Politics › Re: Onne Seaport Is Fully Functional. Igbos, Start Using It. by fr3do(m): 7:37pm On Mar 19, 2023 |
MikeofAfrica: It has to do with the promixity of the market. Your aunt was able to use Onne because it was close to Aba. Businessmen in Lagos markets like Tradefair, Alaba international etc cannot use Onne as they will have to transport the goods from Onne to Lagos which will require extra cost and waste time.
Moreover, not all goods can be taken to Onne. The Custom has made it mandatory that Pharmaceutical products must be brought into Nigeria through Lagos Seaports. Furthermore, there is the issue of security.
Onne is the den of kidnappers. Any business man or rich freight forwarder who operates from there is risking his life. Many shipping companies also does not berth at Onne due to the security issue. The pirates operating in the sea are even more than the criminals in the land.
Hence many ships destined for Onne Seaport usually end up at Lagos Seaports. That narrative must change, it is the same Atlantic Ocean bordering Lagos that also borders Onne and Warri. Except the authorities are enabling the security issues, I don't see why the Navy can't secure these areas |

Politics › Re: Why Did Atiku Fail To Get Bloc Votes From The North? by fr3do(m): 3:30am On Mar 12, 2023 |
Zincfingers: The LP's success was because of Tinubu's MM ticket. It unified the majority Christians behind Obi. The whole LP was orchestrated in Tinubu's bedroom in Bourdilon. Tinubu would consolidate his grip on Nigeria as soon as he's sworn in. First thing he'd do is to dismantle LP he created . Go figure! Lol The way agbado urchins hype tinubu he is not that smart |

I'm optimistic that with the result sheets on IREV, party agents and INEC, ObiDatti will reclaim their mandate in the courts.

PlayerMeji: In fact, what the ObidienDs are bringing into Nigerian politics is very dangerous and must be rejected by all.
Now the only thing needed to win any election in Nigeria is to claim that you are fighting for the Youth and the masses. No ideology!
If ObidienDs get into power, another group will come up with the same plan, telling the electorate that they are fighting for the masses...
Now there would be no clear cut ideologies that would form the base of any party... Unlike in saner climes, where they have two or max three political parties with very clear and known ideals. Democrats and Republicans come to mind in the US... APC did far worse, promised heaven and earth Hardly fulfilled anything |

ElSudani: Going by what we are witnessing right now in Lagos, Ahmadu Bello was right. Imagine one Chinyere saying "Lagos is ours we must take it back" Take it back from whom and when was Lagos ever hers? This posture is only meant to provoke Yoruba even when all we have done is welcome them like brothers. Who is Chinyere? Does Chinyere speak for all igbos in Lagos? How come you didn't talk about Yul Edochie's post where he said calling "Lagos no man's land" is wrong? Why can't Yul Edochie in your mind, speak for all igbos? Let us stop all these demonic tribalism, this is almost witchcraft. |

Politics › Re: Seyi Law Writes About What The 2023 Elections Have Taught Him. by fr3do(m): 7:32pm On Mar 05, 2023 |
franchasofficia: If Yorubas have anything called conscience, they ought to be wooing and apologizing to Igbos, but alas Yorubas are the ones screaming about tribalism, how?
Igbos are the only Nigerian tribe that have cheerfully and joyfully supported Presidential candidates from all other tribes since 1979.
In 1979, Igbos massively supported Shehu Shagari an Hausa man, leaving Nnamdi Azikiwe a famous Igbo son.
In 1993, Anambra people gave their vote to MKO Abiola a Yoruba man, leaving an Igbo son Sylvester Ugo who was contesting with Tofa.
in 1999 Igbos again abandoned Odimegwu Ojukwu and voted massively for Olusegun Obasanjo a Yoruba man.
Igbos repeated their massive support for Obasanjo again in 2003 leaving other Igbo contestants.
In 2007 Igbos massively supported Yaradua a Fulani man.
In 2011 Igbos supported Goodluck Jonathan an Ijaw man.
Igbos repeated the same massive support for Goodluck Jonathan in 2015, and even when Goodluck lost to Buhari, Igbos didn't abandon Goodluck like others did, instead Igbos stood defending Goodluck and became the number 1 enemy of Yorubas and Hausa-Fulanis just because of their defense for Goodluck.
In 2019, Igbos supported Atiku Abubakar another Fulani man.
For the first time in history of Nigeria, in 2023, Igbos saw quality in Peter Obi and decided to support Obi even against all odds of him winning under an unknown party, and the only thing Yorubas could do was tag it tribalism because Igbos didn't abandon another more qualified Igbo man to support an old, sick, corrupt Yoruba man called Tinubu.
Obi was busy telling Nigerians how he would change things for the greater good of all, while Tinubu and his supporters went about mocking Peter Obi that he is an IPOB agenda wasting his time and resources contesting under structureless party, that only Igbos would vote for Obi, bla bla bla, yet the same Yorubas are the ones accusing Igbos of tribalism for supporting Obi an Igbo man but Yorubas supporting only their Yoruba sons in Presidential elections doesn't mean tribalism to them.
A Yoruba man Obasanjo was President from 1999 to 2007, another Yoruba man Osinbajo is Vice President from 2015 to end in 2023. Meanwhile an Igbo man haven't occupied Presidential office nor Vice, still Yorubas took it upon themselves that 2023 Presidency is their turn again and instead of wooing and appealing to Igbos, they are threatening Igbos and calling Igbos tribalist for supporting an over qualified Igbo man for President in 2023.
No wahala, if una conscience no tell una that u guys are being wicked, inconsiderate and heartless towards Igbos, I strongly believe that God and the powers that control the affairs of man on earth will pay you Yorubas in your own coin, watch and see, it will only take time. Well said. The openess and freemindedness of the SE and SS in the political scene in Nigeria is commendable. I'm happy that I know yorubas and igbos that have broken from the shackles of tribalism |

Truth is, you guys have never supported yourselves, you're all traitors to yourselves. Despite Ojukwu's reverence, you guys left him hanging more than twice and you wanna use your treachery to score a cheap political point, go and ask your elders why they wouldn't support their own, don't bring your foolishness and half education on here. Soludo, and many of your supposed political elites didn't even support the fraud you all call candidate and you're pushing blames to us. Truth is, you guys are unfriendly, untrustworthy, and hateful. You see your narrow mindedness, so igbos not voting based on tribe is now treachery You can't make this stuff up |
