This is why it is now more important than ever to push the National Broadband penetration plan. Though this situation might be due to a myriad of issues, I think pushing this plan will have a ripple effect on the overall IT industry in Nigeria. Like they always say in webinars now "the new normal" in these COVID-19 times is a far cry from what we have had all our lives. The Presidency should push this now!! TheRealProphet: |
I don't think agriculture is the Eldorado of Nigeria. Check out the majority of the developing countries (eg Thailand, Vietnam, etc) and you will see that they have invested heavily in their human capital that has birthed industries. You will see that they are also heavily agrarian societies too. However. agriculture is commodities and no nation is rich with commodities only. Sunshineg5: |
It's a new installation. It beats me too because it sometimes goes into float at that voltage. But I have read that it's a problem with the victron algorithm. There are plenty of stories like that in the victron forums. It calculates the absorption time based on the voltage it senses in the batteries. If it senses that the batteries are not deeply discharged, the absorption time is a fraction of the set absorption time period. The default I think is 6hrs. Also if the clouds are over cast or there is any form of shading, the CC sees it as another day has started and it restarts based on the voltage it senses. If that voltage is high but not up to the absorption voltage, it will cut the absorption time and subsequently go into float mode. I think this in a nutshell is what I have been able to gather about the issue. Was wondering if one can get a workaround to this. Dkev: |
You can as well take your multimeter to the shop to try and measure the voltage/current from the panels. But since for example, 250w panels are an average of 29-40k, I will advise you to go for the new ones since these used ones are always like a 5-8k difference. generationz: |
Gurus, I have a Fangpusun 150/70 with a 48v 200ah Ritar AGM battery bank (8 batteries), 9 250w solar panels in 3s3p configuration and I am experiencing it going into float prematurely - hence it does not fully charge the batteries. If I am lucky it charges it up to 53.7v I have read online that this is a problem with the algorithm as it senses the voltage at sun up and uses it to calculate how long absorption time will be. Absorption voltage currently set to 56v and float is 55.4v. Is there a workaround that one can adopt? I see they have resolved this in the Victron v1.42 firmware but as we are stuck with the v1.16 what can one do? cc @earthrealm @GeorgeD1 @SolnergyPower @NiyiOmoIyunade @bigrovar @ zeestone99 @pranil |
If they were well used and you know their history, they are good. I have 3 used panels in my solar array and those guys are producing as much as the new ones that I got. generationz: |

is it the baby's fault that he/she was born? Not condoning adultery, but you cannot condemn the child to hell because he/she was born out of wedlock. delugajackson: |
if you can afford, buy the mppt charge controllers that have been given decent enough reviews on this thread - Fangpusun, Epever etc comes to mind Deluxe8000: |
Thanks, I actually did and ordered myself a fangpusun 150/70 cc plus the display for a very ridiculous price. lexi28: |
I cant thank you enough. You just saved me literally thousands of naira on solar items peddled on this thread. Thanks!! Trippledots: |

Thanks!! Appreciate the swift response. Are there precautions to take when installing on an old asbestos roof? Any particular accessories that can be used in mounting these panels to asbestos roofs as against the metal roofing sheets? SolnergyPower: |
Gurus in the house, thinking of upgrading to a 48v battery system (with 8 batteries) and with 9 250W solar panels. I read @DMerciful comment some pages ago https://www.nairaland.com/390522/solar-energy-complement-fta/358#65328776 saying PV voltage of times 2 battery voltage is best for some brands of CC. I intend using a fangpusun 150/60 bluesolar clone. Barring any system bottlenecks, can you recommend the best PV array connection for the 9 panels I intend to use to harvest the maximum energy? Thanks. CC NiyiOmolyunade pranil GeorgeD1 bigrovar |
Been following this thread keenly for sometime. Does anyone know how to get data out of a Fangpusun solarblue clone150/60 CC for analysis on maybe Grafana on a raspberry pi? Would appreciate if you could point me in the the right direction. Thanks |
I don't think there is actually anywhere in the Bible that forbids cousins marrying. However, different cultures either encourages, condones or forbids it. Science encourages you to marry someone outside your family to widen the gene pool to prevent genetically transmitted diseases. The Jews (in present day Israel) actually still actively practice this. However, they have one of the highest prevailances of genetically transmitted diseases because of the narrowed gene pool - aka inbreeding. Overall, I will not encourage it because of the probability of diseases showing up in your offspring that might have been a recessive gene in your family line ie it had not showed up in a few generations. Pls just save yourself the heartaches further down the line of your marriage. Just like they advice 2 pple with AS genotype not to marry, pls dont marry ur cousin - you will be playing a game of Russian Roulette (Google this)... Shedrack777: |
