fkj950ax: The B1/B2 Visa is valid for 5 years with multiple entry. You can't stay as much as you want on a visit or entry, because CBP or I94 is restricted to 6 months per entry. You should use your first entry as stated in your application, though circumstances change. If you stay as much as you want - 8 weeks, 9 months, 2 years - on a single visit/entry, then what happens to your job, business and/or school you said you have in Nigeria (profile) when you applied or at your interview? Your renewal or subsequent immigration plans with the US will be judged based on all you do. Hi Guys Good morning Please still on this visiting visa stuff, I'm meant to know that it has a validity of 5 years with multiple entries of 6 months each. 1) So if I go for a 1 week conference and stay for maybe 5 months then return back to Nigeria. I hope I'm still safe and it's not a red flag for next time 2) Since it has multiple entries, 6 months each for a period of 5 years, does it mean next time I want to use the visa I don't need to go to the embassy for a visa approval again. I just need to book my flight and go? Please I need honest answers from people that know well about it |

JustMellow: Hello FreshStarz,
Many graduates opt for the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma because it bridges the academic knowledge of professionals in an alien field of study i.e. A Biotechnologist could decide to study Quality Assurance Management, a Nurse intending to study Toxicology, a Software Engineer wanting to study Digital Marketing or Business Data Analysis, etc. It also denotes a program progression. Some professional programs not available in PGD/C could be available in PBD depending on the needs of the student's professional development.
Best Wishes! Thanks So it is not a red flag to apply for it as an international student? |

fkj950ax: 5 years Hello Please If I go for a visitors visa with the excuse that I'll stay for 2 weeks in the states and it's granted, does it mean that if the 5 years validity is given, that I can stay long as much as i want, well into that 5 years and there will be no issues.... ? |

What's PAL please? JustMellow: Hello Kamsi99,
If she is studying in a college, she'll need to include the PAL before reapplying. She shouldn't proceed without it. Otherwise, the application will be withdrawn.
Best Wishes! |

Aussie2doc: Just disregard those hammering on your invitation letter. It has no bearing. No one cares. You will not get EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT BASED ON CONFERENCE even if you are the organizer. Conference is never an impromptu stuff. It is just like wedding invitation. You will never get emergency appointment even if you are the father of the bride and the groom makes emergency proposal. They believe proper conference would have been planned a year or more ahead . Therefore, fill the forms, get a date which will likely be long. When the date is close, update your CGI form. If you have a new conference you want to attend at that time, update it. If you don’t have, change plans to tourism. If you really qualify for US visa, it doesn’t matter whether you book hotel for tourism or you register to attend a conference. Those things are very very secondary. Thanks |

OyoTunjiUSA: Hey 🤠
1. Imagine you are going to an exclusive wedding party inside ASO ROCK and you got to Gate 1 and met with soldiers (bouncers ) at the gate . The first question they will ask you is " Who invited you here ? OR Where is your invitation letter ?
2. My friend , that invitation letter is 100% important to you , therfore keep it jealously . Your 1st step is to go and pay your MRV quickly . 2nd step is to fill your DS 160 and be certain that it display your photo at the end of the final submission.
3. Listen ! You can get that July appointment via Emergency application. Naturally, going for conference falls under Buisness Emergency and the only tool you will use to apply for it is that invitation letter . Now tell me , is that invitation letter 100% useful or not ?
4. Don't dance to your favourite song yet. That invitation letter must present you as a hyper -important attendee whose absent in the conference might affect the conference outcome. The letter has to place you in a MUST ATTEND position (Business Emergency).
Best Wishes 🙏 Thanks |

fkj950ax: An invitation letter has no bearing on your application. It is not step 1. Just be detailed in your DS160 application (which is Step 1) Thanks |

Lekiboboe: The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) in Canada is a significant factor for international students when choosing a school. Here are some reasons why international students may avoid schools in Canada that don't offer PGWP:
1. **Work Opportunities:** The PGWP allows international students to work in Canada after completing their studies. Institutions not offering PGWP is less attractive as students value the opportunity to gain Canadian work experience.
2. **Canadian Experience:** Many students see the PGWP as a pathway to gain Canadian work experience, which can be crucial for those considering applying for permanent residency or exploring long-term career opportunities in Canada.
3. **Post-Study Settlement:** PGWP facilitates the transition from studying to working and potentially obtaining permanent residency. Students often prefer institutions that support this process.
4. **Economic Considerations:** Having the ability to work in Canada post-graduation can help international students offset their living expenses and contribute to their financial well-being.
5. **Competitive Advantage:** Graduates with Canadian work experience have a competitive edge in the job market. Institutions offering PGWP are more appealing to students who prioritize gaining a foothold in the Canadian workforce.
6. **Long-Term Plans:** Students planning to stay in Canada long-term may be deterred from institutions that don't offer PGWP, as it aligns with their aspirations for settling in the country.
7. **Networking Opportunities:** Access to the Canadian job market during the PGWP period provides students with valuable networking opportunities, which can be crucial for career advancement.
8. **Enhanced Educational Experience:** Students may view PGWP as an extension of their educational experience, enabling them to apply their skills and knowledge in a real-world setting.
In a nutshell, it's advisable for an international student to always go for a school that offers PGWP Thanks |
