Personally, I would have vowed that with the privatisation, epileptic power supply would be a thing of the past. Very sad to know its not going to better electricity supply. Or, maybe the companies now in charge need more time to give us uninterrupted power supply. But how long will that take? |
Hmmm, I thought its only worse in Delta. I expected that the privatisation would better the sector. What is really happening in this country? |
I am just curious to find out what the power supply situation is in other parts of the country. Here in Asaba, Delta State, it seem to be worse than how it was when PHCN was in charge. Please what's the situation like in your area? |
mayor2013: @ op are you new here?? Havent you been reading up that connecting your fans directly is hazardous to your car. I cant start explaining the complexity behind it. There was a guy here on naira land who did same and immediately his ECU got fried up. Return that fan to work the normal way it was and find out the real reason why it aint working probably the ECT would have been disconnected.GOD, I need your help. @Mayor, pls, this is my first car. I really don't have any experience yet on cars. I was told that cars in the Western world use thermostat because of their weather. That over here, we don't need thermostat due to our hot weather. The electrician connected it in such a way that once the car engine is on, the two fans begin to blow immediately. Are u suggesting he connect the thermostat back? please advice me. |
I bought a Mazda 323 car 1995 Model. it was discovered that the Fans work with the use of thermostat. Meaning its only when I put on the AC that the fans blow or after I've driven for a while. I was told that it can kill my engine so that I should connect it so that once the car is on, the fans will be blowing. I decided to do that but my fear is that my electrician used so many wire, joining and cellotaping in different places. I am scared of our electricians bc most of dem are not professionals. I don't want my car to burst into fire on one of my journey's bc of somebody's error. Is it really so risky using the car like that? Please advice me. Thanks. |
The next thing you will hear now is that a suspect is innocent until proven guilty. Innocent my foot. |
bee444: Only women who go through divorce with no fault of their own should be compensated dearly by their husbands. Men who throw their wives out just to marry another woman should be ashamed of themselves and should be held accountable for irresponsibility.I totally agree with you. If it is found that the man is at fault, the woman should be adequately compensated but if its the woman's fault, let her carry her cross. |

President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday arrived in Paris, France, to join other world leaders that are participating in a summit on peace and security in Africa. Also the President has declared three days of national mourning for former South African President, Dr. Nelson Mandela who passed away yesterday. Flags are to be flown at half-mast across Nigeria during the period and President Jonathan urges all Nigerians to unite in solidarity with the brotherly people of South Africa as they mourn the great liberator, freedom fighter and hero of the black race. The President also calls for special prayers in mosques and churches in Nigeria during the period of mourning which begins today, for the peaceful repose of Dr. Mandela’s soul. A special inter-denominational memorial service for Dr. Mandela will be held at the State House Chapel on Sunday. The president and his entourage arrived at a Military Airforce Base in Paris at about 10.30 a.m. Jonathan was accompanied by the First Lady, Dame Patience and some Presidential Aides. He was received at the airport by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Nurudeen Mohammed, and the Nigerian Ambassador to France, Mr Hakeem Suleiman. No fewer than 50 Heads of State and Government are participating in the Elysee Palace Summit being hosted by President Francois Hollande of France. The UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, heads of European institutions and leaders of Africa’s sub-regional and continental organisations such as the AU and ECOWAS are also participating in the summit. The summit is scheduled to discuss peace and security in Africa, economic partnership, sustainable development and climate change. Hollande and Mrs Valerie Trierweiler are billed to host all heads of delegation to the summit and their spouses to a state dinner. Nigeria’s first lady Patiece will participate in an advocacy meeting on sexual violence against women in conflict to be hosted by Trierweiler at the Orsay Museum in Paris. It will be recalled that the president and the first lady had on Tuesday left Abuja for Paris, but had a stopover in Germany for a private visit. (NAN)

