logica: The type of insanity worrying some of these religious people has not yet been named, I tell you. They are envious of what ever endeavor is successful for the participants; and does not involve the spectators paying into the pockets of MOGs. Once an MOG can buy a big club like Man U, you will see how biblical verses will be used to back-up the enterprise, and prove that Paul Scholes is heaven bound.pls be careful not to speak against MOG for ur own good. Making football, music, movies, golf, wife, husband, perfume, money, yourself, etc your God will land you in hell cos nothing must take the place of God in our lives. |
GBAM!!! |
Everybody is guilty of this, even the OP abd those posting the silly responses |
Yomieluv: Drugs at work. This rlly got me laughing out loud, dude is really funny. But on a serious note, dont be quick to rubbish the tract or the message. I think the message is that football has taken the place of God for so many pple, and this definitely leads to hell. Anything that takes the place of God in your life will take u to hell. |
The Consumer Electronics Show – full of technological innovation, thousands of vendors vying to be the next big thing – and some of the craziest gadgets I’ve ever seen. Now there’s a fine line between crazy and brilliant, and sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference. So here are my top ten picks for craziest gadget at CES. Stu.pid or genius? You decide. 1. Necomimi Brainwave Cat Ears – $99 In case you can’t tell for yourself if you’re being attentive or relaxed, put on these brainwave-sensing cat ears. Then think relaxing thoughts, and the ears will droop. Focus your attention, and the ears perk up. A fine therapeutic tool for those with attention deficit disorder - or a slightly pricey party trick. Also available as devil’s horns. 2. Hapifork – $99 in Beta on Kickstarter Continuing the trend in products for people who are completely unaware of their own behaviors… The Hapifork is a Bluetooth-connected utensil that collects data on how fast you’re eating – and it vibrates in your mouth if you eat too fast. True, most of us probably don’t take enough time to appreciate what we’re stuffing in. So big points for wanting to make people more self- aware around eating. Developed by Hapilabs in France, where they really know how to enjoy a good meal. 3. Health Mate Half Sauna I’m really not sure why someone would want to bake just their lower half, but if you hate it when your arms get hot but love it when your butt does, have I got a product for you. Sit in this cedar box, and slide the top closed, just above your belly (the top would make a fine surface for a laptop if you weren’t worried about the heat). And the heat? The one I tried was set to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Yow. 4. iPotty – $39.99 Trouble toilet training your toddler? Well, there’s a technological fix for everything these days. The iPotty from CTA Digital is a plastic potty with a swiveling mount for your wee one’s iPad. Of course, it doesn’t actually come with an iPad, but it does come with a splash guard, which might come in handy. 5. Game Skunk – price not yet available It’s finally here – Smellovision! The Game Skunk from Sensory Acumen adds odors to your gaming experience. Playing a shoot-em-up set in the desert? How would that be complete without diesel fumes and odors of exploding IEDs and burning tires? Ah, I love the smell of napalm in the morning… 6. WheeMe Massage Robot - $99 Sadly, your personal Fembot has not yet arrived, but you can lie down and place this 4-wheeled device from DreamBots on your back. This 5-inch long robot automatically steers itself over your body without falling off, caressing you as it goes. Maybe they’ll hook up with Game Skunk and add the smell of the beach and suntan oil. 7. Sharky the Beaver – Free App (plus $129.99 for the Sphero Robotic Ball) Sharky the Beaver almost makes this list just on the basis of its name. But before I get into Sharky the Beaver, a little history: Sphero has been selling robotic balls since way back in 2011. You can remotely control these tennis-sized balls with an iOS or Android device. You can drive them around your living room, play tag with other Sphero users, or make the ball chase after your little brother. Sharky the Beaver is Sphero’s first venture into Augmented Reality gaming. The big, exciting augmentation? Now, when you look at the tablet or phone device running the Sharky the Beaver app, instead of seeing the remote-controlled Sphero ball, in its place you see an animated beaver. Wow. Celebrity Headphones We’ve seen celebrity-endorsed headphones for years (think “Beats by Dre”), but now you don’t even have to be a musician to have your own line. Ferrari has a pair; Usain Bolt has a pair – what are these, the world’s fastest headphones? 8. House of Marley Headphones - $59-$69 Partially made with hemp. Yah, mon. Now extra legal in Washington and Colorado. 9. Tim Tebow Signature Series Headphones - $299.95 I don’t know quite what being an evangelical football star has to do with music, but it may be no mere coincidence that these headphones are from Soul Electronics. Tim says he’s thinking of renaming one of the headphone models in his line – the one formerly called the “Jet.” 10. Motorheadphones - $99-$129 Remember the mockumentary “This is Spinal Tap” about “the world’s loudest band?” Well, not to be outdone, the hard-rocking metal band Motorhead has come out with their own line of headphones. According to Motorhead’s lead vocalist Lemmy Kilmister, “We designed these headphones to deliver everything louder than anything else.” www.news.yahoo.com/blogs/upgrade-your-life/stupid-genius-ten-craziest-gadgets-154405505.html?.tsrc=yahoo |

