if you demand money, I decided to make my trial free and also provide full 1 season scholarship for real talents that could move to the next level.

The scholarship is tied to each players performance but evaluted every football season. If a player drops in form, the player will lose his/her scholarship an subscript for trainning. That fee is also cheap and very flexible because I don't want to scare away good players. This is my own way of motivating players to give their best because I really don't want them to relent and become nonchalant.

However, I came to the realization that some rich kids are very very very good. You could see the raw talent, if polished could become real talent or later become world class player.

My thought is that, football academy in Nigeria has been monetised but not all academy. For example Beyond limit fa don't collect 1 naira if you are good. They give full scholarship to real talents and allow normal players to train and play matches with them.

Infact, the club provides free transportation to pick players in Sagamu, Ikenne, Iperu and environment.

My recommendation is, if you know of any real talent that doesn't have money to enroll in an academy, please, direct them to Beyond limit academy. If you want, I can connect the player to ta coach but make a video of that player and send it because they will evaluate and give appointment for trial.

Recommend better talent for me too ooo, sir. grin

He should have simply done one thing alone. Instruct them to calm the game down and patiently work the ball from side to side, close to or into their box focused on drawing fouls again and again since the Cameroonians were sitting deep and playing physical.

We rushed our chances. We kept rushing. The coach was seeing this and should have signalled for calm and a slightly more patient approach in order to change the tide.

That is all. My own personal view. But in all, I am not labelling him useless or bad. Just go to the Super Falcons thread and see for yourself. grin

Do you mean Madugu should teach Monday, Kanu and Okonkwo how to calm down to score goals?

Because despite the Camerounians sat deep, chances were still created but they squandered them.

This is not coaching problem but players problem because Madugu still had solutions to breakdown the defensive setup of the Camerounian.

Na Madugu tell that goalkeeper to be nonchalant?

Na Dat U20 coach be the clueless one. He got no solution to that Burkinas tactics.

Na em una suppose blame pass.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by forgiveness: 10:13pm On Aug 10
I just watched the match between Nigeria and Cameroun but I didn't see wy people are blaming the coach. Na coach tell that goalkeeper to stand flat footed before the ball was kicked? The girl lost concentration and was caught flat footed. Gosh! And some of you have the temerity to blame coach?

Na Coach tell Monday to dey miss chance? Abi na coach tell Kanu not to be clinical in front of goal? Na coach tell Okoronkwo not to give simple pass instead of playing hero?

Abi, do you have players better than this aforementioned players? The game plan was good but the Strikers messed up. They squandered more than 4 goals.

Coach wey get Ballon'dOr nomination, na em you say no good?

Okay. recommend a better coach instead of making noise here. Abi, you don't just like him because he is from the North? Tribalism don wound some people here sha.

Maybe, we should channel the blame on NFF who didn't prepare for the tournament.

Moreover, the U20 team were tactically suppressed by the Burkinas. When I watched that team, I was just impressed with the boy on the left midfield.

Muiz and that lanky Ade no impress me at all because they don't know how to position, create space themselves and hold on play to bring players into the game. Though that Muiz is good when he runs with the ball and also at scoring goals but he needs to improve. Not impressed at all.

I hope they improve themselves.

However, when it comes to U20, to compete at the highest level like their counterpart, our players needs to play in a good professional league. Don't be fooled if you are expecting them to do well with our poor league.

I wish you could take this to the Women's football thread. The people this is meant for are gathered there, trust me.

I also feel Madugu should have done more as what he went with was not working. A little switch in tactics. But I am not even cutting him open like others are doing on that thread. I wish you could visit and drop this exact post there. I wanna check something grin
But we saw them missed chances time after time.

Or should Madugu bench the goalkeeper? When we know she is currently the best.

What exactly should he have done better?

So, nothing can happen within 1 minutes in football, abi? You were actually born yesterday because you don't even know that many games were won with 1 minutes left.

Oga! That goal came from nowhere. We were completely dominated, under emence pressure and trailing 2:1. Just 1 goal was enough to kick Chelsea out and we all knew it.

Oraro Lucky and Odinaka are good players.

The essence of Under age team is to expose and market your best players to the world.

Winning or going to world cup are crucial but if at the end doesn't produce "real talents", it is pure waste of time and money.

The road construction is very necessary. It is just that attention should be given to existing roads that are currently under bad states.

Especially roads leading to Abuja from Lagos. Although, some sections are underconstruction but Umahi needs to expedite rate of work on other sections neglected.
