It's probably working, and I won't be suprised it has been working in a long time but the info has been in wraps. I sought out confirmation from Stanley08, didn't get any reply.

First cue:
If you use Uber in Lagos, you'll have experienced extra charges using your GTB card. Uber acknowledged they were using DCC, which caused the variations and released a statement that cards from StanbicIBTC, Diamond, Skye and UBA worked perfectly.

So I went to Twitter to confirm and it was indeed true.

Second cue:
Heritage bank had stopped DCC sometimes last year but I received a message from them recently that they have a new monthly limit of $500 for DCC transactions. The banks are relaxing their policies and we'll probably see the likes of GTB too in the same vein.

Am I gonna try it out? Yes of course. Enough raping by these yeye banks.
