I think he should just roll back the changes to when the forum worked well - before all these changes and go back to the drawing board and fix the issues (and test thoroughly) before rolling out these changes. This thread is dying slowly and people would just migrate to alternative sources where they will get information. Of which there are a plethora of choices!
durodee: I think Seun has relaxed the 40 character minimum post for this forum at least, I have tested the limit twice and my post have been visible. However, it seem people have been having challenges posting on Nairaland and many people are just pissed of!
Seun, it's so sad that the frequency of update of this thread has been so much affected by the bot. There are days that this thread doesn't move past a page. In times past, the thread was so active that it can go 3 to 4 pages in a day because of the frequency of updates of posts.
Sad that the bot is now the weapon fashioned against the thread....
Does anyone know any other reliable Jinko supplier apart from Fouani? They are always out of stock of Jinko products. The day before yesterday i checked and there was plenty, today they are totally out of stock!
Do the @valto 15kw batteries come with comm ports? Can they communicate with the inverters? What kind of accessories do they come with? Is it only the batteries as shown in the pic as is? Do they come with warranty and how many years?
Would love to know from Valto himself or from people that have bought his batteries. Thanks for the info
Got a quote for blue carbon. Please tell me why you are ruling out blue carbon. Let me know if i should just run
bodeface: I really appreciate your candid review of the batteries. Thanks so much quote author=GloryJoyeux post=135254576]
Hi,
These batteries are not in the same category at all, just like you put a Highlander with a premium Lexus or Mercedes SUV.
If you want the guaranteed best, go with BSL Battery.
Second best, but not by much, is the SRNE Battery.
Those two are not in the same category as the other batteries by miles!
Now, rule out Blue carbon completely! As for Entelechy, I have never heard of that brand.
Taico, well, I personally won’t spend my money on it.
So you basically have only two options, BSL and SRNE, especially since price is not an issue. They use good cells, are rated at their actual capacity, and are very well built. In fact, so many companies use BSL Batteries. SRNE on the other hand, is overpriced for what you get, but it still delivers.
Now, people have also had complaints with all the batteries you listed above. No brand is perfect. It’s imperative that you also do your own personal research before purchasing any of it. But, please strike out blue carbon from the list.
Did they measure the earth resistance after the installation?
I have equipment somewhere in Delta state that used to get damaged during thunderstorms. But when they made the earth resistance below 1 Ohm, it stopped. In some places, 3 - 5 ohms is ok. The lower the earth resistance, the better the chances of the equipment surviving a thunderstorm.
Did they tie all the 3 rods in the video together? That way, it further reduces the earth resistance. There is an equipment used in measuring this. Get this or get a NEPA official to come and help you measure your earth resistance.
Valto: tubular ke since u can spare 600k on batteries, this is a far better option 24v 2.5kwh lifepo4 lithium battery +24v 3.5kwh hybrid inverter =930k or 24v 3.5kwh lifepo4 lithium +24v 3.5kw hybrid inverter =1.040m
Now this is very misleading. Gas can be safely used to power generators. What do you think they use to power the generators on oil rigs and oil flowstations? GAS!!! The only thing is it has to be done safely. AND 2kg cannot power a gen for 12hrs. That is very false. I powered my 2.5kva gen with 12.5kg for about 20hrs. Take note that i had various loads on it at different times.
kernniejay: Using cooking gas to power a gasoline (petroleum) generator is not just risky but also deadly! No manufacturer of those generator will ever specify that gas can be used as alternative fuel. But in Nigeria, we know better and we are smarter than the manufacturers, there is nothing we don't by pass or take for granted and we are fond of re-designing machines and equipment to suit our madness here.
this is a hasty generalization. I am not tribal and I favour Obi as president. Don't make this about Yoruba or Hausa. I stay in Lagos and most of the people I have interacted with who are Yoruba by the way are in strong support of Obi...
So you see it is not about tribe but who will be competent enough to move us away from this mess we are currently in
Unzerious: I'm Agbor by some known Means, not Ika.
Every Nigerian is Tribal, the Yoruba's are tribal with their Support for Tinubu; Obi will Implement laws and make Appointments to favour his Tribe, so will the Northerner's. So what stops me from having my Personal interest at Heart.
I've stayed long enough in Delta to see how the Igbo's behave to the Minorities.
I will call for Bendel Republic, if the chance Presents itself.
Check engine light on? Scan the car for codes. If it's clean then check your engine seats they might have gone bad
Ayoslimzy: I bought a fairly used lexus ES350 2007 almost a year ago and it’s been running fine except from some few electrical issues which are easily fix But day before yesterday my friend ask for my battery to start his car I gave him the battery and he use it to start his car And since then when I fix the battery back and start my car I noticed my car vibrates a lot From the steering to the seats when it’s moving or not Pls car guru what should I do Is it an urgent matter I should solve cause I’m currently out of funds Just managing
The question is what happened to the Almajiri schools built during GEJ's time? Politicians will always be politicians!!! Instead of continuity, they chose to build THEIR own..Well still happy for the almajiris. Hope this continues after he leaves office.
360degreess: .. Don't tell me you are jealous of this good work. Do you know God can make some of them to be more successful in life than you in the future?.. As for me, I am happy for them. I commend the governor...
@ojeysky pls who sold your lithiums to you? @ceaser you can also tell me too. Should I dm you or is it something you can share here? did they come with BMS or its something you had to add yourself?
ceaser: Yep. In Nigeria. Same guy that supplied Ojeysky. He assembles the packs. He has one year warranty on the packs and he guarantees that cells are grade A with serial numbers/codes that can be used to confirm. So far, the batteries have been doing well.
The third pack was imported already assembled. The cells are not CATL. In fact I don't even know the names of the cells sef, but hey the battery has not disappointed going to 10 months. I believe they'll likely be top grade cells too.
Who sold the packs to you? Was it here in Nigeria? And how have they been behaving? Thinking of going all lithium... Appreciate the info...
ceaser: Two out of the three battery packs I have are made of CATL. I actually inquired from the guy that sold the pack to make sure he will be using that.
Another good one is CALB. I've not really heard about Greenleaf before.
Morning people. Can the Fangpusan 150V 70A cc effectively charge lithium-ion batteries or can they be programmed to do so? if so how? Looking at it for a 48v setup. thanks!
ceaser: I'm not so sure 250 watts in 4s will not exceed the 150V voc of the CC. Perhaps a nameplate of your panel posted here may help or those with idea of the voc of 250 watts panel can help.
Your present 3s config seems to provide adequate headroom for your CC to handle the 48v charging and additions should be more of parallel going forward. I don't have much knowledge of the Fangpusuns though, but that's what I think obtain for most MPPTs I've encountered.
I currently have 9 (250W) panels in a 3S3P config mated to a Fangpusan 150V-70A charge controller on a 48V battery bank. I am thinking of adding 3 additional panels to this. Which is it safer for the CC - to have the panels in 4S3P OR 3S4P configuration?
Would have preferred the 4S3P as the cables I have already run can take the additional panels and I wouldn't want to be running additional cables to my cc.
