You can do Adult classes or part time, not necessarily full time & it gives u opportunity to live off Campus...

i did my 1st degree in French. usually if you are studying french, year 3 is what we call 'year abroad'.
your year one and two is done in nigeria. year 3 , must be done in a francophone country chosen by your institution.
My institution chose Cote D'ivoire for us then.
you then come back home to do your final year.

I want to believe you are going to Universite de Cocody (C.U.E.F. am I correct?)for your french studies. Cocody and Riviera are highbrow areas of Abidjan. The cost of getting accommodation there would just be too high for you as a student.
I went for my french studies there in 2001, what i did was to rent a room in the hostel. You will come across Ivorian students ready to rent their accommodation. This will help you a lot. you will be having the ivorians as room mates and neighbours so you have no choice but to speak the french you came to learn. so when you learn theory in class you do practical in the hostel.
This was what i did, and i never regretted it.
As at 2001 i paid 10,000 cfa per month for the hostel accommodation. This particular accommodation is just two people sharing a room. you have a bathroom inside your room for both of you. while the toilet is in the passage where about 20 rooms sharing i think 6 -8 toilets.

this was the one i paid for.

but there is another type of room. like a self contained. where just two people sharing a toilet and a bathroom. as at then, this one goes for 25,000 cfa per month.

There you are. The choice is yours.
