Over the years, i have heard about TECNO being the first DUAL SIM phone to hit the African Mobile market. I saw couples of their feature phones and I wasn't satisfied with the quality but that have since changed though - Tecno has gone premium The first time i put my hands on Tecno smartphone, I saw it from a friend of mine, i never thought it was a TECNO phone. I was surprised at the Sharp advancement. I couldn't believed what I saw- a complete paradym shift to quality and affordable smartphones from the dump phones in the past Meanwhile I had promised myself that I can never buy a Tecno phone but not knowing I was deceiving myself - smiles This particular TECNO phone was quite smart, i could averagely multitask without it hanging, i also noticed it supported most Apps and at this point, my mind had opened up. TECNO was ' not just that phone again, it was the phone for me '. Soon enough, i got my first TECNO phone, It was a music - centric phone, I am talking of Tecno boom J7. I so much enjoyed the audio quality of this phone and the metallic headphone that came with it was simply the best I have used So far in 2015, i have used two TECNO phones, first, the BoomJ7 which is a beautiful phone in every aspect with the musical side of it standing out. Secondly, the Phantom 5 which am still using right now. The Phantom 5 which is tecno flagship device for 2015, is Tecno's first foray into premium grade. The most elating thing is that you don't have to break the bank to get this beautifully crafted piece. Also, the availability of marshmallow update which has been confirmed by TECNO Mobile is also a plus to my lasting relationship with TECNO Mobile. Though, i am still looking forward to more affordable phone models with amazing specifications. I will still pitch my tent with TECNO MOBILE, I have had no issues with their two devices I have used so far Many of us has mouthed that we could never use a Tecno phone but at the turn of events you find yourself in my shoes, we are all humans and change is the only constant thing - Tecno mobile has gone premium |
Nice attire. Ur camera is dope |
#phantom 5 |
Good to know this. Waiting patiently |
mogreen22:bro forget story, you know nothing about phones even 1gb RAM device handle these your so called HD games well. What's is it you are saying about optimization in splus, the phone uses 2gb RAM and the chipset is OK. Why won't it handle HD games smoothly. My stance is the infinix hot 2 is better than this p5W. Even the 1gb RAM is better. I can bet you that that your p5W will have multitasking issue |
Tecno phantom 5 Tecno droidpad 8 |
Powerhorse phones Tecno L5 and the ulephone power. |
Dam5reey:This thread is dead already because no serious reviews of this phone thanks to the Gionee shills who won't let us hear word. Can you imagine someone is saying there is no need for service? Why do the likes of IPhone and samsung have service centers? |
BenKafor:Yes very good phone |
bongolistik:Oga u no get work?. Who are the people selling theirs and hope it's selling cheap cos I will buy one again |
jideprof:hot 2 sold very well online but can't beat the sales record of tecno n3 or phantom A+ generally. |
mosjames:I believe Tecno's marketing strategy is the strongest. It's very smart |
I read an article in July 2015, written by a blogger titled "Is Infinix and others eating TECNO’s cheese in Nigeria?. In that article, he examined the question of innovation and value for money and submits that "TECNO have relaxed in terms of innovation, most of their current crop of smartphones in the market no longer offer value for money". And by all appearances, that was correct at the time. Up till that time, the only striking smartphone from TECNO in 2015 was the Boom J7. The J7 is a beautiful device, but it didn't stand out much and drive the kind of hype people were used to with TECNO. Probably because of low marketing drive for this nice device. I still love this device up till now and it's still one of the greatest 1gb RAM phones with great multitasking The Boom J7 really is something - a beautiful design with great music and audio capabilities. And a good performer too. But due to some reasons it didn't get the kind of buzz i expect from it. Tecno realized this early enough during the year, and things have completely changed for these two reasons Count One: Camon C8 The affordable camera-centric Camon C8 was a hit. TECNO promised that it would wow users with its camera and it has done just that. The 3,000 mAh battery helped too. Count Two: Phantom 5 We didn't see this coming. We knew TECNO was playing for premium, but we didn't think it would come out this good. Immediately details of the Phantom 5 went public, it became the talk of the town both by lovers and haters of the brand. The talk hasn't died out months after - and the premium metal build, gorgeous display, BOOM Player and awesome stereo audio, fingerprint scanner, 3,000 mAh battery, 4G LTE, and great performance means that the Phantom 5 will stay in the public eye for a while. In fairness, Infinix had an equally exciting year. So, 2015 was a very good year for both brands. Perhaps, Infinix is merely only nibbling at TECNO's cheese. After all, TECNO remains far ahead in terms of sales and has clinched the position of the largest smartphone brand in Nigeria. The year 2016 is going to be an exciting year in the mobile industry. We expect lots of innovation from tecno mobile. The question is, will Tecno mobile retain its leadership position of the smartphone market in Nigeria? |
Carlcaresophia:This is a welcome development. I love this |
Poor marketing strategy. Even if you produce the best phones in the world without sound and target - driven marketing plan you gonna fail. They should ask the likes of tecno and infinix why they are selling like recharge cards. Another thing is the pricing of their devices. The android mobile market is saturated so a good pricing system and adequate publicity will save them the loss they are experiencing now |
stanboy28:I am having the same experience with mine too. It happens whenever the phone is getting hot. Innjoo has problem with the hotness especially around the camera. The hotness can get one's skin burnt |
Raymondluv:download the pix and the width and height. How can these be phantom 5’s camera samples. |
I just checked those pix above, they are from tecno L5 |
Raymondluv:lol. There are camera samples from my L5. Download the pix then go to details you will know if it's L5 camera or not |
shedo4sure:you are blind |
