Glad to hear.. That's the two services for running casting on Xiaomi phones. Maybe you debloated them when trying to get rid of bloatwares for ads or during flashing.

Why is Xiaomi update always nonsense. My apps many are not opening after updating. My touches have to be done several times. Feels like my right side of the screen is not working. U have to swipe many times before bak gesture works.

Force restart ur phone by holding the power button for 9 secs. And also try and update all ur apps. All apps need to be updated so the new update will patch well with them

That ur online review might not be talking about Redmi note 10. Why aliexpress, you can get them here in Nigeria with reasonable prices. You can order online through Jumia for base variant of Redmi note 10, physical stores like Slot, pointek, Raya, fine brothers etc and Nairaland Xiaomi thread store by contacting @Macbeyland one of the reputable seller there

OK, even with the two services running/switched on, you can try cast with casting service on your device direct without the app(Wireless Display for MIUI). If it didn't cast you can use the app as second option. But remember the two services, its very important

Try this app (Wireless Display for MIUI) on Google play store.
Note it: These two services are needed for casting to work:
Mi Connect Service (com.xiaomi.mi_connect_service)

So if you debloated your phone you need those two switch back on and running. If they are, search for remote display

I was considering the base version too until I found out that IR blaster and other features were removed. I think you should save up and get the pro version or order from aliexpress if you can wait. we are in same situation.

I tried casting yesterday and it worked. Though I use an Android TV.

Both TV and phone have to be connected on the same hotspot. Meaning you need a third party to serve as the host.

Look if you can deduce any point from this Xda thread below about casting to TV. Tho' I'm not around to try it out on my TV, will check mine when I come back from travel
