We can catch FTA channels from so many different countries so why is it so hard to watch local TV?I simply sum it up as an advanced case total negligence on the part of the government on the yearnings of the populace. |
This is a reference thread for very hard to comeby info..be warned |

Toneyo: @Freshp. Whats the prices for 69x 69z. And their differences.since you are in lagos(got that from your profile. . . ) the i think the price range of 69x,xii,and z will be in the range of 12,500 to 15,00 naira, the ones i have mentioned are all Mpeg-4 compliant while the 63x is mpeg-2. hope that helps. |
@Toneyo you will be better off with a 69Xii or 69z. Do not go for a 63x thats rather old a device by now. |
Akinige: @freshp,tanxs for explanation, but how wuld i know dat d software is unzippedits rather easy bro, just look at the name of the file and it should end with something like".zip or.rar.then it is zipped you will now need tools like winrar or winzip or 7zip to extract it. i prefer the last one since it is free and small in size. just go to www[dot]7zip[dot]org.(i had to write like this cos i have a way of getting banned here when i post links ) |
Akinige: pls my ppus, is it possible to copy software from my email on my phone and copy it memory card, then use card reader to transfer it to my decoder. pls anybody wit dis xperience sud share it for meIt is absolutely possible . . but you need to be sure that the file downloaded from your phone is not corrupted else you will fry your decoder. . . make sure it is unzipped first . . .all the best. |

Obascoetubi: Can i track hotbird with 1.8m (non motor dish)? I live in kogi stateObascoetubi, welcome aboard my fellow kogite,as per your question . . . well auchs: @obascoetubi. A capital no. You cant catch the bird with 1.8m antenna. You need 3.5 dish for maximum enjoyment of the bird or at least a 3m antenna can do.Auchs I beg to differ, it can actually be nailed, but a BIG but you wont hit all the frequencies . . .i know this cos it been done. |
Bugs1234: @jimohbello, u see wat i was talking, the gurus here are 2 proud to answer a simple question, instead they wil punish u by referring u backwards. For w6 u need not less than 1m to track it well except u are in lagos u can try it wit 90cm, for w3c just raise ur 60 to 90cm dish a little above dstv position, like 2 inches above dstv position. Its in dstv line but above.Bugs, in the first place i want you to know that there are no "gurus" here who as you claim are too proud to answer questions . . .what the "gurus' want is to encourage people to read to grow in the field!!! when someone just comes here and ask questions that have already been answered a zillion times . . .and in the wrong thread for that matter . . what do you expect?!?! . . .it simply just means that the fellow does not want to learn the basics.dont tel me that the fellow who finds his way here cannot navigate the forum. . .dont tell me that. you claim you can answer all questions in your "forum" why not start here...i bet you after 15 or so iterations you will begin to feel the same way we feel. you cant change a system by doing the same thing!!! so stop being a stylish marketer and learn from the "gurus" my 50 cents anyway. |

@Pboy, For some reasons i cant quite fanthom out w3a is somewhat elusive on mesh dishes.trust me i know what im saying.i hope some one tells us better @pidzo, Thanks for the info, timely i must say. |
@auchs You have just said my mind, may the dieties see them through. |
@auchs its not only u thats having such a pain tracking these 9ja stations. apparently all local providers have just conspired to make life a living hell for us, why else would they choose birds that are just elusive for most 9jerians? as far as my location is concerned i have not been able to nail the two birds of l8t.Gone are the days of AIT on 18 deg west. so untill things improve, well just have to live with this anomaly(pardon my pun). |
