saxywale: Do you think it's possible to get 5w30 at first gate and how much did your 5w20 go for. I am about to service my car engine with 5w40 total. That's the closest I believe to the manufacturer's spec.

Just be patient, u will get d oil.
Castro oil is available at first gate in Lag, 5w 20 and d likes, dts where i get for my Toyota.

Alternatively, ship the correct spec in from abroad, Sienna can be of help in this regard i think but stick to the correct spec at all cost bro.

In your case, you are young and your friends are of thesame age bracket with you, dts a major minus on a road that is either too good (you will surely overspeed) or very bad (like death trap called ogbomoso - oyo route). I bought my first car @25 (2004 Camry) the first long trip Akure to Lagos was done by a friend in the first month, I drove back to Lagos myself the next month I have been driving for 9months now and I have covered 13k miles. I steady shuffle Akure - Lagos or sometimes warri at least twice in a month.

For a road you're plying fo the first time I would recommended you don't go faster than 100kmPh until you get a hang of it. If you're driving a fast car you would surely be tempted to go faster but control yourself it is not how fast but how well.

You can do it just be careful.. And don't assume everyone driving is in the right frame of mind. Check your tyres and you must have a spare.. Gods speed.

9icetoo: Vibrations in steering wheel at high speed could be caused by a number of things, bad tyre, bent rim, warped disc rotor, bad knuckle bearing (called spider abi shaft ). Since you changed ur didcs and it has continued, why don't you try checking the other possible causes. I hear warped discs can be machined to smooth them out again. Hopefully other members might be able to shed more light. wish you the best. have u tried rotating ur tyres to rule out bad tyres and rims?

However, just changed all my tyres to new ones, no bent rim observed, issue of shaft is wat i have not considered. To confirm that its the disc, i changed back to the original disc that came with the car and all the leg noise stopped except for the steerin vibration. I am of the opinion that the discs i have bought so far are not of quality.

My 2005 Toyota corolla front disc was changed of recent due to steering vibration on top speed, break vibration and noise. I initially bought a new one for like 10k but was told its china and didnt really work well, it was making disturbing noise after a while (even though the steering vibration was gone). Another mechanic advised tokunbo for 8k, I changed to toks, it was initially ok but now am noticing thesame noise and steering vibration.
Please how do i resolve this issue,where can i get original disc for the car and at what cost?, wont mind to import either from UK or US if possible.

N.B I have changed the hub too and i recently changed all the tires.

always use the right oil specifications. I bot 5w 30 (Castrol) for my Toyota recently at 1st gate beside Zenith Bank Agidingbi Lagos. I tink it should be available at Ladipo market too.

In summary, tell her to take the job except she wants to continue to live as 2nd class citizens in Uk with their immigration wahala forever, she will enjoy it later. Entry level may not be dt rosy but as u move on step by step, u enjoy it, all the best.

This may be true except the auto gurus have a different opinion, thats why we are still waiting for more contributions from our respected gurus.
Based on the advise i got here, recently changed bak to the thermostat option (rewired my fan to only start working wen the engine temp is almost at halfway or when the A/C is on) and i noticed a slight vibration that wasnt their before. On motion, i noticed that the car is no longer picking as b4 (requires me to step more on the gas b4 it gains the normal speed).

I am considering goin to my mech this weekend to increase my gas (acceleration) power, please let me know if i should go ahead.

so sad but most of us are not even mentioning our driving culture. Just because sum1 was impatient and tried to do some James Bond stuffs, a life is gone.
Even if an adult has been sitting in front, a life could still have been lost as we have seen and heard such instances before.

After enquiry , i found out that my beloved boyfriend who has a beautiful heart of Gold donated the blood to be used for my mother's transfusion during the dialysis...

Why would someone cut off the connection to the oxygen sensor? These human beings called Nigerian mechanics and rewires!

85% of cars in Nigeria with overheating problems are caused by air lock, which eventually will lead to air pocket, which causes the overheating. Average Nigeria mechanic does not know that cooling system must be bled, whenever the system is opened or flushed. Air, of course will get trapped and will cause all kinds of overheating issues to the system, if not removed or bled. Instead of the mechanics to findout the cause of the overheating, they will choose the easy way out, by removing the thermostat and connecting the fans to spin constantly. Yes, it will appear as if the problem have been solved. But as soon as you get stucked in traffic jam, with heavy load like AC on, the bubbles or air in the system will deal with your engine, mercilessly.

Whatever you do, make sure you bleed the cooling system after replacing or putting back the thermostat. Otherwise, you are back to square one. Good luck.

Bros, u funny ooo, u forgot that we are not all thesame. While some people can sleep for 3/4hrs a day and be ok, others require between 6-9hrs a day.
It also depends on the kind of work you do, how tedious and strenous it is. You equally forgot to take into consideration almight PHCN or is it everybody that will have big generators at home to run the air conditioners

This man has a gud product, am amased by the pics that am seeing from this post, what is left now is gud packaging and promotions and not relying on govt patronage only. Imagine giving bankers and govt workers opportunity to drive home a N1.7M car with gud repayment plans over 3/4yrs? He nids to have ambasadors among our football and music stars, just imagine Tuface or Whiskid in dis car, other stars and their fans wil gladly want to belong.

You obviously didnt read the report well and u have not been following the story.

This guys is Iranian American. Born and bred in Iran but converted to Islam later in his life. Met an American citizen who was on a working visit to Iran, they fell in love and he married her. He became an American citizen by marriage but still visits his family regularly in Iran. Whenever he visits Iran, he does not hide his faith involving regularly in evangelism and charity works, it should be noted that the house fellowship/eveangelism he was involved in then was not a threat until receddntly.
He was arrested the last time he was in Iran and has been detained since and his wife threatened not to come to visit him in Iran or risk been arrested.

For all of you who are anxious about been called, dont worry, u most likely will be called. From my lil experience with dem and as an ex banker, i know most of the time, it is an on-going test, people will continue to write the test in batches on a daily basis even after the deadline of 22nd.
