Hannania: Tech stack only matters if you know what you want to do.
.NET is used mostly in legacy software these days. Java and Javascript should be the comparison you should make, then Spring/Spring boot vs Node.js.
For the first two, just pick one. Node.js is mainly used at startups, and Spring boot at enterprise organizations.
There are more unfilled roles remotely in Java than in Node.js. Because most developers around here think Java is hard. But you have a higher chance of getting a job with few applicants compared to backend JavaScript with node.js.
Just pick one, and you're good to go. wow. Thank you so much for the insight. Can i dm you please? |

Yeah, I am a full stack developer but I focused on frontend (VueJs and Reactjs) when I realised this because I have always hoped to get a remote job and earn in dollars. Right now I am expecting positive results from three different companies in USA, Colombia, and Poland. I have already passed their assessment tests (I was asked to build a mini app) and waiting for the final interview. I hope I will be favoured. hello dev, i hope you got the job? |

Kaycee4194: Well, I went through the program and for me the pros far outweighs the cons. I've seen people say go to udemy and get videos and learn. I can promise you that only few people get to actually understand or get what they are watching in those videos. I didn't know Jack when I applied to Decagon but believe you me, after the program I am doing well for myself. Not everybody has the same experience but if you keep your head in the game and work hard, the 3 mil loan will be a something you will look back at and laugh. Apart from skill what people underate in software engineering is the community you build. It is way more than money and trust me you will get a whole lot of connections which will help you in future both in linking you up with jobs and helping you out when you have bugs even in your place of work.
If you are thinking of starting a career in tech. Decagon is a yes from me. Hello, please can i dm you? 1 Like |

Iretii0511: Don’t let anyone scare you, it’s a great thing if you can put in the work. One thing you should know is that decagon do not admit average students. The entrance assessments are tough and you must scale through even if you want to pay cash. But if you scale through, you still have to work even harder to stay ahead of your game. For me, it was a life changing experience entirely. Software engineering is not something that’s very easy to learn under six months especially for novice. But Decagon will do everything to set you on the part of success. There is also a large alumni association which still shoulder the responsibility of growth even as a software engineer.
However, if you don’t have any experience with programming and you are not sure you can sacrifice everything to a serious learning path, don’t apply.
Decagon was a good experience for me. It could help you too. Hello, please can i send you a mail? |

To profit from the market,I believe a swing trader has to be open to choose several assets. This comes with its own discipline because having a large amount of asset at your disposal and personally choosing to trade a particular set is what is required to manage equity (this is different from hiding off some pairs so you "can't" see them or trade them) . This is like having a large buffet where you choose which food you want to eat instead of having a limited choice of food and consequently being "forced" to eat what is available. The discipline involved helps you to not overtrade and consequently straining equity.
Swing setups take a longer period to complete and for the benefit of trading experience, I believe a new swing trader should spend more time with the market so that necessary mistakes can be made and strategies can easily be determined.
Using myself as an example, i have all the assets at my disposal but I choose to trade mostly jpy pairs, EA, usdcad,oil,US100 and probably gold. This has had it's impact on my experience as some of these are very volatile assets and i don't want to blow my account so I must be rigid with my risk management .
My win rate is still less than 50% but my account is not dead. So, i hope you gerrit
As clear as day. God bless you chief! |

JohnBullMySon: I don't see any reason you should need an agent. You are a prospective student so you should be able to do those things yourself. The more legitimate you are, the higher your chances. From what you're saying, its already sounding like you're not planning to continue with the school or maybe that's what the agent is planning for you. I needed the opinion of open minded and experienced people, of course it’s a plan i want to carry out but I’m looking before leaping |

Your age is fine then. Research on the Express Entry program and if you do meet the requirements. Set some money aside for the IELTS, get materials for it and prepare well for it. Your aim is bands 8 in the exam which you may not get in the first one but will with determination and getting the right materials and you are good along with the other requirements if you meet them. Ire o. Thank you for the insight. I’ll consider it 1 Like 1 Share |

