See Alonso's last line of defense. They force you to play football majorly in your own half of hhe field. No wonder they don't concede too much. They also press immediately they lose the ball and recover quickly. Pure genius!

Na low level teams dem dey follow play dat one. Make dem jam Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona etc dem go realize they will be needing other options.

Look at Arsenal today. Guy, don't be shocked to see them in the EPL race for the next five seasons with some league titles to show for it too. They have a manager with a philosophy that dictates what kind of players they go for on the market.

Arsenal's resurgence today was foreseen by even your former coach, Mourinho when he faced them as Tottenham coach. If you like, dey form pride... Arsenal's decade of titles flow begins. I say it because I can smell when blueprints are close to yielding success.

Same thing happened with Liverpool when they got Klopp and used his philosophy to build the success they have seen in recent years.

We no dey wait for 10 years to win EPL infact, we wan win am next season. Abegggiii. Arsenal for where? Dat one na club? grin

Vinicius and Rodrygo were teens in their first season. Madrid didn't expect immediate impact but their spendings has paid off today because it was intentional and strategic.

Your spendings hasn't been well thought out. That is the truth. Yes, you are buying young players but that is all. You are just buying. No Real solid blueprint.

So, what is the difference? Just buying and they are playing every games except for injury?

What are you saying? Point to one player they bought recklessly?

So, you can't see the impact in Chelsea's game this season compared to last season? grin

Okay I hear.

I was coming to the Tood Boehly issue. He is also at the root of the issue on Chelsea's on-pitch woes/unstable showings. He is limiting and confusing the club with his reckless spendings. Providing transfer funds is fantastic because without money you can't go out there and get the best but when it is done without a strategic blueprint, you are just spending money "HOPING" it clicks.

But truly big clubs don't hope in all instances. They are intentional about their spendings and know exactly what they expect to reap from the talents they bring in.

It has worked for Real Madrid, Barca, Liverpool, Bayern and even Chelsea of previous years under Roman.

Todd needs to copy what Liverpool or Arsenal are doing for goodness sake. It is not even rocket science.

Abeggg!! We no dey copy Arsenal. Na 10 years without epl bi dat. No way.

I never said so. I said he is limited due to the tactical depth of his time. The creative players today play with more directness and intensity. Zidane did not have the opportunity. So I rate him for his magic and praise the guys today for their work.

Zidane is a direct player. He is not known for showmanship. I don't understand your point he will be limited. Bawo?

Forgiveness, buying young players is not a novel thing anymore. But buying specific young players with a specific blueprint in mind is different.

Trust me, I know. Chelsea currently doesn't buy young players strategically like Real Madrid or Liverpool do even with long term goals in mind.

You don't know anything. So, Nkunku, Enzo, Lavia, Chukwuemeka, Palmer, Petrovic etc are not specific young players with specific blueprints?

Oga, Chelsea are buying 2 young players for each positions and you say what?

Vinicius and Rodrigo were eyesores in their first season. Will you say Real Madrid didn't have a blue print?

Show me any player Chelsea bought above 23 years old save Nkunku?

That's enough to tell you they have long term goals.

I never argued with respect to your winning titles in the past. Just concerned about the bad run from last season till now. This is why I said between last season and the current season, Chelsea has been shitty. Not hating... just saying it as it is. Afterall, I rooted for Chelsea against Bayern in 2012 for obvious reasons. 😁

Get one thing clear. This is not a Chelsea-PSG talk. This is about the best bet for Osimhen. Arsenal is my own pick among the options if they can close this deal.

But on the PSG and Chelsea talks, truth is PSG is currently a better bet than the current Chelsea side. Ligue 1 title is sure for them unlike unstable Chelsea in the EPL. UCL is sure for them too unlike Chelsea who has missed it now for 2 seasons in a row despite their reckless heavy spendings in the transfer market.

Chelsea buy players without an actual strategic blueprint in mind on how best to turn all these talents into a team that can challenge for titles. This is at the root of their problem and the reason why they will keep changing coaches.

Teams enter the market with a plan on how to utilise certain talents in their squad and analyse what he truly brings bit Chelsea just spends and hijack deals these days. It is reckless. I don't want Osimhen in a reckless team.

In the end, I don't want PSG. I don't want Chelsea. But surely PSG edges as the better option to Chelsea for now. But then the decision rests with Osimhen.

I hope Arsenal can come into the picture strongly. They have a fantastic blueprint.

Menh!!!!! The bolded is contrast to the new owners strategy.

They definitely have a long time strategy hence the reason they buy players below 23 years for long time bonding but Chelsea fans are saying no way. We want laurels.

You don't have an idea at all. These current owners want long term project. They believe in data analyses...what!!!!!!

Wetin concern us with data?

Go and say this in a Chelsea thread and see how dey will laugh at you.

The same post you quoted was even clear and correcting you that I never compared last season and this season.

I only mentioned between last season's time period and now to make my point on how prolonged your present bad state has lingered.

2020/21 and 21/22 were not as bad as this.

I don hear but it doesn't change the fact that despite Chelsea's shiiti seasons, they still won laurels.

The head and shoulders are in attributes Zizou excel in. When it comes to other areas there things these other guys outshine him.

However, it is actually a tactical thing. The tactics today are more demanding and the tactics then gave 10s limited responsibilities.

Are you saying Zidane can't fit into today's "tactics"? grin

Finito.

Do you mean Zidan doesn't know how to throw through tailored passes like Bruyne and control the ball like Modric?

Oga, Zidan na two in one of both players attributes and even had better ones.

Who is talking about last season with respect to stability? It was 2021 we discussed naa... now you wanna shamelessly move the goalposts.

Between last season and this current one, your club has been a shit show in terms of stability and that is why Osimhen should not get close to your club.

My good doc, I disagree because in today's game, it is hard to have room for the magic.

Let us use Foden for instance. He is strictly a direct goal threat and focused in being key to our wins.

Not taking anything away from Zidane. What I am saying is,

Zidane is better than the new breeds of 10s when it comes to magic.

But these new breeds are monsters when it comes to goal contributions. Muller for instance is better than Zidane when it comes to work rate and tactical discipline in the offensive third.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muTrsRd77gk

It is hard to have room for magic and Bryn dey throw magical pass. Modric dey rule Europe. Dey play.

Join both players attributes together and that is in one man Zizzus.
