3. As regards this issue, may i correct an impression which you've wrongfully perceived to be true. If anyone would be held responsible for the impending crisis in Janemane's home, that would be Tonto dike. She was the snitch and the gossip that brought Janemane into the mess going on between her and Kpokpogri. Tonto leaked the affairs between Kpokpogri and Janemane to the media. I have a strong feeling that this tape IF true, was leaked by Tonto.

A self-confessed serial child killer, Masten Wanjala, who escaped from police custody three days ago has been killed by an angry mob in western Kenya.

The police said Wanjala was traced by villagers to a house in Bungoma town and beaten to death.

WonderTV Media had earlier reported that Wanjala escaped from the Jogoo Road Police Station in Nairobi on Tuesday, October 12th after being responsible for the deaths of 13 minors.

Wanjala made news headlines in July 2021 when he was arrested and confessed to more than ten killings and sucking the blood from at least one of his victims.

According to local media, Wanjala’s five-year killing spree started when he was just 16.

After months in police custody, Wanjala escaped from prison on Tuesday, October 12.

His escape from prison led to the arrest of three police officers who were on duty at the time.

Authorities immediately launched a massive manhunt for the fugitive but locals got to him first and killed him.

Wanjala reportedly returned to the home of his parents – who have disowned him – and was subsequently strangled by neighbours who found out he was there, an eyewitness told Kenya’s Standard newspaper.

He tried to stave off suspicious locals by moving to a nearby house, Bungoma’s police commander told the paper.

It is thought his family identified the body.

“We are not sure how he managed to travel all the way from Nairobi to his rural home,” Musyoki Mutungi said. “It is the curious villagers who first identified him and went ahead to kill him even before the police could be informed.”

Wanjala posed as a football coach to lure his victims to secluded areas, after which he attacked them.

In some cases, he took them as hostages for ransom.

Upon his arrest in July, he took the police to burial sites of his victims where bodies have since been recovered.

There are growing calls for the resignation of Kenya’s police chief over Wanjala’s escape from prison, which shocked the nation.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Kwara State, has arrested one Mr Garuba Ashin for allegedly stealing a goat in his neighborhood in the state’s Kaiama Local Government Area.

Garuba, a native of Kaiama’s Iwala neighborhood, was apprehended on Thursday, according to the corps’s spokesman in Ilorin, Babawale Zaid Afolabi.

He said regular surveillance by the operatives of the defence corps, led to the arrest of the suspect following repeated reports and complaints of residents over their missing domestic animals in the neighbourhood.

“The intense surveillance carried out, paid off recently as one Garuba Ashin of Iwala area in Kaiama, was arrested while trying to steal goats belonging to Hossan Abubakar,” the spokesman revealed.

He said the suspect has been transferred to the NSCDC state command in Ilorin, while efforts are ongoing to round up other members of the gang.

Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, AKA Falz has said Nigerian youths will not be silenced by anyone.

There are speculations that some citizens would mark the one year of the protests against police brutality and corruption with another protest.

Falz, while reacting to statement by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, barring interested persons from staging any EndSARS remembrance protest, said innocent people were killed just because they were asking not to be killed or brutalized.

However, writing on his Instagram page, the Singer alleged that since the unfortunate incident a year ago, no one has been punished for the crime.

A 90-year-old grandfather, Lester Danken, has been sentenced to 21 years imprisonment for defiling his 10 and 11-years-old granddaughters, at Kufunda Village, Traditional Authority Kachere in Dedza, Malawi.

Dedza Police Deputy Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Cassim Manda, who disclosed this on Friday, said during trial, Danken admitted to defiling the children but was quick to say he committed the offence because the victims seduced him.



State Prosecutor, Sub Inspector Mercy Scott, explained in court that Danken in September 2021, had forced himself on the first victim.

The victim’s mother who stays close to Danken’s house was surprised to see her daughter coming out of her grandfather’s house with her underwear in her hand.

The state prosecutor further told the court that when the victim was quizzed, she revealed that Danken had been sleeping with her since last year and he was giving her K100 with promise that sleeping with her will boost her breasts.

The prosecutor further told the court that Danken voluntarily told Police of the second victim.

Both victims were issued with medical report forms for examination at the hospital which later certified that they were defiled.

Prosecutor Scott asked the court to give the convict a deterrent sentence to act as a warning to other would be offenders.

The Senior Resident Magistrate Clemence Chamwenda agreed with the state and observed that the convict was supposed to protect the victims being a grandparent, and that the victims are traumatised, hence a custodial sentence without looking at the age factor could fit him.

Magistrate Chamwenda went on to sentenced the grandfather with 21 years imprisonment without hard labour on each count. Both sentences to run concurrently.
