LW- Musa, Onyekuru, Lookman,
RW- Kalu, Chukwueze, Simon Moses (can also play LW),
Others (LW/RW) - Dennis Bonaventure, Chidera Ejuke, Hillary Gong, etc..
Onyekuru should not dull oooo.... That Monaco move would have been great even though he would have forsaken CL football. But let's see the end of this... It's not like Gala isn't a top team. But I personally prefer France to Turkey. Simon Moses was a makeshift for injured Samuel Kalu. He is a natural LW. |

komekn: Bobby Adekanya has a long way to go, he needs to play competitive first team football for one season before anything can be said.
Seyi Ojo is already proven he has great end product but not a lot of skill and the obligatory flamboyance needed to endear yourself to the Nigerian fans.
You must understand it would FOOTBALL SUICIDE when you are a established England youth international. To declare for another country when you have not sorted out your long term contractual future.
That's exactly what Lookman, Ejaria , Ojo, Onomah, Iorfa, etc have done. However, you don't invite yourself there is still a protocol.
There were some who were NEVER going to play for Nigeria like Solanke and Ibe, which I said many many moons ago. I agree with you on Bobby Adekanye but let us see what becomes of him at Lazio. If he does well at the beginning of the season, I think we should cap him before Holland. That's right, Sheyi Ojo is a straight forward player. He can improve with time. But some like Dele Bashiru and Maja prefer Nigeria. Nothing has happened to them. Have you spoken with Solanke? |

MetalJigsaw: PAOK ready to sell Akpom for 7 million pounds By Tunde Liadi on August 3, 2019
Rave of the moment in Greece, Chuba Akpom has become a subject of bidding war among West Ham, Eintracht Frankfurt and Mainz in the current transfer window as they seek to prize him away from PAOK Thessaloniki.
Akpom won the Greek League and the cup double with PAOK last season in his debut season with the club after he joined the club permanently from Arsenal.
He will be left with only a season more on his contract with PAOK at the end of the current season and even though the Greek club will like to keep him, they will not also hesitate to cash in on him.
Feelers from PAOK informed that the Nigerian born player will be available for 6 million pounds.
Akpom representative, Emeka Obasi told SportingLife.ng that his client will be open for a return to England or to go to Germany if a deal is struck.
He also opined that Akpom will like to continue his learning curve in Greece if he is unable to move to another club until the end of the transfer window.
“We are studying the proposals from West Ham United, Frankfurt and Main who have signified intention to sign our client,” Obasi told SportingLife.
“He will fancy a return to the EPL and England if West Ham makes their inquiries firm with an acceptable bid before the end of the transfer window on August 8. He is also not foreclosing a move to Germany where Frankfurt and Mainz have also indicated interest.
“We are going to review everything before the end of the transfer window. It is a win-win situation for both parties because he will be left with a season on his contract at the end of the season. No matter how good he is for them they know it won’t be profitable he leaves on a free transfer at the end of his contract.” Akpom scored for goals for PAOK in their last friendly game win. If you perform in a decent league you will be noticed. |

so Chriskels is right... even Ahmed musa we all know he has an Edo blood flowing through him.
many hausa/fulani footballers barely achieve much like the southerners.
we are not being tribal...just that the ambition and drive to make it out despite the odds is not just there. Garba Lawal played for Roda fc. Roda played in the UEFA cup thrice while he was there. |

TheSuperNerd: And when he was called back he was not producing the goods for us. He struggled game after game yet we kept faith with him.
Let Kayode try to get noticed first be it in the UCL or in Ukraine. He has a lot of work to do to get back into Rohr's radar. The likes of Okereke, Osimhen et al are not smiling and Iheanacho is already gradually fighting his way back to the form that made him so loved. Who scored the goals against Cameroon? Don't forget that was his first game after he was called back. The point remains that he was called back after he performed at club level first. The same thing applies to Iheanacho, he should get noticed first in the EPL. |

