A post I put up on a thread here months ago.
I have modified it a bit here
read about the Ekumeku war where Anioma and present day Anambra communities unitedly fought against british colonial invaders.

Plenty plenty english ......just to dissociate themselves from "the vanquished".

Its all good.Dont worry,we,the "igbos" know there are consequences for loosing a War. We have come to terms with it,so please save your Queens english.
All these cowardly denials began only after the war.

Even if indeed they are not Igbo as they claim, it doesn't warrant the level of anti-igbo sentiments the average Igbo-denier has.
The most negative aftermath of the war is Igbo disunity.

ofcourse he is, I was just trying to correct that notion that the Urhobos and co are the 'real deltans'.

MisterLongman:
Why will Igbos say anything when he is not an Abokii.....
The Kachikwu guy is like a double-barreled as he is an igbo representing SS region

The guy is right to some extent....... The real deltans are not igbos that's why delta has two capitals (warri and asaba).......
It was the stupidity of IBB wanting to make asaba (his wife's hometown) the capital thereby merging the anioma groups and the real deltans from warri into a forceful union that caused the geographical expression called delta state today.......
The distance between warri and asaba is enough to tell you that there is no link between them.
the Urhobos, Itsekhiris, Isokos and co are not 'real deltans'
delta is an english word that means a scattered river mouth.
And we the Igbos are on the Delta as much as the Edoid groups are.

Notwithstanding, some of us are still pushing for Anioma state.

If Emefiele, Okonjo Iweala and Pat Utomi can be classified as Igbos,I don't see why Ibe Kachikwu can't be Igbo.

Congrats to Ndi Igbo for this meriting appointment by our darling president.
Having Biafra is better than producing the president of this country 3 consecutive times.

Why do some people always scream that we want Niger Delta oil whenever SE and SS are in the same sentence.

Proudly 5%....there u go, this is how to play opposition. You stand on what you believe in.

Now, you all do us all a favour.....when ministers list is out and you are only 5% we want you to remain proud and content. Dont start throwing tantrum and lamenting that you did not get representation or there is no equity. Remain proud all the way, not half-way!
when we feel marginalised and move for our republic, dont cry.

I know about Ika, I speak it a little. The truth is people from Ika and Ukwuani are actually confused and uncertain about their relationship with an Igbo identity, you could get some that would say they are Igbo, some would even say they're not Igbo they are "Ibo", and many who would act as if Igbo is a different ethnic group (and harbor strong anti-Igbo sentiment, like the rest of western delta areas, unfortunately). They're not actually sure where they stand, I say this because even the Obi of Owa, an Ika town that's even closer to Edo State than Abavo has confirmed that their history stems from what is now Anambra State. I find that the people who disclaim being Igbo usually don't have that 'Igbo spark' in them, they don't have that thing about them that you recognise when you see an Igbo person and even when some of them claim to be Igbo it doesn't always sit well. This makes more sense when you look in the history of these towns and find that a massive portion of the families that settled there were actually Edo people and not Igbo people, and were acculturated into a hybrid Edo-Igbo society.
we dont have to come from Anambra to be Igbos.
We are Igbos ourselves by virtue of our culture which has more than 85% similarity with say Igbo-Ukwu.
We also have similarities with the Binis, but these similarities are always taught to be indigenous to Bini due to the documentation of their history that potrays them as some ethnic Garden of Eden of the midwest.

We are probably aboriginal Igbos that came under rule by some expansionist Benin Oba, and our monarchs and royals originally could have been from Bini.
Culture › Re: Biafra Shocker!!! Sunday Oliseh Refused To Be called Igbo!!! See 0:35 - 0:40 by fr3do(m): 9:43pm On Aug 02, 2015
Denying being Igbo is not nearly as irritating as they claiming to be from Bini, the Edos as a whole are Yoruba loyalists and their ekaladeran folklore sentimentally binds them together.

The Igbos will henceforth desert him. Those he is trying to impress will eat with him with a long spoon because no matter what he tells them they still see him as Igbo. Now he will be left floating.I don't envy the ordeals that may follow him after this careless statement.
these Edoids and Yoruboids on this thread are saying Aniomas are not Igbos for political reasons, but lemme as an Ika N.E man run for an elective post in their community, and watch how fast they call me Igbos.
Culture › Re: Biafra Shocker!!! Sunday Oliseh Refused To Be called Igbo!!! See 0:35 - 0:40 by fr3do(m): 9:21pm On Aug 02, 2015
I will advise SEners insulting Aniomas who deny being Igbo, to exercise restraint.
Flinging insults at your Kinsmen will only be falling prey to divide and conquer tactics.

Let those denialers know that they claiming not to be Igbo has not helped them politically.

Your so-called narrative only exists in your bigoted and demented mind. We will always be your bosses anyday. You had better start drinking your oil coz in a few years it will be worth no more than water itself.
Pathetic divisive tactics

PPAngel:
You have a serious comprehension problem.

Adesina stated in that same source that:

Where the total global annual raw production is stated at $10bn worth, Adesina was speaking of the potential value of processing and exporting finished cocoa products which at the current capacity of 238,000 metric tonnes can generate $10bn if processed and exported.

Try get sense.

Nigeria did not see $10bn from raw cocoa exports rather Nigeria raw exports accounted for $10bn processed cocoa products produced and sold in the west.

Get sense or at least try
Wow nice analysis
