True2myself24: I'm not a parent but I'm teacher who has taught in early childhood education before. Caining can be effective but it will only bring immediate change instead of long term. Since she's two, it's important to figure out what is triggering the biting behavior. Observe her when she plays with her peers. Is she biting as a way of initiating play? Or is she biting her friends when they try to play with something that she has? Or maybe she enjoys all the attention she gets from biting. Just imagine from a two year olds perspective. You bite your friend, your friend starts crying, all the teachers rush to you after they've seen what you've done and they scold you for it. It's exciting, because it's attention and a lot of stimulation all at once. Children don't care if it negative or positive attention. And also understand where she's at developmentally, its normal for two year olds to have the tendency to bite when they want something a friend has, because they lack the proper vocabulary and language skills necessary to communicate their needs. That's when you as an adult have to step in and say "We don't bite!!! We use our words. Tell him you want the ball." It's good to correct bad behavior, but remember you have to also actively teach good behavior. Hope this helps.

There are indications that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in Nigeria may end its four-month old strike on Saturday, November 16.

About 120 chapters of the union have voted in support of the decision to end the strike at their various congresses held in their institutions.

However, the National Executive of the body has not ratified the decision to end the strike.

A Pro-Chancellor of the University of Benin, Senator Effiong Bob, urged ASUU to end the strike in honour of Late Fetus Iyayi, a former president of the union.

Senator Bob, who was at the residence of the late professor pointed out that Late Iyayi died while trying to resolve the issue.

“ASUU Should call of the strike so that both the union members and students can come and give him the last respect he deserves during his funeral,” he said.

Late Iyayi died on Tuesday, November 12, in an auto crash on his way to Kano for a meeting of the union.

In a meeting with the leadership of the union, President Goodluck Jonathan had agreed to provide 1.1 trillion Naira (about 6.9 billion dollars) in the next five years and the balance of 62 billion Naira (about 390 million dollars) and allowance to each university.

The union had embarked on a nationwide strike on July 1 suspending all academic activities.

My advice to you is to be very careful. One I do not think it is safe as you dont know who this ladies are. Even if you have pure intentions, you dont know theirs.

Nashville: Do you tell your wife about these lifts and is she in support of it? Do you contact these ladies after you drop them just to make sure they got to their final destinations and continue to enjoy their company? Do you become casual friends with them after or it all ends once they get out of your car?

You are a good man and you have a good heart and your intentions are very pure. You just seem to discriminate a bit - seems like you only give rides to ladies; particularly those that look single. My advice is to continue doing your good work. In due cause you will be richly rewarded! Amen!

I don't subscribe to sending away your niece who's done nothing. Talk to her ,depending on her age and your relationship with her. You send her away without confronting him, you'll only end up giving your hubby the impression that you are "afraid of him and his randy diick" . Who says he can't seek her out from your parents house or anywhere you take her to?