TheSuperNerd: What about before China? Was he still banging in goals aplenty? Ighalo at a point didn't merit a NT invite. But we just had to persist and persist until he came good for us.
Iheanacho is at a higher pedestal than Kayode hence the chances of Rohr calling him up more often then Kayode. He has already proven himself in the GWG and is just having a rough phase he is fighting to shake off. But in Kayode's case, he needs to get noticed again. For Kayode to get noticed, he needs to start scoring. He needs to convince Rohr again.
And Suleiman is a striker. Mbappe plays as a winger/wing forward most times but he is also a striker. That is who he is naturally. When he stopped banging in goals he was not called to the national team but as soon as he picked up in China he was called back. That's fact. Playing in a middle table team doesn't tantamount to playing at the highest level. It is like saying playing for Nice in Ligue 1 tantamounts to playing at the highest level than a player playing for Benfica. However, it's easier for Iheanacho to be noticed in EPL ahead of Kayode in the Ukrainian league if he does well because it is the most watched league in Europe but it's far more easier for Kayode to be noticed in the UEFA Champions League (if he performs) ahead of Iheanacho in the EPL because that's the biggest stage of European league. As you can see, everything is attached to PERFORMANCE. |

TheSuperNerd: Based on recent performances at one time, Ighalo was also not qualified. But we persisted with him. It paid off. Now we have younger quality options, so other parameters like individual player quality has to be considered.
It is okay to keep an open mind on Ujah but for me, I know there is nothing new the guy can add to our Super Eagles or add to his game.
Suleiman Abdullahi is a striker. I have followed him since before his Union Berlin days. He has played the majority of his senior career games as a CF. He played more from the right last season as a Right winger but he is predominantly a Striker.
Oh yes... We have Josh Maja in Bordeaux. We will see what he conjures up this season. I disagree. Ighalo was highly qualified because he was banging in goals in the Chinese league as at the time he was called back. That's not the case with those two players. We should put sentiment for one corner, they don't deserve to be called to the national team at the detriment of those doing well, except they do well this season, then they should get a look. I am not saying we should not consider or write them off ooooo. Okay! But if he continues as a winger this season, we should not consider him among the strikers. |

Moses Simon is strongly two-footed but uses his right a bit more.
Success Makanjuola of the U-20s is a left footer but not settled in Europe yet. Although there is Sheyi Ojo and Adekanye...
But it is just Chuks for now at a high level. Yes, we have. Bobby Adekanye of Lazio and Sheyi Ojo of Rangers. |

TheSuperNerd: I didn't even remember Kayode to be honest. Lol
But I will consider Kayode at Shahktar over an Ujah who is in the bundesliga. Why? Quality ratings. I have watched Ujah enough to know he just can not cut it for us.
Kayode still have time. He is just 26 or 27.
But my unbiased list of SE strikers for the long run in this new era based on their high potentials, previous/recent showings, levels of competitions, exposure and overall prospects going forward is as follows:
- Kelechi Iheanacho (I see him contributing to this new era as both a #9 and an SS).
- Victor Osimhen (My #1 pick for the #9 role)
- Ebere Paul Onuachu
- Taiwo Awoniyi
- David Okereke
- Kayode Olanrewaju
- Stephen Odey
Anthony Ujah... Ain't considering this guy one bit. There is even a far younger Suleiman Abdullahi at Union Berlin. For now, he is on my probables. But nothing for Ujah. I don't rate him. The only player that has the edge over Kayode on your list is Iheanacho if the bolded is considered. That's based on previous achievement but going by recent performance both are not qualified to make the national team. Unfortunately, they both have serious challenges ahead of them this season due to the fact that they are both either second or third strikers in their teams. However, let us wait and see what happens this season. I am open to any player that does well in their various league including Ujah. Sulieman Abdullahi is not a striker but we still have a certain Maja in Ligue 1. |

You add Kayode instead of Ujah this time... at least, I can manage Kayode. But Ujah... No way for that man. Lol... Not when Giant Killer David is already on Rohr's radar sef. Based on his comment, he said Iheanacho and Okereke should replace Ighalo and Onuachu. I agree with Iheanacho but I don't agree Okereke should be ahead of the other three options. Besides, I have seen your list of strikers but it's funny you placed Okereke, Awoniyi and Onuachu ahead of Olanrewaju. Well, your opinion. Their performance this season will determine who should be on the radar. Anything short of that is favourism. Hence, Ujah still remains relevant in this discussion. |

ChrisKels: Dennis Bonaventure is PROBABLY the most skilful Nigerian footballer currently. He has so many tricks in his sleeve, the only problem is that he overdoes it and loses the ball in the process. FC Brugges appear to be too strong for their opponents in the Belgian league so far.
I agree with this assessment from Dammi
Cc CEF I think Noah Bazee is more skillful. They are yet to play Genk, Gent and Anderlecht. |
