Well, since your entire SE and Abia in particular are locked for Obi all due to pure tribal sentiments, it makes no sense for Obi to even bother campaigning in the SE talk less of erecting campaign billboards.

A proper analysis of the non oil revenue of the FG.

The narrative is that the SE is too far behind in VAT and CIT generation but in the absence of a reliable census, you need to consider other data before adopting that conclusion.

NIN registration figures
Voter registration figures
SME registration figures
Active sim cards
And then add any other data you can lay your hands on that are indicative of the population size.

With all these data you will see that the VAT and CIT output of the SE is a bit above the weight of the zone by population when compared to other zones apart from the SW. Though I did not check properly but I checked for the SW and the NW. The NW for instance is supposed to have a clear three times of the SE but it does not have up to that. It however has far more than double.

Then all the zones have economic activity according to their population size but some activities are not VATable. All activities below fifty million naira in annual revenue don't need to file VAT and that to me is not right. There is no need for barbers, fashion designers, small restaurants and etc to be excluded from filing VAT. A barber paying rent of three hundred thousand naira per annum should pay more VAT than that and etc etc. They ought to endeavor to pay VAT more than rent. It is after all paid by the consumers.

Then the agricultural and trading sectors are not VATable.

The sectors that are not VATable have workers and if a taxable minimum wage is imposed on all workers then the states that can't generate huge VAT will be able to generate PAYE and ordinarily states should pay a portion of their IGR to the center. Local governments too should pay to the states. Agrarian states should have produce boards and they will make more money from those boards than industrialized states make from VAT or as much and they should also pay up to the FG. That is how it ought to be and if it is efficient like that then Kano will pay in as much revenue to the FG as Lagos while Kaduna and Oyo will pay in more than Rivers state etc etc.
