The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has said that God will not allow Nigeria to break up in 2015. He said that regardless of the political tension, insecurity and predictions that Nigeria would break up in 2015, the country would not be dismembered. He spoke on Tuesday during a media briefing for the commencement of the Deeper Life Bible Church three-day crusade at Eiyenkorin in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. He advised against utterances and acts that could divide the country, saying that God’s purpose is for Nigeria to remain united. He stated that there would be life transforming encounters with God, adding that God would lift the burden of people during the crusade. Kumuyi said, “Sometimes people misunderstood the power of prophecy and there are people who will make negative pronouncements. Pronouncements are not necessarily prophecies. Every utterance on Nigeria breaking up is a pronouncement made from observations and not prophecies. “I believe those who made those pronouncements based on some things they see or feel should say ‘they feel Nigeria may break up’ and not that God said that. Because if God could hear the voice of only Moses and spared Israel and they still exist over 3,000 years after, then God loves Nigeria and would not allow it to break up. “God has a purpose for Nigeria. When people talk of division, the truth is that once you start the process, it never ends. Once you say, ‘people in the North, go your way and those in the South, go your way,’ there are other people who will also rise up to say they too want to go their own way even within you. You know what happened in the 1960s; several sides will begin to be asked to go away but I know that God has a purpose for bringing Nigeria together and we shall remain one.” Kumuyi also advised the electorate to elect leaders based on competence rather than on sentimental considerations. He added that leaders should not be elected necessarily because of their religious or ethnic cleavages but should be elected based on their ability to deliver dividends of democracy and good governance to the people. He urged the electorate to evaluate the manifestoes of political parties and politicians and vote wisely and rightly. He also called on Nigerians to be committed to nation building, adding that the Federal Government and the security agencies should continue in their efforts to address insecurity and other violent crimes in the country. He also urged Nigerians and clerics to continue to pray to God to intervene and bring an end to insecurity in the country. The cleric also advised Nigerians to avoid destructive criticisms, adding that people should appreciate the positive impacts of their leaders and offer constructive criticisms.

1. ARE YOU ALWAYS THE FIRST TO APOLOGISE AFTER AN ARGUMENT?

A study earlier this year found if one of you bounces back quickly after a row, moves on and avoids sulking, your marriage is likely to be stronger and happier.

Interestingly, you don't both have to behave like this to reap the benefit – so if your partner's the mature sensible one, a little sulking can't hurt!
2. YOU SPEND MORE TIME IN THE REAL WORLD THAN THE VIRTUAL ONE
According to lawyers, Facebook has a lot to answer for. 'We deal with 5,000 divorce petitions a year,' says Amanda McAlister from solicitors Russell Jones & Walker.

'Facebook and Friends Reunited are cited as grounds in one-third of cases.

Social networking sites can be addictive, and sometimes it's hard to resist a first love who gets in touch after 30 years.' Experience has taught her honesty is the best policy: 'Be upfront about who you're in touch with online' – many of my clients hit trouble when they start keeping secrets.
3. BOTH OF YOU GIVE YOUR BRAINS A WORKOUT
It's said only fools fall in love, but intelligent people are better at staying in love. A study found those of below-average intelligence are 50 per cent more likely to divorce than those with a higher IQ.

So exercising your brain – whether it's Sudoku, evening classes or conversation – boosts more than just brainpower
4. STAND UP FOR YOUR INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS
There was much talk a few years ago about the Surrendered Wife movement, in which women just did exactly what their husbands said in order to make them happy.

But a recent survey found that women who see themselves as feminists are more likely to have stronger relationships and enjoy a better sex life.
5. YOU STILL LAUGH AT HIS SILLY JOKES
That's a good sign. 'Laughter lowers our levels of stress hormones, which impacts on how irritable we feel,' Stress can turn off your sex drive and make you put up a barrier.

So rent a film that cracks you both up – you'll feel refreshed and happier.'
6. YOU'VE GIVEN UP SMOKING
The more similar people are in values and habits, the more likely they are to have a successful marriage. If your partner is a smoker, you're 75-91% more likely to split up than couples of same-smoking status.

Quit, and you'll live longer – and spend more years together.

PDP Backs Buhari To Probe Jonathan
The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said, yesterday, that the Presidency was free to probe past administrations but warned that the exercise must not be carried out with malice, designed to witch-hunt some persons who worked under Dr. Jonathan.

Speaking with Vanguard, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, said the investigation must be within the ambit of the law and respect for fundamental human rights of citizens, adding that a government must plan for the future and not necessarily spending its energy looking into the past.

The National Universities Commission, NUC, has shut down nine universities in Nigeria for operating without legal licenses.

He stated that the universities have been in existence for years and have just being extorting money from students who were given fake certificates.

The listed universities are those affected; National University of Nigeria, Keffi (Nasarawa State); North Central University, Otukpo (Benue State); Christ Alive Christian Seminary and University, (Enugu state); Richmond Open University, Arochukwu (Abia State) and Saint Clements University, Iyin Ekiti (Ekiti State) West Coast University, Umuahia, Volta University College, Aba, (Abia State) and the satellite campuses of Ambrose Ali University. The publication also reveals that: “In addition to the closure, the following `Degree Mills’ are currently undergoing court actions; the purpose of these actions is to prosecute the proprietors and recover illegal fees and charges on subscribers.

