favoured234: Applied and got an immediate confirmation via mail, although at the end of the application there are some documents that you have to print out directly from the site Thanks for the feedback. I called my bank and they said the transaction was pending and money will be refunded after 5-7 days. I paid again and it went through without any problem, got the acknowledgement and payment receipt immediately. I have been given appointment for next week, can I go before the appointment date from your experience . I tried contacting Abu Dhabi office but no one is answering. |

Note: Abeg try not to chat/browse and pass your station where you are supposed to drop.
Also Friday services of the Dubai Metro will begin at 10am instead of 1pm from October 2, This is very good information. Thank you! |

ken1982: We are saying the same thing. For someone looking for a job with UK masters you will not be offered 2k aed...probably4-5k or so as a fresher in UAE, except where you are desperate to land a job and you accept any possible offer tabled. UK masters with 2-3 years should be getting more. It might also depend on what you are ready to settle for, field of work.. |

truelovecom: Alot of people are paid between 500 to 1000 dirham, some get 1500 dirhams.
Security jobs in dubai pay between 1500 to 2000 dirhams , while security jobs in sharjah, ajman and abu dhabi pay between 2000 to 2700 dirhams or 3000 dirhams( if your lucky)
Cleaner jobs pay between 700 to 1200 dirham per month
Drivers earn between 2000 to 4000 dirhams per month
I have seen an office receptionist that collect 1000 dirhams per months, while some collect between 1500 to 2500 or even up to 3500( for those lucky)
Now professional jobs can give U between 4000 to 8000 dirhams and at times up to 13000dirhams( if your lucky). This section is mostly dominated by indians and philpines, your chance of getting a job as an african is very slim
Most jobs that pay up to 15000dirhams and above are reserved for Uae citizens or foreign nationals from 1st world countries 4000 - 8000 dirhams for a professional, are you really sure about this, that's quite low. You know people in the customer service field earn between this range, will you class jobs like this as professional jobs? |

koolmd: Hello House,
Urgent suggestion from folks in Dubai, a friend is almost at the point of accepting a Managerial Job with a company in Dubai. He's done 3 Stages of Skype interviews.
The company according to him is at Dubai World Central, he wants to know if USD 5000/month he proposed to accept is not a bad deal for the cost of daily living in dubai and of course savings bearing in mind that the company said he will be responsible for his own accommodation. They promised him two annual return tickets to his home country (Nigeria) & health coverage.
Your responses will go a long way to help in this decision making, the person is employed in Nigeria and want to be sure before resigning. It's a good offer. It might be a different story if he's married with kids |

I have learned a lot from this thread. There is bazically no life in Saudi Arabia from what I can gather when you compare to the UAE. You just make sure you save as much as possible from the fat salary and move on. I will like to come over there as well, please do they consider gulf experience - will this be considered over nationality? |

Dikachukwu: Then, how will I know the genuine one, they even called me up asking about the activation of my account with $92 CAD and the web site is jobsindubai. Pls I want your help. It is illegal as per the UAE labor law to charge any fees from job seekers. Any payment/settlement will have to be between authentic recruitment agencies and employer not you an employee. So don't let anyone con you in giving them your hard earned money. You should type in jobsindubai on google and see the results. Its a bloody scam. |

kolokolobi: I'm bumping into Nigerians here in uae working as security guards in some of the hotels I've been staying in the bur area. Is this what they look forward to I ask. Of course there are proffesionals here but my heart bleeds when I see my guys as valets at hotel entrances. The phillipinos and other nationals have better jobs with dignity. What's wrong? I didn't come to look for a job I came to kill some spare time and catch up on one or two proffesional expos in the ME area So as to know trends in the market. The saying at home is that they are working in dubai and living large. Why? Madam Justi has said it all. You can imagine someone earning 6000 naira as salary and then there is an opportunity to earn 200000 naira or more in Dubai plus opportunity to get better paying jobs tax free. Not everyone has it all good in Nigeria. The Filipinos and Indians are more established here but you see them doing worse jobs as well. We are getting there |

I think you can verify it on DNRD website. 800k is a lot of money to give out. What sort of job were you promised? |

Shauron1: Okay let me be explicit, I paid an agent through a known person 800k for 2 years working visa around September last year flight inclusive, they were giving me one excuse after the other. Then early this year. They gave a work permit and said they have to get the ticket from the company. Then they started giving one excuse after the other. Around Feb they sent me a ticket that after a week. I'll move, was very excited. When I went to mma a day before the flight, they said no record of my ticket is in their database Turkish airline). When I called the agent. He said, that they didn't confirm the ticket, because they were not able to get the okay to deboard. That I should standby. Early this month, they sent an okay to deboard, but they claim they were not able to get me the flight for the 7th. On Wednesday, they sent another ticket, but mere looking at it, it is a fake, my name was just superimposed on the ticket with paint. The name underneath was still showing. Now they claim I should wait for the okay to deboard of the ticket. That is what makes the ticket valid. Please how true is this? Hi....have you verified the authenticity of the work permit..maybe you should start from there |
