100freekiss: Thanks for the insult....I know you understand my point, but u prefer to throw insults.
Give the Niger Delta the right to control their resources and militancy will end.
You can't beat a child and expect the child not to cry You can't keep stealing their resources in the name of " National Wealth " , leave their land barren and expect them to be happy.
Forget my friend , let's face the truth. call a spade a spade.
Only true fredralism or confederate system of government will bring peace to Nigeria I don't understand your point .The problems of Niger delta is not much different from the problems facing the other parts of the country -CORRUPTION. They need to ask their leaders what they have been doing with the derivation and allocation funds Ibori ,Alams, Odili even Tompolo, GEJ . Their local chiefs and traditional rulers who are collecting money fr oil companies. so why destroying public properties ? |

Imagine gtbank charging me 9,105 naira for a software of 31usd I bought online., meaning they charged me at a rate very close to black market price. I was so furious of the event. Another one was at first bank where I saw a worker at firstbank(not sure if it's firstbank staff) helping those that are at the back of the queue at the western Union stand to withdraw money for them and thereby collecting her own payment or bribe. I can't wait when sanity will return to our banks ....the entire country which Jonathan don spoil. ! |

Built2last: You might not share in my opinion but I have one question for all of us.
Is PMB winning the war on corruption?
If yes, mention one person who has spent 5 days behind bars. They are remanded on friday and granted bail on monday.
Truth is, PMB would have succeeded if this is military regime. This is democracy and we don't have perfect institutions to nail corrupt fellows.
IMO, PMB should block all lupholes and face front. Consistent embrace of this administration to the past will on wake us up 4 years later to realise that we have not had dividends of democracy. This anti corruption war is a serious distraction. 2019, people will remember I noted this.
The men on that list are strong men who will definitely fight back. His kinsmen removed him in 1983 for stubbornness. ..history is playing back....let him face front, embrace the future, block corrupt channels, revive an obvious dead economy by strong economic ideas and we will re elect him in 2019.
You may say, I don't feel the pains of families and soldiers who have died but that's not exactly what they need.
They currently need reassurance that government got their back. Rebuild the waste places, ensure peace in the region, build infrastructures for them. Create employment for them and empower the youths. If PMB jails all the men on that list which will never happen, the region still needs adequate security and welfare.
I can't find Ihejirikas and Danbazzau on that list is it because the later is now a minister under his regime?
Danbazzau heldsway under Yaradua while Ihejirika held sway under GET. Not forgetting the NSA before Dasuki.
PMB should investigate our economy further and face front.
I don't see him jailing more than 5 people in 4 years. Our laws have enough lacuna to free thieves...that's why no one is behind bars 7months after. arrant nonsense . |

Zitoangels: . Someone needs to tell them that based on the world oil benchmark price at the moment, Nigerian government no longer can depend on oil as it's clearly shown in 2016 budget. Even if the oil benchmark price bounces back, that region will be to suffer for it because already the government of the day would have diversified her economy and little or no attention will be paid to oil. If Mr. Tompolo has nothing to hide he should do the honourable thing by appearing in court or he faces the consequence of disobedience to the law of the state. He should be reminded that if he has a war ship, the military has intelligence and 25 mines protection war vehicles have just been delivered to the Nigerian Army by the United States of America. He should therefore count the cost of the war he's drumming about before it is too late. . . It's the touts whose lives will be snuffed out in the ensuing retaliation by the government that i pity. One thing is certain, you cannot fight FG and win. SURE .When the government start dealing with them now ,they will be shouting rule of law , buhari is a tyrant ! how can anybody or a group hold a state to ransome ? |
