It's either you report both to the HR department and let the appropriate authority deal with it or you delete it and forget it happened. First option, you report the event and keep the evidence. In case of discrimination or termination, you can sure for wrongful termination. However, talk to a lawyer before taking the first option. Otherwise, delete the video and enjoy whatever your boss does for you out of guilt. Note, keeping the video and taking money or favors in exchange for not revealing their secret is blackmail. Basically, you have a hot stone in your hand, and it can be a powerful weapon but if you hold it long enough it will burn you to the ground. |

This isn't a criticism of the plan. However, we should only plan for things we can influence. For example, improve security situation, renovate potential tourist destinations, improve local festivals to meet international standards and then market Nigeria in top outbound tourism countries as a safe destination. Secondly, ICT provides a good option. We should be improving our tech hubs. Also, ICT isn't just programming. Content development, Video related services, animation, graphics design, accounting services are areas we can compete internationally. Thirdly, alternate energy sources. If we can make it work, we become the go to source for talents in the global industry. There's a skill shortage globally and locally, we are knowledgeable, the Internet is filled with knowledge, computer algorithms know your wife better than you. So, we need to focus on skills. Indians are no longer depending fully on their local economy. It's time to stop talking and actually start building. In ten years time, we would be glad we did. However, if we keep focusing on indicators like improving GDP and we don't have any practical plan to achieve that, we will have these conversations every decade. By the way, you don't need the government to do this, if you're unemployed right now, go online look for a skill in high demand and dedicate the next 6 months to learning. You won't be hungry. Have a productive day. |

Abandon your archaic style of thinking and join us in the new era. Private universities are fast overtaking the once revered institutions we call public universities. Grades should be based on performance, not lecturer's wish or ego. Education should not be stopped because of fuel scarcity or strike. Most professors that frustrate you in public universities are the same ones that teach in private universities. The difference is they have to put their ego aside and actually do their job. Demand for change, don't sit and be saying 7% First class is too much. I think less than 2% is a disgrace. The job of the instructor is to pass knowledge, apparently only 2% of the school actually gains this knowledge excellently, compared to 7% in private universities. We all know students are victimized in public schools, eradicate that and see that percentage rise. |
I'm not defending the past government but when making your arguments of how we did not save, please consider the cost of funding the war against terrorism. |
Without further deliberations on the matter, I will get to my point. There's looming danger in allowing APC select another candidate to inherit the votes of Audu. Amongst other things this means INEC has granted APC the power of the people - the power to select a governor. This is contradictory to the principles of democracy & it will create a loophole that could lead to increase in political assainations For instance, A party can bring forward a candidate the electorate love, assassinate him before election results are declared & impose a tyrant as governor. I am not a lawyer but I believe the best solution for democracy is to conduct another fresh election. This solution might not favor APC, but it's the best democratic solution; as it allows people to once again vote for the best available candidate. |

Yomieluv: Stereotype has done more harm than good,we tend to be more conscious if we learn that a person comes from certain tribe,or race. Funniest thing is that most people kind of behave like the way they are assumed. Eg,most people assume that anything bought in Alaba Int'l market is fake,or over priced, and if care not taken, you end up buying fake, what do we call that?..Self-fulfilling prophesy |