Allegations have not been struck out by the courts..The prosecution just closed their case against him and the defense entered a no-case submission. The judge is yet to rule on the case. Please be guided..... Officialgarri: |
Got a mail from StanbicIBTC that they have started accepting online payments on their MasterCard - POS and Web transactions is $3,000 cumulative. Do we have an idea how much they charge per $? |
You need to be more specific about the specs to get traction on sales. Please put out all the specs here so that all can see. We didnt know it did not have an HDD if i didn't ask. I will appreciate if you can add pictures of the internals (ie picture of the computer opened) The more info you put here the better so that I can make up my mind to buy. Thanks lester12: |
Oga can u be more specific with the full specifications of the system? What specific type of processor, size of ram and hard disk etc.. pls be more specific! |
I have used the LG G2, G4 and G5 and I have not regretted it. Infact sending this message with the G5 and it's been beautiful..no issues. The main attraction to me is the cheap fixes..Wanted to change the screen of a Samsung last yr and found out that the price is almost as much as the new phone. Meanwhile for the LG it's like a quarter of the price of the phone if not less. LG phones are good phones all round... |
Would you rather sell Amazon gift cards? Instead of the full order through you? ssfWeShss: |
Actually what these guys are doing is kind of illegal in some countries. What they do is they use VoIP (voice over IP) to terminate the international calls on local numbers instead of going through the legal international gateways i.e MTN, glo, 9mobile and Airtel. The international call will now seem like a local call. What this simply means is that they carry those voice calls over the internet, which makes it extremely cheaper for them. That is why those in the diaspora can make those extremely cheap calls. three: |
I just finished watching a video where Nnamdi Kanu, the symbol of the 'struggle' expressly called for war with the 'Nigerian Zoo'. Let me quote him "The mission of radio Biafra is a simple one - to get Biafra by every means possible necessary and possible, by every means including WAR including VIOLENCE. Dear Lord in Heaven, bring violence that no one has ever seen before. We said we will burn the zoo down and we will do it. Nigeria will be burnt to the ground - completely burnt to the ground. We are prepared for them in every way possible, in every way possible. We are not here to beg anybody to support us. If you like you support us, if you like you don't. It doesn't matter anyway because we are marching forward. Nobody can stop us". According to Kanu THE DIRECTOR, he called for the actualisation of Biafra with every means possible including war. That is why people can safely equate this agitation with a call for war. He made very damaging and self incriminating comments in the video and i am sure that is one of the reasons the government is prosecuting him for treason. No right thinking govt will sit down and watch citizens incite war and secession.... KemjikaEme: |
I understand your point. And i totally agree with you. However, i am 100% sure 100% of the people agitating for Biafra were born 1970 and downwards (ie after the war) so they don't have a 1st hand experience of what the war was. Also unfortunate that these things have been expunged from our history books, so they don't even have a clue as to what happened (and they don't care to find out). Like you said tribalism and clannish tendencies are rife in Nigeria. Even within major tribes, there is a lot of discrimination going on and we all know it is true. Within the Yorubas, some people will never touch the Ijebus with the proverbial long pole because of some perceived stereotypes. While within the Igbos, an some Anambra men will not dare marry an Imo woman and vice versa - again because of the stereotypes. Also within the Igbos, there are the so called Osus - that is a story for another day. In the Niger Delta, we all saw what happened in the last administration. Some set of Niger Deltans fed fat all in the name of activism. Where is Asari Dokubo now? What of Tom Polo? Ankio Briggs? Clark? Where are they? They no longer have access to the vaults so of course they will be quiet. They were all SCAM ACTIVIST!!! What if we get BIAFRA or THE REPUBLIC OF THE NIGER DELTA today? They will implode because the same people shouting Nnamdi Kanu today of Tom Polo will be the ones shouting marginalization and "Kill Him" tomorrow. Let us cure the cancer called tribalism and nepotism within our mist before talking about Biafra, Niger Delta or whatever self determination we are fighting for. Princedapace: |
Actually did with him in April for May and June subscription. So this is a belated shout-out. Straight forward. Subscribed even before I paid him. Thanks!! |
But there were references to war in ur initial statement I quoted. Nobody wants war. You and I know that no government will not give up it's territory without a fight... especially if that territory is the cash cow...and Nnamdi Kanu, ur director has been beating the drums of war since day one. There are videos and statements credited to him all over the internet to prove that. Lightening: |