Mr_Anony: My dear friend, I am afraid I disagree with you on this one. I used to be in your shoes before especially in the Nigerian context where we reduce christianity to people that don't smoke, don't drink, don't plait weavon e.t.c. but in my journey with Christ I have come across Christians that do all the so called "bad things" and I can't biblically reprimand them. For instance in some of the christian fellowships I've attended, we drink and smoke while we share the Word. I don't smoke and drink personally but I can't put a burden on people when the Holy Spirit has not put it on them. It's ok to disagree with me bro, but the fact that people say the world has changed and so we must change with it is something I just dont buy. The Word of God is the same yesterday, today and forever so it does not matter what people think or say, or how they try to twist the Bible to suit their way of life, cravings and desires. I'm an ardent believer in the Word and we must not allow changing times to affect our interpretation of the Bible. For example,1 Timothy 2:9 says "Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire." The fact that people dont obey this scripture does not make it ineffective cos the Word of God remains true for evermore. Another example,Matthew 23:9 says "And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven." Now people call our pastors "Father" despite Jesus expressly and explicitly telling us not to call anyone father here on earth. He was talking about spiritual father which is what people call our pastors. Now, the scripture remains true whether people abide by it or not. Now why would anyone tattoo the cross or the scripture on his body when we have been told not to damage our bodies. How does it even glorify God? So does bowing to the "image of Jesus" or bowing to the Bible glorify God? Pls we shld be careful how we twist the interpretation of the Word. I'm not here to judge cos God is the only Judge, but I just believe it is best to abide by the Word whether it is convenient or not, and not try to twist the Bible to suit us. |
Snowwy: 2 Timothy 3:16Pls re-read my comment, I never said the OT should not be quoted; I only said we should be careful how we quote the OT cos many of the things in the OT are meant for our learning and do not apply to us today. I gave example of animal sacrifice which was acceptable in the OT but not anymore cos Jesus has paid it all. |
@snowwy, truthfully I question your understanding of the Bible. Do you really know why we even have the OT in the Bible when we actually live in the new testament? Many of the things in the OT dont apply to us today such as animal sacrifice, the Mosaic law, etc. The OT was written and included in the Bible for our learning; it is there for us to know where we are coming from as Christians. There is the need to fully understand why we have the OT in order to know how and when to quote it. 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. You need to pray for the Spirit of understanding. |
2good: I'm also out of this thread because your intelligence is just too low for me to engage with you in a rational discussion.I'm glad I finally chased all the atheists off my thread. Atheism is a tumor that must be rooted out early before it spreads and contaminates the entire body. And by the way, I can not be rational when dealing with the things of God because you simply can not rationalize God. But of course you dont know this which is why you are an atheist. |
This is really nice but unfortunately such short skirt is frowned upon in Africa. But can't deny the fact that the ankaras and the style look perfect on them - a real African beauty. |
2good: You still did not quote where the bible was specific about tatoo. What also happened to people whose body was disfigured by accident? Or those who were born deformed from birth? Why did thesame god allow them to have the accident or be born deformed? Try and reason well before you respond to people's post.It is not possible for the Bible to mention every sin by name; smoking is not specifically mentioned in the Bible but we as Christians know it's a sin based on the verses I quoted earlier. Those who were born with marks, had surgery which left them with marks or had accident leaving them with marks on their bodies can not be considered as sin because it was not intentional and not even their own doing. The Bible is not a story book or a novel; it's a spiritual food from God which requires a certain level of spirituality to understand it, that is why I laugh whenever I see scholars or atheists trying to interpret the Bible. |
musKeeto: I'm out of this thread. Not a sucker for hypocrisy, deceit, pride and envy.Pls dont let the door hit you in the face on your way out. Ignorance is a disease. |
musKeeto: Good, good, now post NT verses regarding tatoos...1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.” 1 Timothy 2:9 "Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire." Simply because people do these things don't make them right before God. |
musKeeto: Leviticus 19:27 "'Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.Pls stop quoting old testament and the Mosaic law; we dont live in the old testament neither are we under the law. We live in the new testament and we function by grace. But for obvious reasons I dont expect you to understand this. |
go4value: I CANNOT BE POOR.amen! |

lol |
*Kails*:Wrong! Google Barbados and see the languages spoken. They speak Yoruba and Igbo as well. |
*Kails*:But you are wrong sir! It is a directive from God not to damage our body in any way because the body does not belong to us but to Him. That is why it is a sin to commit suicide. Damaging the body God put in your care is sin before God despite your being "nice". |
Why are u doing this to yourself? You are displaying your folly dear, pls stop it! You have shown yourself lacking in spiritual matters, how do you expect to understand the words of the Bible. To you those Bible verses are f00lish and senseless because you simply dont have the spiritual standing to understand the words of the Bible. I really wish to help your case but. . . |
THREAD CLOSED AND LOCKED! |
2good: Not again. Can you try and use your head to reason rather than quoting from ancient text? The Holy Bible is the book of wisdom, and reasoning outside the Bible can only be f00lish. |
2good: How can I trust an ignorant person who rant all the time without giving an evidence for his claims besides some ancient book he quotes all the time. Its really funny bro.The ignorant one is calling another ignorant (lol). Spiritual food is not meant for those outside the kingdom; how can you understand spiritual matters when u are not in the kingdom. Luke 8:10 - He said, "The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, "'though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.' Mat 13:10. And the disciples came and said to Him, "Why do You speak to them in parables?" 11 He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. 12 "For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 13 "Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 "And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: 'Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not perceive; 15 for the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.' 16 "But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; |
2good: Is it not thesame body that will decay when you die? You religious people are really too funny.Yes it's that same body you use to commit all forms of sins that decays becos the body is meant to function only here in the world. What you do with that body before it dies and decays is what you are gonna give account of in the afterlife. And there is nothing funny about that, trust me. |

Ronny2: Davidos' sister is engaged, kk o am api 4 her but dis non of my bussiness.Afterall, she is nt engaged to my man.sharron congrat.lol |
musKeeto: Murder and tatoo na d same thing? You are entitled to your opinion bro, stay blessed and atheism leads to hell. |
