God has no respect of persons.
He has exalted His word above all things. He can not go against His word.

Having a sin nature is what makes you a sin.
The sin nature is broken instantly at salvation but living in line with your new nature takes time (based on the cultivation of a close walk with God's spirit and His Word). 1 John says IF we sin,not WHEN we sin. God expects his saints to mature into a life where sin does not dominate their lives.
However, God does not love you any more because you are not sinning than when you sin. His love is everlasting. Nothing,absolutely nothing changes that. His love is prodigal and scandalous. If you grasp a bit of how deep his love is,you will hate sin with every fibre of your being. Not the opposite.

There need to be a balance.

The flesh will never stop desiring to sin.
The true fight of every believer, is the fight to remain in control over the flesh. The fight to Live by the Spirit.
That is the true fight of faith!

I got angry reading an old thread I contributed to this morning. The thread is about grace Vs obeying God's law. What is it with the gospel of grace that is unable to save anyone that we preach all around today? Why do we take one part and leave the other part that involves we living up to what we profess?

You claim God has saved...how do we know God has saved you if we don't see fruits of righteousness at work in you?

Reading scriptures this morning, I see a lot of contradictions between scriptures and what we preach out there. Many are expecting a Jesus that will rub their heads and give them bear hugs when he appears.

chris baba: Dude, ure right, but prophecies re also meant to warn nd prevent coming evils, maybe you need to know that jeremiah never brought any good news to the isrealites. Prophecies re relative "if you will be willing and obidient you will eat the fruit of the land" so if ure not then these sorts of prophecies are meant to setve as warning. Read revelations too, tje letters to the 7 churches, it was mostly of evils to come if you dont sit up. Jes wanted you to take two sides and not base ur expression on only a portion of the bible.( prophecies re meant to edify truly, but individuals interpretations determine if he would allow it edify or discourage him).

I get your point, but look at my posts again, prophecy that does ANYTHING OTHER than what the Word of God says it does IS NOT FROM GOD.

Even when it is "warning" it draws the hearer close to God with LOVE not FEAR. Fear is an evil spirit.
And of what use is it to Mr. A if God is warning Mr. D and I decide to tell Mr. A, B, and C?

Compare the supposed prophecy with the story of Hezekiah:

You tell me if what you just read and what the op posted as prophecies are the same.
Did you see Isaiah announcing to the NATION that Hezekiah the king will die?

At the bolded, here's what prophecy does to the hearers:

I gave you several translations to show you the same thing: PROPHECY IS FOR EDIFICATION, EXHORTATION AND COMFORT.

To strike a balance, all those, "someone is receiving a new car today prophets and members" are also in error.

Prophecy, even when calling a man from sin and darkness, instills faith, courage and hope to come back to God rather instills fear.
Fear is not of God, it's of the devil and any preacher who uses same is not of God either.

1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

One thing is certain from all these so called prophecies, it's not based on the Word of God.

The demon inside the little girl in Acts of the Apostles that Paul rebuked spoke "truth" yet Paul rebuked the spirit in her and we are told it's a fortune telling demon.
Check the old testament and you will see it existed far back.

I recommend you pick up a bible, say a simple prayer like "God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God and Father of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I do not know or believe in you but I ask that you reveal yourself to me I pray".
Say this daily and begin reading the Bible from Genesis even if it's 10mins a day.
It may be hard but I beg of you to try it.

The reason MANY BELIEVERS will be deceived in the last days is the fact that they have no foundation in the word.
Many have their foundation in religion, denomination, works, philosophies, self, experiences, pastors and their messages, leaders of their church etc.
The bible is our only foundation and anything other than the scriptures will crumble.

Jesuits have made me to understand life exactly as it is. Nothing can make me sad nor happy. My happiness should not be dependent on any thing. Jesus will deny you on the last day if you opress the poor and the less priviledge. He will deny you even if you are a pastor, priest, pope, imam, general overseer, bishop etc if you neglect the poor. The wicked will ask Jesus "when did we see you hungry and did not give you food. When did we see you in prison but did not visit you etc" You know the answer.

If our so called "good and true christians" can do just what Christ wants, there would be no ASUU strike. The president and many of our politicians are "born again" and recieves blessings and prayers from many "men of God" and yet our country is confused. USA is made up of many atheists and yet things are better and the less priviledged are cared for. What an irony.

Be not deceived, good works is not a sign of being with Christ.

Call me a radical Christian, but my experiences in life have shaped me and my belief. I believe in God, because I have personally experienced in and have a 1 on 1 relationship with him. I believe in Jesus Christ & the bible (to some extent) because that these have been indoctrinated into me and fed my belief. But I do not believe Christianity is the only way to God.

At this point it is safe to say you are not saved and in darkness. Worse still you have been deceived.
Receive Jesus Christ as Lord and accept remission of sins. I say this out of a genuine concern for you.

You totally missed me. There is nothing like Christianity really. It was a coined word to describe the followers of Jesus Christ back then.
Being born again is a different experience all together. It is not joining a religion, it is accepting Jesus Christ as the Son of God, receiving remission of sins, and living like Jesus Christ commanded hoping for His second coming.
It is the living like Jesus Christ that was called Christianity by non believers in the new testament age really.
The biblical word for believers is THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST.

You are partly correct. Where you missed it is that God always has people who will not bow to any other God in every generation.

The part you got right is that Catholicism was formed to kill true Christianity, but it failed.
You cannot beat God!
A lot of the teachings in main stream Christianity today came from Catholicism and they are false.
But if you study the bible (You are wrong when you say the Catholic put those verses there) you will know the truth.
You remember how Protestants rose against the Catholic Church? it was because of the false teachings they brought in.

Catholicism is not a part of the Church of Jesus Christ.
It is a deception and many pentecostal circles have followed the same path.

The Church of Jesus Christ is made up of ONLY born again believers. If you do not believe that Jesus is the Christ and there's no other name by which you must be saved, you are not saved.
