Business › Re: Dangote Refinery Will Fetch $6bn Forex Yearly - CBN by freshvine(f): 3:13pm On Jan 11, 2016
obailala:
Dangote is a businessman and he will site his business at the most convenient economic location where he will make maximum profit. Who knows, if he had sited it somewhere in the creeks he would have spent half of the capital cost settling youths and also dealing with periodic vandalism of his facilities whenever some misguided youths think they need some extra payouts. Some months back, the same Dangote suffered the loss of 4 of his trucks at Onitsha because some animals thought the best way to get back at the government of an Hausa man was to burn the trucks of another Hausa man. I don't think Dangote as a businessman would be comfortable siting his business in the SE filled with people who hate him just because of his tribe.

Similarly, just last week we heard of the idiotic Uvwie youths in warri who vandalised the shoprite mall for absolutely no reason. That simple mall since its commissioning had restored a bit of life to Warri, a city which has been desolate since the bad leadership of the state allowed a multinational like Shell to leave. If I was an investor, even if I'm from that area, I wouldn't site my business at a location where I would be given high BP.

I think quite a good volume of oil is produced in Ondo and a soon to be commissioned field in Lagos, although not anywhere close to the planned 650,000 barrels/day. But don't forget the refinery will buy the crude oil it will refine; the crude will not be given free of charge and at least we wouldn't have the problem of looking for who to buy Nigeria's crude any more. If When the refinery comes on stream, it will absolutely change the dynamics of the Nigerian economy in the positive direction. I don't care where it is sited or who takes home the profit. The effects would be felt by all Nigerians.
My dear I don't care where Dangote sites his numerous industries. My problem is the government giving him soft landing and the concessions of public utilities to him through the back door. Imagine the government telling us the will grant him monetary facilities when government companies in that regard is in comatose.

Government had also keep competition for him making him operate a monopoly in a free economy. Imagine how the present government is frustrating Ibeto cement to give him monolithic leverage on the economy.

This moniker that just posted what you're reading now is being used by husband and wife.

If you're smart you'd know when He or She is contributing.

He was a long time nairalander but deactivated, introduced She and She opened this account but He hijacked it. Both He and She uses it but She always fight He because He spends so much time on Nairaland than with She.

The hausa man that went to build Refinery in Lagos, has Yoruba land started producing crude or he intend refining groundnut oil?

Why not build the Refinery in the area of local source of raw materials and trunk it to Lagos using Tank farms for distribution?

What injustice? Did I tell them to partake in 'thiefery"? Jafaru surrendered N100million with promise to return N70 million and was released. Olisa Metuh and Dokpesi should do likewise.

Which contract did Metuh and Dokpethief did for FG? Was there a bid for any contract? Is FG money the same as PDP money? Abeg jare

PS: I don't support crooks. I support them to face justice

Animal, did he do any job for the government to qualify to receive such money?

... and he went ahead to collect without question?

That man should be arrested immediately for aiding and abetting corruption.

The should support the Orient Refinery in Anambra to come on stream.

They should support Innoson Motor to improve.

They should revive the Petrochemical plants at Onne.

They should do a Turn around maintenance on the Nations refineries and privatised them.

Hausas, Fulanis and their slaves downtown south has sold Nigeria into the hand of one man.

Is Dangote the only businessman in Nigeria?

Sylva didn't 'allow' Lokpobiri take his place, like you say it. Sylva never had a place in PMB's cabinet, to begin with.

If we are being honest with ourselves, we would agree that PMB was never in support of Sylva, probably because of his corruption cases. PMB never publicly supported Sylva, neither did he campaign for him. In fact, in recent time, there hasn't been any meeting between them. PMB has clearly distanced himself from him. So, those who keep saying that PMB tried to rig the election for Sylva, are just being mischievous, trying to spread falsehood.
Timipre Sylva was Buhari's chairman on his transition committee if my memory serves me right

Yeah sure. Islam has prevented them from immorality and sinful living. On the other hand, christianity has failed to prevent its adherents from such things. Or rather, you people have thrown away the teachings of your religion for the pleasures of this world. So pray tell me, what is so refined about the southern guys? Is it their ability to use a lady and dump her once they realised that the thing has gone slack and go look for a fresh one?
One thing that pains me is that most of these pretty ladies due to lack of eligible sophisticated guys go into marriage with one Alhaji who already have several wives.

I heard Amaechi fly into Rivers last week on a chattered jet with cache of Ammunition in preparation for Rivers reruns.

I beleive this an aftermarket security device. One of the reason I don't recommend any to my client. The aftermath is always ridiculous. Locate the device and if you know where its power had been outsourced from you can cut the wire off. But before you do this take off the negative terminal of your car's power source (battery)

Note : do not leave the key in the ignition while taking the negative terminal off so as not to put your car into lock mode
Yes it's aftermarket. Thanks for the heading.

Please I need guide to do it yourself with the security feature of a 1999 Toyota camry. The security system Saca model was installed some years back but stopped working on it own due to God knows what. Yesterday it activated itself with the nauseating blaring noise and it cannot be stopped with the fob because the central lock system of the car is no longer functional.

When the car stop blaring, the security indicator light flashes and that I presume prevent the car from starting.

How do I disconnected the security system permanently myself since the car is parked kilometers away from rewire help?

This is such a big shame. Are we running a Throcratic or Democratic system of government in this country??

Government should have absolutely nothing to do with building places of worship, be it a church, mosque or a shrine.

Was really disappointed when I saw that built by Okorocha. I expect gullible Nigerians to applaud them on this useless venture which should be no business of theirs.
It do baffle me.
Government whether state or federal should stop promoting religion. The should allow the various religion function independently without interference. It is even worst in northern Nigeria where the state governors are busy erecting places of worship and promoting Islamic doctrine.

Imagine promoting sharia in a secular state.
Sponsoring of Islamic pilgrim with state funds.
The use of Islamic symbol on national identity etc
