Some bandits were reported to have at kidnapped at least 40 worshippers during service at Bege Baptist Church, Madala on Buruku Baringi road in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday.

The chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Kaduna State chapter, Rev. John Hayab, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Kaduna on Monday.




Hayab said the incident happened at about 9:30 am when the worshippers were in the service.

“The worshippers were in the Sunday service in the Church when around 9:30 am they heard gunshots very close to the Church. The gunmen attacked the Church and went away with 40 worshippers,” he said.

He, however, added that 15 of the abducted worshippers escaped, leaving behind 25 others who were at present in the kidnappers’ den.

“Along the way, somehow 15 of the kidnapped persons returned remaining the rest 25 who are presently in captivity without any word from their abductors,” he said.

Hayab added that efforts were being made to contact the abductors on the remaining 25 victims.

we were writing that story based on coincidence, the trio of us never met, nor communicated offline, we just kind of gel, so it was okay if the glue stop sticking, right?

Embarrassing moment yakpa for me. Make I just drop one. During the Fulani/Eggon clash in Nasarawa State around 2015 or so, I was walking from Mararaba to Akunza that night when this bike just passed me. It was a lonely road. Naso this bike stop for front come turnaround begin come my side. Initially I wanted to form hard guy and not run but whoever was on that bike had plans. Dude had his light on my face so I wasn't even seeing plus it was night. I moved to one side, the bike did the same. I moved to the other, bike follow me. Next thing bike parked and the person on it did one kind of athletic jump like that. I forgot bravery o. I don already give the guy pace when I heard my name.
