Op, I wonder what you will say now that a dollar is around 1600/1700 and a carton of indomie is 20,000, many foreign countries are leaving the country. You saw the future in 2020 and the truth is that it is not getting better, so more suffer ahead, so we may come back here in 2026 and say 2024 was far better. But if I may ask, are you still in Nigeria?

tensazangetsu20:
Nna men. As of when I wrote this, there were around 15000 jobs on LinkedIn Nigeria both tech and non tech and we complained. Today theres only 5000. A dollar was around 500 naira then and we complained. Now it's 850. Hmmmmm sad sad sad

Why did you change plugs without scanning? Those guys will drill a big hole in your pocket. I don't even go to them for little works like coil and plug replacement. I do it myself after scan

My brother e do me like film sef, i felt changing plug was just for routine checks, those guys always think person carry money dey waka go everywhere. Na after changing of plugs and cleaning injector that this misfiring started

Bro you car is misfiring heavily. All plugs or coil should be replaced.

My brother o, i tire for all these mechanics,Only the evaporative emission system code and that crankshaft code were first seen on scan the last time, then this mechanic suggest we also change all four plugs and he cleaned the injector with that can cleaner after the evaporative pipes were changed.

Then i rescanned back today, this misfire then showed, because i wasn't feeling any misfiring before atal, the movement was ok, just the massive consumption.

Now today we changed the number 1, 2 and 4 cylinder coil according to the scan... Just bought another 10litres to test again, the last 10litrs covered about 40km

Ok, but the odometer reading, is it miles or kilometer because that's where i read from, i check reading before leaving and reading when im back. See picture below

Dozieson:

Your car speed/mileage is calibrated in miles not kilometers

Car Talk / Re: Poor Fuel Economy by FrankValency(m): 4:51pm On Jul 30, 2023
Thank you, i will, kindly explain that number 4 well for me, i was lost in there...

Dozieson:

You have to do some check yourself.

1. Check the canister purge value to see if it is still functional

2. Check for vacuum leaks in your car. Those plastic hosts from the air intake

3. Check if your fuel tank is leaking

4. . Your car should be calibrated in miles. Could be 2.5l in 12miles=12*1.6=19.2km
19.2/2.5=

Omo, me I've been using 2.5 litres for 12km to and from work daily on Corolla 06, i never knew I was wasting money till this fuel subsidy issue, and someone told me he uses 1 litre for almost same journey, ive gone for computer test and it says, it's has evaporative emission system malfunction (small leakage) and they changed one pipe, still no much different, i feel like crying seeing you complaining you use only one litre for same journey.

Pls can someone advice me o,

I disagree with the work for free point. In this Nigeria? That's how you would remain for years working for free. Many be players simply have no conscience, when the person sees hunger and stares it on the face, nobody go tell am to talk to e legs.Again,do u live in Nigeria? Prices of everything has skyrocketed. Those that are even lucky to hsve a job paying small change find it hard to save something reasonable monthly;so you advise a person to surrender himself for free work?Sorry o.
my dear naija need drastic ways to get a job, I just got a job by offering free services for 2 months, and I was recommended by the manager and today, I earn my own salary

Work for free.
Yes it might sound absurd, but I said it right. I know it might be a very difficult decision to make, however if you offer to work for free for 3 months, ALOT might happen. And even if you don't get retained, no worries, you have learnt some new skills and have something to brag about in your resume.

A lady came to me that she needs a job and I told her that I cannot employ her at the moment (very unfriendly economy). However, I referred her to a friend who runs a computer engineering outfit...it's small, but they have a lot of clients. I told her that she might not get paid but at least she can learn how to fix computers. She happily went over to resume working. Three weeks after her resumption, a man walked in and after a brief conversation with her, he was impressed. "What did you study?", she told him she studied Environmental Engineering at Petroleum Training Institute (PTI). Instantly the man told my friend that he is going to "steal her" so she will work in his company.

Today she moves around with a Tundra truck and driver. The company has a running contract on Crude Oil Spill clean up. She landed herself a good job by offering to work for free. Now am not saying it will be rosy for all, but if you decid to work for free for the next 3 months, ALOT can happen.

More unconventional job searching strategies coming. Stay tuned.....
I got job this way
