I just watched one of the goal again...Bruno failed to mark the scorer, fact he gave him the space to shoot and nothing Maduka can do about it...well on Ajayi, already asked him why he was so harsh on Ajayi?Bassey was even caught out of positions than Ajayi in that game,so me i no understand him point on Ajayi...the team did well with the absence of Osimhen,Lookman,Aina and Osayi
If not agenda, I don't see why criticizing Ajayi against Portugal. Both goals had nothing to do with him.

Portugal dominated us I no go lie but I know we could had done better with the aforementioned players and If I include Nwabali because Dat one go shout for any misbehaving players at the defence. Those are fighters.

Osimhen, Lookman, Nwabali, Aina, Ndidi and Akor are players with winning mentality. They can't be easily intimidating. We need to inject players with such mentality into the team to enable us compete at the highest level.

Go re-watch the game again, watch Ajayi's poor positioning in several of the chances Portugal got including the one where he froze in a daze as a ball that was crossed in his path somehow evaded him and found CR7 on a sitter (thank God the GOAT isn't the same anymore cause that was horrible defending by Ajayi).
You don't know football. Besides, that ball didn't evade him, rather it frozen Bassey and the LB. Watch ball deviod of bias.

The same Ajayi intercepted a ball through pass to CR7. Didn't you see that? Na only one inconsequential one you dey see.

I don't know why this is so hard for these people to grasp, the absence of one or two top level players significantly affects the dynamics of a game...if we had Felix Agu, Aina, Nwabali, Osimhen, Lookman, Benjamin, Nwaiwu and even Femi Azeez...our odds of converting those chances Akor, Chukwueze and Moffi missed would have been higher. The presence of these aforementioned players would have made that game more cagey and competitive...the fact that we didn't field our best backline (Akpan was too green, Zaidu is not good enough to be our starting LB, Ajayi was rusty and is behind Benjamin and Fernandez in the order now) yet limited a world class Portuguese attack to shots outside of our box actually shows we did better than expected.
Which Ajayi was rusty against Portugal? Most of you watch faball through bias or sentiment which is clouding your judgment.

Dude played well against Portugal. His interception, clearance etc were obvious for all eyes to see.

Benjamin and Fernandez does not possess the experience Ajayi possess currently. Do you think they will fare well in a competitive tournament like AFCON? Time will tell.

Besides, the 2 goals we conceded has nothing to do with Ajayi. All had to do with the RB and LB. So make you na stop this joke of giving a dog bad name to hang it. Na lie.

With a full Nigerian squad (taking out washed players like Simon, Zaidu and Ajayi etc) the odds of us losing to them are significantly slimmer so a draw would be high on the stakes, so yes I will stake my bet on a slim perhaps lucky Nigerian win in a competitive game. Note that only two teams in Africa can manage to beat this Portugal team right now...Morocco and maybe Ivory Coast (I don't trust Senegal).
Ajayi washed? Which match you watch yesterday?

Very true. All though it's to our advantage I don't think we can handle an aggressive press yet.

Our semifinal against Morocco comes to mind .

Although they did not sustain the press but when they did press we were under a lot of pressure.
I agree. We tend to cave in when pressed. I think Chelle needs to work on that.

I'm surprised at the complaints, too. Ajayi was fouled at least, twice while moving the ball forward into their half. The CBs have been superb so far, with little errors.

On the flip side, I'm not comfortable with our high line, Portugal explored several counters to decimate our defense.
No mind dem. Na back of TV dem dey watch?

It is obvious the Portuguese studied our match because they are being cautious pressing us. They have quality though.

Ajayi is never confident with the ball on his feet

Fernandez would hv been better

The Akpan never reach to play for this level abeg. Mk em go back to Genk and continue working hard
Are you sure you are watching the match? Bassey and Ajayi are moving the ball from defence to attack. How can you drive ball forward and not be confident with the ball?

If we are not keeping the ball, I think Iwobi should be subbed, he is not a strong ball winner, great eye for a pass but not one to chase down balls.

Onuachu is not at fault. There was little he could do as he was also blocking a passing lane. He was not close to Misniewski and could never have closed him down as fast as you lots say. I speak from personal experience and as one whose brother still actively mans goal on the side.... Okoye should have done better.
Oga! Me am a football club founder. Judging from how we play, he messed up. We are not known for parking bus rather pressing from attack to gain possession.

Onuachu no do nada.

You cannot put that Polish goal on the outfield players. Look below... and see how far out that Polish defender was. Do you expect us to alter our team shape in that last min and go press him all the way that deep?

The players did their job covering up passing lanes...and setting up to cut off the next pass.... the polish defender decided to go for glory and let fly from close to the center circle. Luckily and due to Okoye's poor sense of positioning and anticipation, it worked.
Nwabali made routine saves out of similar strikes due to positioning but it was taken for granted.

There was nothing much the outfield players could do about Wisniewski's strike but there was everything Okoye could have done. Poor anticipation and positioning let him down.
You could see Onuachu standing like iroko tree throughout the passes that finally came to that defender. De boy brought nothing to the attack and was insignificant save th3 penalty.

Still in the top 3 moments... but that Poland belter is surely number 1. Lol

Okoye made fine stops today but his positioning and anticipation for that polish 2nd goal (#1 moment of the friendly) was simply below par. For a Serie A GK, he was meant to do better.

You cannot blame the defence for that strike. Anyone doing so does not know ball. Would the defence leave their positions, bypass their midfield and go press a player positioned deep in midfield close to the center circle? Answer is no.

'Cant blame the midfield either nor the forwards because every outfield player had a passing lane covered or was set up to mark the very next pass. A pass that never came because someone decided to hit a long ranger from way out in midfield which Okoye was highly expected to see all the way. It was a lapse and a reminder of why Nwabali will always remain in the #1 convo as long as he stays unretired.

But in all, Okoye had a decent game. The last min blip pain shaa.
Onuachu is to be blamed. You could see one Nigeria player jettisoned to him to press before that strike but he was ball watching.

If you don keep before, you go know say that was a banger.

We can easily say it's your love for him that blinds you to see he was not well positioned in the first place.

No come de form objective like say emotions no de your side baba
You are wrong. The trajectory of the ball rendered his position useless.

He initially followed the ball to his right before it changed trajectory to his left. That first step to his right was not lack of positioning but due to the way the ball changed it's course midair.

The yeye Marseille coach was leaving him out of match squads for the flimsiest of reasons.

Hope he continues working hard and stays humble. Lad has ability.
I think I read his excuses but somehow he can improve if he heads. The coach wants him to add more attack to his workmates. I think we are seeing it from this game.

This match looks somehow. The transition is slow and the Polish tend to block the wings.

I think they need to intensify their transition when attacking.

My suggestion is 5k per hour for 5 hour per day for civil servants.

Resume work by 9 am prompt (deduct salary for late comers). Work from then till 12 pm. Then go for break till 2pm. Resume at 2 pm and close at 4pm.

That is 25k per day. 125k per week and 500k per month.

The way out is wages per hour. This would enable people to have multiple jobs. How can one work from 8 am to 5 pm for 70k and survive? It is impossible.

That's 3,500 naira per day for 9 hrs per day. 17,500 naira for 5 days of 45 hours labour.

This is modern day slavery.
