Smartguyboy: You guys always jump to conclusions without knowing nothing. Arnold Schwarzenegger Just fix hotphole in his street govt refused to do . About police is just matter of how connected you are(who you know ) R Kelly is in prison for the same crime Michael Jackson committed . Who told you they don’t use fuel and Gen in USA . You think light bill is free? Many people don’t have light 💡 why do you think there’s homeless people everywhere in USA ? Your last paragraph suggests "there are homeless people everywhere" because many do not have light? In every 100 police cases in 9ja, more than 80% are resolved on highest bidder principle. Please confirm if it is so in the placed we japa to. For you to ask me if I think light is free means you have a problem grasping the "no work, no chop" comment of mine. The picture you showed is a rural setting. Please let's compare rural there and rural here in 9ja. |

Tadadobe: Those things you mentioned aren't Free. They're ridiculously expensive, including education. If you're paying that much in Nigeria, maybe things will work better. An average Nigerian don't even pay for electricity, dodge taxes. In the US, you pack your car on the road, you pay. You can't even park your cars for free. Think about it, if you pay for the services in Nigeria, maybe it won't be like this. I understand that we all get defensive anytime someone decide to narrate what we don't want to hear about abroad because these abroad qre where we see as heaven and we're basically slave to them, but then , let's think for once Did you read where is said over there, "no work, no chop"? fine. If you are of the impression that if we are taxed/billed more to have a better society, then you need to prove that govt at all levels is sincere in its spending. Just recently, govt secured $800m and has decided to help 50m people. so, what happens to the other 150m people? you said get defensive? I will like you to fine those words and relate it to the topic being discussed. Japa is motivated by the graveyard which our society have become. |

I don't think so. In that 29 years, people over there do not think of generator or fuel. They don't bother with when landlord will pump water. They take long walks without dodging okada or Keke. If you call police for anyone there, the person go face the music. Nothing like do you know who I am. You buy moto, pot hole no go dry your pockets for mechanic hand. The life here is for the dead. Govt has collected $800m, how did dey come up with helping only 50m people? The over 150m na fools? Guy, don't talk about what you don't know. Life over there is not easy. No work, no chop. But for those who work, they may live comfortably without fear or hopelessness. |

OP,u can't guilt trip Chimamanda. Scoundrels & charlatans have wrecked the country but folks are supporting such people because of tribalism. It is really disappointing to see that even the ordinary people no longer regards self value. How can anyone defend the atrocitiies that happened in February? |

akingangan: You will be surprised at the level of poverty and violence in the US Imagine JK Rowling now writing an open letter to the President of Nigeria about this.
I think she made a mistake and was carried away by the moment. She played it he way APC wanted it. The hen that shouts is not advocating for the hawk to drop its chick. Rather, it's for the world to know what's up. APC did pocket Nigeria. It's for the world to know what's up. |

raphretle: Was wondering if schools still have shorthand in their curriculum.. Also do people still use it for administrative purposes considering the fact that one could use a phone to record a conversation and then later on use it. For those who learnt it in school, can you read shorthand notes? learnt it in one of the js classes. total waste of my time. |