It won't bro even if you pay in installments which some schools accept. Why am I saying this? The money you earn working for at most 20 hours a week in school session is just for your accommodation and won't be anywhere close to your school fees. Hope I have addressed your question.
Still maintain, are you at most 35? If yes, why not try the Canada PR Express Entry program instead? If you have a university degree and at that age range, with bands of 8 in your IELTS, you will meet the points requirements in order to be able to apply. That is a much better option imo. Plus that money even after all the spending on IELTS exam will meet the funds requirements for the program if you are a bachelor. Point noted on the schoole fees. Thanks Concerning my age, I’m 28 |

I beg you, do not use agent to process your travel plans. Here's why;
1. Your 5milly will drastically reduce, agent will charge you exorbitant prices to process your admission and visa. You will be left with nothing if at all your visa is approved.
2. Travel agent are dubious, do not risk them when it comes with Canadian visa, proof of fund is not easy to come by unless you have family and relatives that can give you. Some of these agent's use oluwole (fake) proof of fund for their applicant's and Canada will verify every single document you submitted for your visa application. If caught with fake documents, your ban will be longer than third midland bridge.
This is my advice.
1. Do not limit your choice of schools to Canada alone, check schools in US, UK, Germany, France and some European countries. Do not have the mindset that you want to fund your education unless you have support back home.
2. Aim for scholarship, some schools in the US are very generous with funding depend on your course of study and your overall application. If you don't mind, sit for Toefl and GRE to boost your application.
3. Start searching for schools in those above mentioned countries that has your intended program and check their admissions requirements, and deadlines while doing this, be strategic. You can send an email to the graduate coordinator of your program and ask for first-hand information about the requirements, tell him your CGP and inquire if there's funding opportunities available for student in the department.
Thank you so much sir. I’ll definitely consider your advice |

5million is so small for one who wants to go for an MSc in Canada. Except if you have a sponsor who has over N10 million as proof of funds. Just your N5million will not get you a visa. For more info on this contact me. The agent who i plan to work with said he will get a proof of funds and a budget of 5 million can sort out the rest. What do you think please? |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Get A Federal Job Or Move To Canada by fortz007: 8:32am On May 06, 2022 |
miolad20: Take the high-paying job in Nigeria. That your 5m is not enough for an MSc programme in Canada (considering school fees, living costs etc.) That money can be used for many other things in Nigeria including getting an MSc degree.
Your work experience at the federal job, MSc (if you decide to do it in Nigeria), and good savings MAY come in handy in about 3 years if you're still interested in moving to Canada.
Cheers

Right. I don't know what gave the OP the impression that the N5m can get him to Canada for postgraduate studies. The agent who i plan to work with says it will be sufficient. Although proof of fund of about 15m, will be provided by him. What do you think please |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Get A Federal Job Or Move To Canada by fortz007: 8:25am On May 06, 2022 |
JohnBullMySon: I would've said two but the problem here is that you haven't gotten the M.Sc. before even talking about Study permit, so you can't classify that as an option. And 5 million will not get you that unless you have a scholarship with it.
If the 5m is all you're banking on, no extra money, no credentials, baba get the job before someone takes it away. Thanks for your honest opinion. Although the agent i plan to work with says aside the proof of funds he can get for me to show, 5m is all i will need to secure an admission and travel. What do you think please? |

JosephXavier: First of all, it's not every course deserves you traveling to Canada for master's degree program
If you did a professional course that is marketable like engineering, health related course it computer science, then you can talk of moving abroad
If instead you did a course like animal husbandry, just forget Masters and do your lucrative job in Nigeria except you're doing your master's in one of the saleable courses abroad
Plenty people have gone for Masters in Europe and have failed in securing a job
One is an example of a friend of mine that studied petroleum engineering and went to France for master's, finished and also did PhD and is still finding it difficult to get a job and is even considering coming back to Nigeria to job hunt
Both options are good depending on how you're looking at it
Besides traveling to Canada is capital intensive and not everyone can afford it
You'll need 1) school fees (and Canadian schools are expensive) 2) Proof of funds 3) flight, money for visa processing/application 4) accomdation 5) etc
If your parents are not super rich and you're not going with scholarship, just respect yourself and remain in your federal job Thank you so much for your opinion. I have a BSc in microbiology and i plan on getting Msc in public health. Would it be able to secure a job for me there? Ps: I’m not from a rich home and that’s all the money i have |
