The recent news about the fracas between the wife and siblings of the late Femi Osibona who died during the collapse of his 21 storey building at Ikoyi got me thinking; how does one prevent such occurrences after his or her death? because such instances occur especially when there is chunk of wealth left by the deceased.

A Wedding guest was killed and another injured when gunmen suspected to be kidnappers attempted to abduct the member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno in the Akwa State House of Assembly State, Hon. Usoro Akpanusoh.

The incident occurred at about 7pm on Thursday, November 4, at Idung Ikpetuen in Uquo community of Esit Eket local government area where the lawmaker had joined other guests for a traditional marriage ceremony.

The gunmen shot severally as they unsuccessfully attempted to kidnap Hon. Akpanusoh.

A guest, Raphael Emmanuel was caught in the chest by the bullet and died on the spot while one other person is receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

The matter has since been reported to the police who have placed surveillance on the affected Community while investigations are ongoing.

Confirming the incident, the lawmaker said the heavily armed men attempted to abduct him as he was about entering his car after the traditional wedding ceremony.

He thanked God for protecting and bringing him safely out from the ugly situation while praying for the repose of the soul of the young man who died in the process.

The police have arrested a 300-level student of Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) identified as Miracle Ogochukwu Chiagoziem for reportedly pouring hot water on her colleague Wisdom Uchenna Chukwuemeka, a 400 level student of Geology department, Reports.

From The Information Gathered By , Ogochukwu reportedly poured hot water on Chukwuemeka at their hostel in Eziobodo on Thursday afternoon, November 4, 2021, because he didn't answer the door after she knocked to get toothpaste.

The arrested student was said to have created a scene in front of Chukwuemeka's door even though he had company, before returning to her room.

However after being confronted by Geology student later, their argument became violent and she ended up emptying a pot of hot water on him. An eyewitness said;

“Wisdom later come out to confront her over her behavior, and an argument ensued. She threatened to pour hot water on him if he doesn’t leave. A lady even stepped in to pacify them but before she could say Jack, Miracle carried out her threat. She emptied a pot of hot water on both wisdom and the lady.

"He’s currently hospitalized, severely scarred. The water was targeted at his private part and now his genitals are completely peeled. He is currently at risk of missing his entire exams for the current semester which may result in an extra year for him."

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has honoured nine-year-old Deborah Quickpen following her heroic performance at the recent Africa Youth Chess Championship in Accra, Ghana.

Miss Quickpen emerged champion in the Under-10 category after winning nine out of 10 games.

Governor Diri, who received the Bayelsa-born Chess prodigy inside the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House in Yenagoa, announced a scholarship to university level whether in Nigeria or overseas, a N4m cash gift as well as appointed her a Youth Ambassador.

Speaking during the reception, Governor Diri said: "On behalf of the government and the good people of Bayelsa State, I welcome you home and say a very big congratulations. You are a worthy daughter of this state. Having started on this beautiful note, your government will support you.

“I therefore appoint you an Ambassador of Bayelsa State youths. Your appointment is in academics. I hereby announce that your academics be followed up with the game you already know how to play. Igali thanked the governor for the honour done her and other athletes in the state.

Miss Quickpen had also represented Bayelsa at the just concluded 6th National Youth Games at Ilorin, Kwara State, where she won three gold medals.

She is the youngest Nigerian and African to win the prestigious chess championship.

Let me hit the nail on the head.
I have been searching for a girl I can build a relationship with. I don't really fancy one night stands.