yellowpawpaw: I don't answer and neither does he answer mine. U call and I didn't answer, call again or I will call when I hv access to my phone.k, nice one. |
njokusboy: My wife cannot pick my calls especially if its a business call or a call from my homies, even in marriage, there is still privacy... Except she is only picking to say, " call back later"... I cannot also pick her calls, that she is my wife doesn't mean I'd stalk her..this is the stand of very many people |
psucc: Am shocked that all the teachings and belief of the 'the two becomes one' or 1 + 1 = 1 in marriage only borders on money. If the two are really one, what stops each from picking another's call?I've heard some men say they don't allow their wife to pick their calls and they in turn don't pick their wives call. Some say its only when they tell their wife to pick the call that she does that. Some say its wrong for a woman to read through the husbands text messages. So its ridiculous that why I brought it to get more opinions on this. |
House is it really proper to pick one another's phone calls? What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing so? Your comments, please. |
chucky234: The wife should quit and get a job elswhere, the man quitting in place of the wife will sure breed ego in the wife being the breadwinner for the period the said man would be jobless. Women can be disrespectful and annoying with such ego brewing inside them.Don't you think that paucity of money can be creating problems in the house? This is likely going to come up once they depend solely on his salary. |

Hell was let loose at Umualianya kindred Umumpe, Umuevu Okirika-Nweke in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA of Imo State last Monday when a man, Mr Mathias Nwoko and his female Cousin, Angela Ihuoma Anyanwu, met their untimely death while making love to each other. Sources in the community told 247ureports.com that the late Mathias, 45, had returned home from his Onitsha base to attend the priestly ordination of his kinsman, Rev. Fr. Anayochukwu Onuoha, held at Mater Dei Cathedral, Umuahia, Abia State last Saturday June 20 2013.It was learnt that all through the ordination ceremony, Mathias and the late Angela were literally tied to each other, with the latter taking the front seat of the former’s jeep.Their entanglement was said to have continued the next day, Sunday, during the ceremony marking the first Holy and Thanksgiving Mass at Holy Ghost Parish, Umuevu Okirika-Nweke.The deceased were also seen together at the ordination reception and later at the compound of the new priest where they were dancing to the music coming from Mathias’ car’s loudspeakers, while he occasionally was shooting gunshots from his pump action gun as Angela fed him with cartridges. Interestingly, the deceased cousins were among family members who received prayers from the new priest, who earlier enjoined the people of the community to shun hypocrisy, atrocities and other iniquities if they must avoid God’s anger. The late Mathias who was said to have been married for 13 years without any child, however, returned home with a young girl as his fiancée who he left in the house. It was gathered that while the fiancée was home watching videos and waiting for Mathias, he only returned around 11pm and told her to go to sleep while he collected torchlight to see Angela off to her house. But that was not to be as the duo diverted to Mathias’ semi-completed building.Worried by her daughter’s non arrival to the house, Angela’s mother called her phone line but Mathias was said to have answered the phone telling the woman that her daughter was with him. Also, alarmed by Mathias’ absence in the house up till Monday morning, his fiancée began to look for him within the house and was shocked to have stumbled on the naked but entangled bodies locked in death. She immediately alerted Mathias’ family members who could not believe their eyes. Also, Angela’s mother who was returning from Morning mass was simply speechless at the sight of the deceased. The lady who was on top of the man had her blouse on but naked from the waist region while the man had his singlet on his neck. The two were dead.Their bodies were removed and deposited at Holy Rosary Hospital, Ogbor Nguru in Aboh Mbaise LGA.When contacted, the state police public relations officer (PPRO), Mrs Joy Elemoko, promised to call back to inform our reporter about the outcome of police investigation. |
There are cases when a man and a woman work in the same company and they fall in love and decides to get married. The company policy does not allow couples working in the same company meaning one of them need to quit the job. The woman is earning far higher than the man and her salary can support the home against the man salary which can hardly sustain the home. The big question now is who should quit the job considering that gething another job may not be less than one year. |
Afrocatalyst: For the cement stains on the glasses, use a smooth scraper to scrape out the stains and then wash wit a detergent. Bt the stains in between the rails, scrape to weaken them and then use a vacuum blower to push them out. You can replicate the same for the floor or use a buffer with scrubber. The only problem is that if you are using a buffer you have to soak d floor wit tile cleaner or a mixture of vim,jik and harpic wit detergent. Leave for 30mins and use the machine. Otherwise,go manual. Can any type of detergent be used? |
