@swordswifter such laudable feats as yours need to be encouraged, the problem we are having over here in this part of the world is the seemingly scarce technical (both software and hardware) materials required to forge ahead when the fever grips you-you know what i mean .i really thank you for that very educative post above...keep it up. |
olenyi: Why is this place now filled with people asking the same question over and over again? Now you know how most of us feel about this ubiquitous rhetoric never ending circle of questions.... ![]() |
Jackobite: The long awaited etv africa is back on mytv line-up,hope it will be as GOOD as before keep ur eye tinted!More information is needed here...scrambled,FTA,CCCamed or whatelse... ![]() |
twinskenny: @George great job there my man.. nw u can shoot down any bird at will..you are so right there bro. ![]() @George_D this is just another beautiful Plus to the world of FTA.I'm so impressed . . . so so impressed...this reminds me of my days in kaduna...those boys are so good at such stuff...well done sir keep it up. |
mwarawaa: same case here bro. our kenyan channels are scattered all over and you need 1.8 m dish to get a stable cband signal. Now yours like Us here is one peculiar funny case...we receive virtually all your stations here in nigeria...hmm wait a minute . .i hope its not an inter country conspiracy thing ![]() |
olenyi: Then why would they bring up our hopes only to go ahead and dash it again. My brother , the situation is so tiresome ..imagine all our west and east african brothers having their stations beaming to them and receivable with as low as 60m dishes....while we here in nigeria have to go the extra mile to receive our own channels...and they even allow third party vendors to sell what should be free to us . .what kind of country are we in. DAMN FRUSTRATING IF I MUST SAY!!! |
@olenyi, No. It seems our initial optimism about that Nigerian Mux may have been misplaced. Either it has moved or the dBW of that TP is so low as not be of any use to us here in these parts. This is so frustrating!
@olenyi@George_D i thought as much..because after trying everything including your suggestions i still could not nail it so i had to ask another guru here(swordswifter) he told me it was just not worth the effort cos it was like the beam was meant for europe...Its just so frustrating to quote you.sorry i did not update the house earlier on. |
@Swordswifter Sorry for my l8 reply, please comtinue the tutorials...its just that my internet connectivity is not stable these days...i promise to follow up asap.thanks for beleiving in me..VIVA FTA. |
swordswifter: lol @ Lunsat@Sword, well i quite agree with you ...but guys like me joined the board very late in time and such would not have been able to scavenge for such information (something i know how to do well )so for the sake of some of us ...i wish you could help out bro . . remember you have always been very good to me(much appreciate it always )so please bro all help is needed.however if you still feel the same after all these . . i understand . . . ![]() thanks for the info and good work here. . |
If its below 36°E then you should be able to name the bird na ![]() |
@odilibe, Back in the days, it used to be that we were all out hunting for the latest keys to open Showtime, ART packages, etc. In fact I bought my starsat decoder specifically for that purpose. However, it didn't take me long to discover that there was nothing special in all those locked channels we were all killing ourselves to watch. The same excitement you derive from a free MBC2 station is what you get from a locked Granada station. And, once you allow yourself to be sucked into this whirlpool of darkness, it never ends. You always have to be on your toes looking for the latest softcam, the latest dongle, the latest biss, the latest CCW, etc. It becomes a cat and mouse game of scrambled today, unlocked tomorrow and vice versa. This in my opinion is not what FTA should be about. With clean FTA you don't have to worry about your favorite stations been scrambled. You don't have to waste precious time hunting for keys all over the internet. You don't have to face the embarrassment of explaining to that eagle-eyed neighbor of yours why the champions league match he came to watch in your house suddenly went off and with the decoder showing $$$ signs. You don't have to spend so much on internet subscriptions (that you don't need) just for the sake of keeping that little badger updating your CCWs for you. I could go on but I'm sure you get my drift.
