theV0ice: Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free but it'll first piss you off.
Your situation is perfectly understandable but they spoke the truth. it is true that Lagos and the SW unsurp investments that would have gone to the Niger Delta if she was less volatile. She is volatile because of bad leadership (federal to ward level) and an incompactible system of government. She can change for the better when she leaves a country where some other regions plunder her resources and wish her evil so they can keep plundering. |
Politics › Re: Uyo To Host Niger Delta Investment Summit And 7th Merit Award by fr3do(m): 1:40pm On May 13, 2016 |
The Niger Delta needs to be an independent country, let Niger Deltans control their own resources.
I watched the Ogun investment summit, the speakers who spoke always highlighted on the insecurity of the Niger Delta to their advantage.
I was pissed. |

Ugomba
in this case of secession, the SS and SE seem to be reasoning on the same page, to ease the breaking of this country the SE and SS should for now speak in unison. We should first of all tackle the fulani/hausa and yoruba powers that want this country one for oil. Believe me, I would rather have Anioma wrongly join NDR than have her remain in Nigeria. |

You see the bias of the nigerian security agencies! Now that fulani herdsmen have killed Tiv farmers, policemen have been dispatched to 'maintain peace' not to arrest the murderers. If its the other way round, our yeye police will detain all the community's youth and DSS will make a statement.

tuale4u: There are no igbo in niger delta republic. What we have is igbanke, ika, ikwerre, kwale, ndokwa etc. They are distinct ethnic group. Similarity with Igbo dont make them igbo. Just Itsekiri similarity with yoruba dont make them yoruba. Urhobo and isoko are similar to edo. But they are urhobo and isoko, they are not edo. Akoko edo are similar to yoruba, but we dont consider them yoruba. Ishan is similar to bini. But we dont consider them bini. They are ishan. Etsako is similar to Esan. But we see them as Etsako. kalabari and okrika are similar to Ijaw. But we consider them as okrika and kalabari not Ijaw. Let every ethnic group hold and maintain thier distinct identity. Stop unnecceassary attachment. We are discussing Niger Delta republic. In dis republic every ethnic group is considered distinct and autonomous. That is how we roll. We wont agregate ethnic group.
This is one of d way we will prevent another Nigeria with clear majority three tribes. In Niger Delta republic, there will be no strong majority. Our common language will be engilsh and pidgin english. The Igbo race is a collection of several groups east and west of the Niger. We dont have a common fairy tale origin myth like the yoruba, Hausa ethnic groups. We are Igbos because we have same culture, my people's geographical zone and their location relative to the Niger has no business with their Igboness. |

osabuohein: Niger Delta Republic or The Republic Of Niger Delta will consist of Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Rivers. It would be the most economically viable country in West Africa and Africa at large. Each of these states are very wealthy in Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Lush Green Vegetation, Access To International Waters, Manpower and Other Natural Resources. There's no majority and there's no minority. The republic should have a weak centre with autonomous states/provinces carved along ethnic boundaries. The Igbos in Delta, Rivers and Edo will be part of an Igbo republic. |
