Career › Re: Why Nigerian Graduates Are Jobless And What To Do About It by Freiburger(m):
nigflue: Time has change and you have not
Time has change and yet people have not. Education of the 21st century is to give us an edge, but doesn’t guarantee success. The truth is our school system keeps training us to acquire job and nothing more (am not against school) and the jobs are not there.

We’re in a period and time of opportunities and all you need is the information that will take you to the top. Use your education to make you smarter and wiser. In other words, you need more than a school certificate to succeed.
So in other to compete and be relevant, you need to change your thinking and that’s the best place to start. Develop yourself with relevant information and the sky will be the beginning.
You are right on this one, Imagine someone hunting for a job after spending 5 or 6 years in a Nigerian University studing Business Administration, Trying new things is always a no go area to most Nigerians, it either the new things are against the religion or against the tradition. But again, the government is not doing enough to encourage young graduates into thinking towards self-reliant, although i 've seen cases where some state governors are handing out cash to first class graduates, what happens to the second class degree holders? another sign of neglegence by the government. There should be a ligislation that could pressureize the banks to start giving out loans to graduates who are willing to try new things.
Not untill everyone adjust the viewing range, things will always remain the same.

Everyday is so wonderful
Then suddenly
It's hard to breathe
Now and then I get insecure
From all the pain
I'm so ashamed

I am beautiful
No matter what they say
Words can't bring me down
I am beautiful

Science/Technology › Bright Explosion On Moon Visible From Earth, NASA Says by Freiburger(op): 7:08am On May 20, 2013
May 17, 2013: For the past 8 years, NASA astronomers have been monitoring the Moon for signs of explosions caused by meteoroids hitting the lunar surface. "Lunar meteor showers" have turned out to be more common than anyone expected, with hundreds of detectable impacts occurring every year.
They've just seen the biggest explosion in the history of the program.
"On March 17, 2013, an object about the size of a small boulder hit the lunar surface in Mare Imbrium," says Bill Cooke of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office. "It exploded in a flash nearly 10 times as bright as anything we've ever seen before.

He that is down needs fear no fall,
He that is low no pride;
He that is humble ever shall
Have God to be his guide.

I am content with what I have,
Little be it or much;
And, Lord, contentment still I crave
Because Thou savest such.

Fulness to such a burden is
That go in pilgrimage;
Here little and hereafter bliss
Is best from all to age.