WORD!!!! |
I Hacked: two year old boy will do or have idea to look at satellite name and look at the channels and frequency on the picture to knowI hacked you are adviced to please mind your language...in the 1st place your pictures are not clearly visible from a basic handset, secondly your decoder is not that a familiar one... So excuse me for saying this how do you expect everybody to know what you are aiming at from a mere picture? You are no stranger to the plethora of repeated questions that plague this forum...so why the outburst...na bro its not right...so just take caution okay? |
Ilish: new goodies with African Beam....I keep getting invalid frequency.. ![]() |
Beraphiu: install Amos 5 and getGuy take a goodlook here . . have yOu seen any one posting phone numbers here . . . you must be at the wrong place TempestAngel: pls, i Need frequencies and positions of free to air channels in nigeria(apart from Mytv, Dstv, multitv)@OP WETIN NA ARE YOU TELLING ME YOU CANT READ!!!! |
roman001: dt means ur 49z is mpeg2 .wots ur infinity signal%I beg to differ the 69Z is Mpeg4 Setoop: i blindscan with 4922 , i get consat test transmition on 11293 H 45000 wt 90cm and the channels are from TV continental in Nigeria , but i did the same blindsearch wt 4969z and i couldn't get it , my question is this ; does it mean all the station are HD ? And could not be picked with decoder which is not HD ?i still think it is a little far fetched . . . on my 69x . . i nailed channels like high tv(which is HD) on amos5 with audio only for obvious reasons....so the 69z should be able to nail the channels easily but only audio. so in the end i think its a different problem all together. |
@freshp, Intelsat 904 is a circular polarised satellite and as such you need a di-electric inserted in the LNB throat to track it. After ensuring you have inserted the di-electric plate properly, change R to V on your decoder. Thus the frequency for Channels TV becomes 3745v 18313sr. Try tracking again and see how it goes. P.S: Remember the LNB skew should be in the 10 o' clock position, facing EAST.
@George_D i hear you loud and clear . .do you know that Intelsat 902 equally has those type of peculiar channels yet i'm nailing them with ease(i already have a die -electric inserted properly maybe my LNB scew is the problem . . i'll check that out when i get home...(posting from office) once again thanks for aid and information. VIVA FTA. |
@All, Things just got better on C BAND satellites! Channels TV, Silverbird TV, MITV, Soundcity Premium, Lagos TV now live and free on Intelsat 904 at 60E! Those on motorised should check out 3745R 18313sr or you can just blindscan if you're on that satellite. Wao! I never thought I'd see the day! Welcome to the Nigerian Mux! I did try to nail the bird today with out success . . .does it have to do with my C-Band LNB-F (inserted die-electric?),because i noticed i find it difficult nailing birds with R and L cyclic polarities. more information needed here. |
...... Abeg no let my oga at the top hear say na me tell you oooooooo!
![]() good one George D |

I Hacked: bro you have to read a lot have been said about it any way 11055 V 07500 would do or 11068 V 07500i cant wait o o AMOS5 will become the numero uno of FTA in these parts. |
rapthugx: Pls Help I get some free channels @36.0E wit tpthey may look free to you but as long as they are in that position just forget it . . D**V will not allow them to beam as FTA. . they may come up from time to time as temporary FTA . . .thats just it ...hope this HELPS |
kingmayah: @ Simniboma... Tnx Bro, now I understand what u mean. But can I as well use my MTN internetlink as my dongle?yes you can but i think you must cracked it beforehand to use it . |
princepet: Good people of NL, FTA thread, am seeing the following satellite on my decoder and I can see that am only using 76.5E INTELSAT 7, 1 -3.708 for myTV and one other 4 MultiTV. Please I want the house to take a good look @ my list and tell me which ones I need especially for SPORTS and Movies, 4 now all am getting is CHURCH channels with 2 semi-sport channels,am highly expecting lots of responses.bro you will need to do a little reading because not all that you ave on the list corresponds to the current sat names.... |
