Still, those who studied abroad and returned home are unable to make meaningful impact due to a myriad of "Nigerian factors".

They came because of production volume, not because of species origination. I am reading an article in which Kenyans came to Nigeria and saw Cola being used/celebrated massively by Nigerians (Igbos) and were so shocked that a plant that grows in the wild in their country has such commercial value in Nigeria. Did the kola growing wild in Kenya originate from Yorubaland? In fact, scientifically speaking there is no biogeographical or ecological explanation for a small space of land as Yoruba (actually not all Yorubaland, but mainly Ondo, Ekiti and Osun) to be the exclusive origin of a plant species. What is different between the ecology of Yorubaland vs that of Edoland, Igboland and Cameroon, etc, to warrant Cola species to originate exclusively in Yorubaland? Kola is native to Tropical Africa, especially West and Central Africa, which includes Yorubaland and Igboland.

Kolanut (Cola acuminata/nitida) is not native to Yoruba. It is native to Tropical Africa extending from West Africa to Congo and East Africa.

You are very foolish. The US produces oil and still imports more oil from abroad. Why is that so? Similarly, Igbos use kolanut for virtually all traditional ceremonies. They don't produce enough for their domestic consumption and have to import from Yorubas who produce more than they need. That is different from the Oni saying that Igbos don't grow kolanut. You, and unfortunately the Oni, lack basic understanding of economic and agricultural production dynamics.

What are you arguing? That Igbos don't grow kolanut? Then you need to travel out of your hut in Ogbomosho. Yoruba may produce more than Igbo and therefore will sell to Igbos trading on kolanut. That does not mean there are not 100s of 1000s of kolanut trees in Igboland. I have just mentioned that my grandfather had 5 trees and that was modest back in our village in Abia State.

Kolanut does not only grow in Yoruba land. It grows in the East and there are 100s of 1000s of the tree in Igboland. My grandfather alone had more than 5 kolanut trees. Do Yorubas grow more kolanut plants than Igbos? Perhaps yes.

BTW, The role that the Oni is playing to unite Nigerians is great and comendable. However, he is human, and can make mistakes with facts. I hope the Eze Nri corrected him on that misfact.

Medical Doctor is just another profession. The aim is to save lives and not wealth. A prudent individual will live on 1300 pounds monthly, if living in a 2 bedroom flat in the UK. The remaining can be used to invest and live the good life. If it's 3800, that a whole 2500 to play with. That's not poor at all. Let's be objective!

See my comment immediately above. In any country in the world, Med doctors are among the highest paid. Yes, it is a profession but not just another profession (the way you put it). Poverty is of course a relative term. However, if you make enough to feed and pay rent and other bills and can't save anything for tomorrow, I don't see how that is not poverty. Is it until you beg for food that you consider yourself poor?

Are those people doctors? If so, then salaries in the UK are very low. A new med doc (not talking about interns or residents) in the US earns anywhere from $120K ( approx. 91,100 GBP) per annum and above. That's approx. 7590 GBP per month.

You are spending pounds in the UK, not Naira. For a medical doctor that is no money to sustain himself and his family there and send something back to his family in Nigeria. He will realize that when he gets there.
