So, I got back from work yesterday and my wife was showing me 2 chivita exotic drinks, 5 cans of my brand of beer and a leg of freshly killed raw goat meat, I was like babe u win jackpot, what’s going on here, show me the way na? And She said it was my tenant that brought them for the celebration of his new car.
I was like no wonder when I drove into the compound I saw a car parked, I thought maybe it was a visitor.

So Immediately I went to his flat to congratulate and celebrate with him. As we were talking he said something and he said since he moved into my compound things have been going well for him especially in his business. I was really glad hearing those words and I said All Thanks to God . I also encouraged him to keep working hard and always pray to God for grace.

To me, there’s nothing special about my compound, I believe if u consistently work hard and smart u will get positive results.
na my wife dey even force me go church every Sunday, there’s no Sunday morning my wife don’t say “your mate are getting ready to take their family to church while you’re still on the bed.”

it baffles me. There’s no space in my doors. I have two entrances to enter my house, either from the kitchen entrance or the main entrance and both entrance has door net. I fixed door net to prevent mosquitoes because of my baby.

You can’t even see mosquitoes, cockroach or rat in my house.

I will have to fumigate my house. I’m so shocked right now.

By the God Grace i own my house, it’s a 2 apartment bungalow with a 3 bedroom flat each. I occupy the front flat while my tenant occupy the back flat. Everywhere in my house is neat and tiled including my compound, I’m not surrounded by bush, I even stay in an Estate but it’s still a mystery how this snake get into my house.

On my way back from work, I stopped by to pick my wife from her shop, as at 7:30 when we got home, I walked towards the small fridge in our dining room to grab some chilled beer, I noticed something fell from the cotton pole, the moment I shined the torch light, it was a black snake then it ran behind the fridge. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I shouted Jesus see snake. My wife carried my daughter and ran outside to the main gate. I could even hear her voice shouting “babe you must kill that snake, I’m not sleeping in that house if you don’t kill that snake”

Well, My tenant came to assist me and we finally killed the snake with sticks and stones. I’m a brave man

I’m so curious right now because you can’t see a cockroach or rat in my house not to talk of snake. How that snake got into my house is a mystery. My baby is almost one year and she crawls around.

Who else has experience this before? And what kind of snake is that? Is it venomous?

I'm using 3-4 months to illustrate the time frame to produce just an average movie.

Nollywood, the most useless and dullness thing in Nigeria. The poorly educated idiots writing their scripts can't act films on colonialism, civil war(I don't mean victimhood propaganda) actual historical events to teach young people their history. All they do is to be shouting Igwe up and down. Since I was born I have never seen a king but watching a Nigerian film you'd think there are Kings in every single street in Nigeria. No wonder young Nigerians are completely brainless and are among the dullest people in the world.

Nollywood financial budget is very low, they don't like to spend money on movies.

Do you know with 250k you can shoot your own movie? You can't compare nollywood to Hollywood movies.

Hollywood spend millions and billions of dollars to produce movies, they really understand what the viewers want. They also take their time (3-4 months) to act a movie. They use money to make more money.

But our Dear nollywood can use just 3 days to act their nonsense. Everything about them is cheap. They want to use 250k to make 30 million naira.

@Fred166 I laughed throughout your post, a lot of those Africa magic Nigerian movies are wack very very wack.
Sometimes I feel they are insulting the intelligence of the viewers.

There are good Nigerian movies though, watched some recently and I was impressed, the one I am targeting next is 'Anikulapo' by Kunle Afolayan his movies are top notch. I know I won't be disappointed and I love culture inclined movies.

You are right. There are good Nigerian movies.

But I can't remember the last time I watched a movie. I'm always busy. I don't even subscribe to the gotv in our room. My wife handles the gotv sub because she loves watching enough of those boring movies.

I only subscribe to the dstv in our sitting room, because I love watching football match and other sports on a weekend like this.

Most nigerian movies can be so meaningless. You can even fathom the message they are trying to pass. Always acting meaningless scripts with funny titles.

We also have a TV in our bedroom, so my wife was watching a Nigerian movie while I was working on my office files.

I can't even puzzle out the excitement in that movie. All I was hearing is some lousy actors making noise and the poor suspense sound track. You need to see my wife looking so tensed & serious, flapping her both hands like a bird that is about to fly while screaming “enter the car drive! drive! drive!

I said Aunty easy o, Then I asked her the title of the movie, she said "The pregnant ghost". I said pls came again, you say? She didn't answer then I picked up the remote to check the title then booom!! The pregnant ghost

I was just laughing seriously, I've to capture it. then I asked her whether she have seen a ghost before not to talk of a pregnant one? And she said what! If I want to know if ghost dey carry belle that I should join her and watch the movie too.

I jejely carried my office files and my laptop, walk straight to the sitting and continue my job. Because if I talk otherwise about that movie na problem for me and I don't want her wahala this night.

Then she asked where am I going? I said this movie is so interesting and it's making me loose focus on the work I'm doing, so I'm going to the sitting room were I can concentrate.

Abeg, those of you that watch this kind of movie, please what are the moral lessons?

I was watching who wants to be a millionaire and this particular question was thrown to this guy.. I couldn't believe the guy didn't know the answer. Baba was totally confused and speechless. I can't do without watching sports especially football, boxing and wrestling. There's no question you will throw at me about football or other sport games that I won't give you an accurate answer. I know all football leagues competition round the world even Nigeria premier league I do follow up too.

Football is fun especially when you're arguing, teasing, defending, laughing, throwing banters at each other's club while drinking your cold beer.

Even here on nairaland when there's a live match update, I do visit the thread because I always enjoy the banter fans throw at each other.. It really fun.

I've invested in my wife's business so much, I also motivate her, she rely on her regularly customers, so I do motivate her to get more customers. (this is where her laziness comes in, she ready stay house frm morning till night watching TV) so I do motivate her to be hardworking.

Yet, she can't do a little favor by accepting my offer. Mind you I've the 100k but I stand with 50k.

How will my sister feel, if I tell her to go learn baking somewhere else?

Another thing is, making people pay helps to keep them on their toes. They would want to get value for their money and as such they would be committed to the learning. When it is free, you see them strolling in with their useless and dusty slippers by 11am.

If at all you insist on paying 50k, make her see reasons with you. That you provided equity doesn’t mean you should ruin her business with your personal sentiments. Next you would bring your sidechick and price 20k.

My younger sis just rounded up her NYSC, she told me she would like to learn how to bake cake and other small chops like chin chin, puff puff, donut, egg rolls, sausage rolls, e.t.c.. from my wife. Indeed my wife a pro in baking.

I told her that's not a problem, I will inform my wife about it. I even told my sister to come over to my house this weekend because definitely she would be staying with us.

When I discussed it with my wife she said my sister would have to pay, that she's not running a charity organization... I was really mad at her.

She said she would collect 100k (for 6 months learning) from my sister, and she is doing that because of in-law stuff... That I should go and ask her clients currently learning in her school how much she charges.

I offered my wife 50k. She rejected it, she said it won't be enough to buy baking utensils not to talk of baking ingredients. Mind you she sells baking utensils and ingredients.

She also said she issue her clients certificate when they're done learning, she refers customers to them as well...

Please note: I have invested heavily in her business, Infact it was my money she used in starting up her business. Yet she refused to help my sister even with the 50k I offered.

Please is this proper? Is she being greedy? It's really causing serious problem between us. I'm so angry. My younger sister is not even aware of what is happening right now.
