Sixteen years old Shugaba Abraham Wuta was born on 18 May 2001 in Michika Adamawa State. When Shugaba started his Secondary School education in Mubi LGA Adamawa State (hometown of former Chief of Defense Staff Alex Badeh) in the 2010, little did he know that boko haram will displace him and his family. In the year 2014, boko haram captured Mubi town forcing residents to flee making him to drop out of school. Dreams were shattered.One day, while waiting for government assistance and other aid as an IDP, he cried out to his mom "mama I want to go back to school,please relocate me to your sister's house in Kaduna". Subsequently, he was moved to Kaduna where his aunt secured him admission in Joy International College (JIC) Kaduna State.

Within his 1st year in JIC, Shugaba represented Kaduna State in Mathematics competition where he emerged 3rd position overall. He continued to pursue excellence and recently he made yet another record in the 2017 UTME. He made a jaw dropping score of 321. What a fantastic performance by a candidate from the impoverished Boko Haram infested North East, poor educational background and psychologically traumatised.

Shugaba is aspiring to become a Pilot or Computer Engineer. He enjoys reading, computing and watching movies.

This young man is from Michika in Adamawa State. He started his Sec Sch in Mubi, Adamawa State but was transferred to Joy International College Kaduna after Bokoharam captured Mubi town in 2014. He has scored 321 in 2017 Jamb exams. Could this be the highest score from northern Nigeria? How many more Nigerians out there in NorthEast have Bokoharam terrorism denied them the opportunity of competing and excelling in academics starting from primary sch to sec sch, university and colleges?