“For the avoidance of doubt, anybody who patronizes or obtains any certificate from any of these illegal institutions does so at his or her own risk. “Certificates obtained from these sources will not be recognized for the purposes of NYSC, employment and further studies.” NUC also persuaded Nigerians to disconnect themselves from the institutions and their certificates. While some are being closed, new private universities have been recommended to the president for approval. NUC also stated that they are considering introduction of a pre-Doctoral Programme in the postgraduate studies in Nigerian universities. This was said while Prof Okojie was at an interactive session with Education Correspondents Association of Nigeria (ECAN).

He explained that the universities listed on the proposal sent to the president through the Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, Minister of Education have all being approved by NUC but would also receive the input and approval of the Federal Executive Council (FEC). He said access to university education has been a challenge in the country with over one million Nigerians, who were, on annual basis, unable to gain admission into the limited tertiary institutions because of low carrying capacity.

The executive secretary of NUC has said, that NUC is considering the introduction of pre- Ph.D. programme in Nigerian universities based on the recommendation of some of the vice chancellors.

HealthHealth Benefits Of Lime by foxgiovani(op): 2:40pm On Jul 21, 2015
I am quit aware that we all know what lime is, but not we all know what we stand to benefit when we make use of it.

To many, it is just a fruit. But I tell you that there is more to it than you possibly know. Listed below are some of the health benefits of lime.

The health benefits include-

Weight Loss: A glass of warm water with a full lime’s worth of juice in it is an excellent weight reducer as well as a brilliant refresher and antioxidant drink. The citric acid present in lime is an excellent fat burner. You can consume two glasses a day and see legitimate and remarkable results within a week.

Eye Care: Vitamin-C again! Its anti oxidant properties protect eyes from aging and macular degeneration. On top of that, flavonoids help protect them from infections.

Skin Care: Lime juice and its natural oils are very beneficial for skin when consumed orally or applied externally. It rejuvenates the skin, keeps it shining, protects it from infections and reduces body odor due to the presence of a large amount of vitamin-C and Flavonoids. Those are both class-1 anti oxidants, and have antibiotic and disinfectant properties. When applied externally on skin, its acids scrub out the dead cells, cures dandruff, rashes, and bruises. It can also be used to create a refreshing bathing experience if its juice or oil is mixed into your bathing water.

Digestion: Lime has an irresistible scent which causes your mouth to water and this actually aids primary digestion (the digestive saliva floods your mouth even before you taste it). The natural acidity in lime does the rest. While they break down of the macro molecules of the food, the Flavonoids, the compounds found in the fragrant oils extracted from lime, stimulate the digestive system and increase secretion of digestive juices, bile and acids. This flood of flavonoids also stimulate the peristaltic motion. This is the reason behind lemon pickle with lunch and dinner being a traditional practice in India and various neighboring countries in that region.

A southwest Florida woman and her daughter both gave birth at the same hospital on the same day.

Heather Penticoff and her daughter Destinee Martin each found out they were pregnant on the same day. They had the same due dates and, for separate medical reasons, doctors at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers decided to induce both of them Tuesday.

Overjoyed: Destinee Martin, 20, (left) cradles her newborn son Damien, hours after her mother Heather Penticoff, 40 (right) gave birth to her sister Madeline at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida.

PoliticsThe Mysterious Village Where People Fall Asleep For Days by foxgiovani(op): 1:53pm On Jul 21, 2015
In a village in Kazakhstan, a strange phenomenon has been occurring for some time now: People black out without getting drunk, then fall asleep for hours at a time. When they wake up, they don’t remember a thing.

The mysterious plague is referred to as the “sleeping sickness,” and while scientists and government officials are still confused as to what causes it, there have been plenty of speculations. Some have linked it to high levels of radiation, while others believe it might be carbon monoxide, radon, or heavy metal salts — all of which can be toxic to humans at certain amounts. Yet many villagers believe it’s emanating from an abandoned Soviet uranium mine near the village, called the Krasnogorskiy mine.

Now, according to a recent announcement by the Kazakh government, the answer to the sleeping sickness does apparently lie in the uranium mines. Berdibek Saparabaev, Kazakhstan’s deputy prime minister, claims that researchers found that high levels of carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons from the uranium mines explained the sudden sleepiness and accompanying symptoms.

“The uranium mines were closed at some point, and at times a concentration of carbon monoxide occurs there,” Saparabaev said, according to The Guardian. “The oxygen in the air is reduced accordingly, which is the real reason for the sleeping sickness in these villages.” But plenty of scientists around the world are skeptical about this conclusion.

The sleeping sickness began to hit in March 2013, when villagers, children, and even their pets began mysteriously falling asleep — at home, on the job, even behind the wheel. Since then, it has affected some 140 or more people in a population of 810. Accompanying symptoms included dizziness, severe headache, nausea, and memory loss.

@ OP I don't know exactly the criteria you used to arrive at this and I really don't know most of these sites, but I want to correct what I perceived to be a mistake, I stand to be corrected though.

Being a user of one of these sites, I don't think Tradot.com is actually a blog.

Tradot.com is a platform consisting of many features of which the " blogs" feature is just one of them. There are many blogs on that site not just one and that could be one of the reasons for it getting many visits

It simply gives people the opportunity to blog for free, but it's not a blog itself.
